The first WC goes to Ascione http://www.opendemoselle.com/ He's one of the best friend of Boutter and will play here his last professional tournament since he decided to retire.

As Mathieu will surely have one it gives only one for a young player or other players Ruffin, Mannarino, Mahut, Gicquel, Tursunov and even Kiefer asked for one according the local press.

In an interview given in Cyprus, Markos Baghdatis said that his next tournament is in Asia (KL - Malaysia). It seems that he is skipping Metz (unless he changes his mind)

Yes he retire from tennis. he almost stop playing since RG but there will be the end. If They are giving a WC for Cilic it's surely also because Jo doesn' take the decision play or not.

I'm so annoyed by Cilic, why is he always not entering and then ask for a WC? If he goes to Metz because he hasn't been doing well lately, is not like he didn't expect that, he sucks since Aussie this year . And he already won 2 MM tourneys this year, is not like he needs those pts either . Anyway, I feel bad for Paulo so I have to vent.

Maybe PHM enters the MD if Tsonga or someone else withdraws. I´m not sure if Tsonga can play...

So Simon gets the 3rd WC and no Cilic? Would be great because Cilic doesn´t need the points and he always asks for WCs -.-

In the post above posted by nalbyfan. I don´t know any rule which says "one player can replace another in the draw" or sth like that (usually the 1st alternate gets that spot) , so actually Simon has to recieve a WC if he wants to play Metz.

Hm I doubt they´ll take Cilic´s WC to givt it Simon.
Maybe they´re going another way with it.

BTW when does the draw come out.

There's a rule there somewhere. I seen this before. Rotterdam this year, someone from MD pulled out and the organizers invited Llodra to enter instead of giving it to the next alternate.

here: the rule
http://www.menstennisforums.com/showpost.php?p=9601248&postcount=83

Also read it in this article that it is called "the Substitution rule". So the tournament has been waiting for 5 days to get the approval of using this rule for a substitution to replace a seeded player.
