Santi deleted his entry. He must have been injured, which is why he played the way he did this week in Geneva. Hopefully he gets better soon, his ranking is about to take a nosedive.

I read Simone is applying for a WC to play here. This entry list is damn good for a 30K.

Weird to see Virgili losing to Kowalczyk. Maybe he had a fluke week a while back.

08-28-2010, 07:31 PM
OK, Pippo, are we going to do this again this upcoming week? Let's go now, Manerbio was more points, but you can do well here. And Steve plays Crivoi again. And they are drawn to play in the QF against each other. All of this is setting up for disaster in R1. Still fucking pissed off about their losses, could have solidified top 100 positions.

Jesse v Robin R1, plenty for the Dutch to cheer in that match. Winner should have a decent shot at making the final.

Muster playing a Q, maybe he can get his first challenger win in his comeback.

Crazy Dani playing a Q, but anything is a difficult draw for him these days.

Hopefully Steve and Pippo make the QF and the winner wins the event.

Haase has a quite difficult draw having to face Jesse in 1st round, possibly Fischer in 2nd round, Machado/Schoorel/Mertens in 1/4 so will see how he will perform considering that he is playing the final in Manerbio today. The 2nd quarter is not easy either. I hope that Thomas can win his 1st match on his comeback :worship:

On the bottom half of the draw Lorenzi and Ungur are the favourites to meet in an hipothetically 1/4 clash. Pippo may be the favourite to win in the last quarter but will face uprising Brizzi and Tavares in 2nd round which shouldn`t mean a big problem for him if he plays well and the winner of Darcis vs Crivoi in 1/4.

Under my opinion I don`t see a clear favourite to win here. It is a very interesting draw considering that the first week of the USO is being played at the same time.

BTW Como is a great place where to attend a tournament too :).

It's not a tough draw for Haase. He's at least a class above all players in his quarter.

It's not a tough draw for Haase. He's at least a class above all players in his quarter.

Totally agree with you. I`m just a bit concerned about his physical condition and that he might feel mentally quite tired too considering that he won singles and doubles in Manerbio and is going to play doubles here too. That`s the only item that makes me hesitate to believe that he can win here this week.

If Steve wins this event, he'll be in the top 100.

Please do it for me, Steve :tears: And yes, I have to begrudgingly root for Steve over Pippo if they play in the QF. And over Robin if he makes the final. They are top 100 already. Hopefully Steve wins the event.

In 2008, when ritirň after just two games, leaving the victory to Diego Junqueira, it was thought unlikely to see him in these parts: Daniel Koellerer, ATP 156, but is back and you'll quickly get the 2nd round. He defeated the young German Stebo, ATP 358. The famous Austrian is a bit 'everywhere because it is angry and also this game does not save bizarre behaviors (sitting on a chair waiting for the bottom field is completely clean of tiny leaves), colorful phrases (he also learned Italian ones!) and glances directed to the audience just move a muscle too. His contender instead is a quiet boy who does not impress. Forfeit the first game but not hope. If you do not commit blunders have the game in hand instead Koellerer 3-1 on the door and he is finished.

Great backhand, decent forehand, good serve, decent variety, pretty good mover, times the ball well when he's playing well. Also he's pretty feisty which I like, and he's a clay courter, and clay court players I always tend to fall for. He also chokes a lot, which is the biggest issue I have with following him as a fan.

Robin v Pippo final on the cards again? Scary, I hope Pippo can win it this time if they do play. If he wins he'll be near the top 90 and closer to solidifying a top 100 position at the end of the year. Good luck to both tomorrow.

Too bad for Julien, but good that Robin won.

Now Pippo v Minar, lets go Filo! Make it happen.

Disaster has struck in the first set of Como.

Minar 6-1 set one. Pippo cannot lose to this guy at home in Italy. Hopefully he recovers in set two.

Minar serving for the match at 6-1 5-4

Pippo better hold on here and avoid another bad result.

Amazing Robin!!!!!! He's just tearing up these challengers. So impressive. So glad to see him in the top 100 now solidly. Can't wait to see him playing ATP events next year. He's really improved so much it seems after coming back from injury. Great performances.
