Hello,I need some advice especially from Canadian guys-do you know how serious is Dancevic's leg injury?Odds on Levy are pretty good. Thanks for any kind of info:)

Levy last week seemed to be a little bit out of form. In my opinion has phisical problems and his tennis is decreasing a lot for that reason, specially when matches prolong to 3 sets. Dancevic also retired so is difficult to predict. In normal conditions I'd take Dancevic nevertheless.

was it not a 2 week break..or time span between the time he injred his leg and granby?

Fair enough, but being ranked in the 400s at the time and now the upper 300s I believe, he doesnt have the luxury of waiting around on "minor" injuries right now, I don't think.

All true, but you can't decide it based on one match. You don't know what happened in that match or who was the better player, because (I guess), you porbably didn't watch it.
nevertheless any Dancevic's injury or Levy's form recently, I agree that Frank is the favourtie here.

As an expat Canadian these results just stink. The Canadian men need to find out what the women are drinking and get in on some of that action. Every single one rolls out of Vancouver first round. Kind of glad now I didn't make the trip.

Some of them have talent and it is time to get it in gear.:scratch::shrug:

Polanski could do it, but his 1st serve % was awful in decissive moments.

Serving like this is impossible to win any decent player. Dent had problems with double faults but his rival is several levels below.

Surprised Tim lost to Tobias, I though Kamke would be too tired and Tim has been playing on a high level. Now, Tobias can go deep here if he continues his level.

the canadian women arent much better to be fair to the guys

aleks is on her way down, she had one good year that included a title but she wont be doing anything else.Everyone has figured out how to play her..and she has turned into a choker.

Aleks lost to Oudin leading 5-1 in the second set after winning set one :o

The one Canadian girl I like is Fichman, because she's such a clay court specialist, which is unique for a Canadian, and those are my favorite players.

Because he will. I'm about 85% sure Muller will win, maybe not kill, but 6-4 6-4 or so. Gilles has so much power, it's questionable if Ricardas can cope.

As far as Aleks losing to the annoying brat Oudin, I would prefer just erasing that from my memory.

Muller is not so dangerous, he didn't play well with Yani and Rycka is fighter. There will be very good fight :)

Filo V.
08-04-2010, 06:33 PM
It should be a tight match, Ricardas will have to be aggressive and serve well, not allow Gilles to dictate. Yani is different than Ricardas in that he's a grinder, the type of player that annoys big hitters. Rycka is an offensive player. So he'll need to apply his game plan well today. We will see what happens.

Berankis Fan Club against me :rocker::rocker::rocker:

Well I understand he is the Lithuanian hope, but is totally overrated, a future Top 80-100 with chances in ATP250 and american challengers.
Besides, 20 y.o isn't very young yet. At that age good players are in Top50 minimum. Nadal at 20 had 3 RGs.

"That "shit" Berankis, as you expressed yourself, has won US Open junior title back in 2007"
JUNIOR as u say. 3 years after he goes on playing in challengers.

"But it's normal, cause you are one of these pathetic tennis fans who see only label. Berankis don't need so big commercial like Ryan Harrison, Bernard Tomic, Grigor Dimitrov, Kei Nishikori."

Berankis, Dimitrov and Harrison are similars, overrated players.
Tomic and Nishikori are much better. Top 10-20 in a few years.

"He don't get Wild Cards like these players who names i wrote"
Berankis doesn't deserve any WC for ATP tournaments. Why should organizers give one to a common player? Nishikori and Tomic have shown their quality in ATP level.

Respect to I have no idea about tennis... How many times had u seen top tennis players in Lithuania? It's a joke...I've seen all Top30 players every year in live besides 2 Davis Cup finals, and you?

just for a record - if Berankis is "wortless piece of shit", so are all the players 20 years or younger, because he's ranked above them. And your precious Tomic isn't any better, because he gathered most of his points in piss poor aussie challengers and thanks to all the WC's he's been delivered. He also has questionable personality and some behaviour issues to sort out as well.

Well, if Oliver Rochus was Top30 this guy can reach it in a very good season. But I can't imagine him fighting against Nadal or any top20.
His main advantage is that his generation is a real disaster. Only a few talented players are coming. His main disadvantage is that Nadal, Djoko, Murray, Del Potro only are 3-4 years older.

there's no secret here bro - Ricardas felt pain in his hand and retired against Bogomolov couple of weeks ago, in case you want to accuse him of some dirty deals. Now he feels fine and beats players he is supposed to beat, that's all.

Hm...what a tosser...Unless you go every year to Wimbledon and O2 arena for tour finals (as i do)...tennis you see in spain is second rate... as clay is second rate...as you not even good to be second rate.
Congratulations To Spanish Army.

That's great! He has 44 points to defend late Aug-early Sep., but if he qualifies for the US Open then that will pretty much defend those points. Also he should do well if he decides to play the Asian ATP events with the weak draws, or if he plays the after US Open hard court events. Taylor's serve deserted him after he had opportunities to win the match in straights. If he wants to stay in the top 100 he has to get his serve back under control or at least around the level it was before his back injury.

Dudi 7-5 6-3.

Great and expected title for Dudi, congrats!

Ricardas had his chances in both sets, but tournaments like these will only help him on his learning curve. He's progressing wonderfully. Hope he does will in New York next week.
