Sam Querrey and the US Open Series

Sam climbed to the top of the US Open Series standings to join Mardy Fish, after his victory at the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles. Querrey won the championship with a win over Andy Murray, the highest ranked player Sam has ever beaten. With four more tournaments in the US Open series before the US Open it appears as though Querrey may be peaking just where he did last year. He could be looking at leading the US Open series into the grandslam at Flushing Meadows for the second straight year. How does everyone else think Querrey will do? Not only in the rest of the US Open Series, but for the US Open as well.

As someone pointed out in another thread, Sam does have a habit of getting to finals and then going out in the first round. So he needs to be careful about what he chooses to do over the next few weeks in the lead-up to the Open. If he plays it right I think he could do pretty well, although I think the field is wide open this year - if he's on top of his game, who knows!!

I wish him well :D
