I'm hoping for a great final with the style differences between Hewitt and Fed.

Oh, TF, you are soooo wrong for that....but it's the truth though.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tim became a slamless no. 1 (if Fed has an off year). ;)

And Roger has to be on his death bed, practically, in order for it to be considered a "bad year".

another great match by federer. poor timmy, but i think we all knew roger is just playing to well to let timmy get to him.

ok, i can understand when players lose and dont wanna stick around for autographs, but federer won and he just walked right by all those kids wanting him to sign something. whats up with that?

I gotta say- I was disappointed with Federer (who I love) for not signing any autographs for the kiddies when he left the court after the semis. He just ignored them.

oops just realized that I copied your sentiments pinkone. Federer is known to be a nice fellow. Maybe he was just in a zone or something?

Me too Clara.

Just one more match, and he can make history. Hewitt will be tough though, with his confidence and speed and improved serve.

Maybe he had something to do.I don't know.He usually sign autograph.

Fed is in tunnel-vision mode right now. Plus, all those kids just want sigs. It doesn't matter from whom. They always run up after the match, then run to the next match, then the next match. They aren't too upset. They'll be back tonight and tomorrow.

Nice that Pim Pim signed even though he lost.

I am sure Rogi signed plenty of autographs after his matches and on the practice court. Rogi has to focus and do his media stuff and go home and rest up for HEwitt.

So, how many Grand Slam semifinals has Henman lost now? Anybody knows?

Roland Garros: 1
US Open: 1
Wimbledon: 2? 3? 4? 5?

Maybe he had something to do.I don't know.He usually sign autograph.

I think he had diarrhea so he was broken at 5-2 lead. And then he ran away in a hurry after the short interview.

Maybe he needs *cherry flavor* pepto?

Federer is truly on the verge of a very rare achievement. I can't see Lleyton being able to stop him.

4 at Wimbledon, yes.

But really, I don't think he deserves the choker label. Of those six semfinals, the matches he was really in with a shot amounted to 2, against Coria at the French, and Goran at Wimbledon. There's no shame in just falling short to either at those respective locales.

Tim Mauresmo :bigcry: Great play by Roger today, should be an interesting Final. :yeah:

You know, if Andy had just won a match and didn't sign autographs, so many people on here would be bitching  ;)

I went to bed after Lleytons match, but kept the tape running and got all of Roger v Tim

Is it worth watching? ie was Tim very competitive despite the one sided scoreline?

There were some entertaining points. Not the greatest match, but it did have its moments for sure. I enjoy seeing Tim pull out great approaches and volleys, and Roger's response to that. Tim just couldn't keep a high enough level throughout the match. Tim did give Roger some resistance, but he still ended up losing a break in each set. In the last set he broke Roger when he was serving for the match, but unfortunately for Tim he was down TWO breaks at that point, lol. :)

Awe, poor Timmy  I knew he wasn't going to win this match against The FedEx but I was cheering for him lol. Federer's shots were just :worship: I even fell asleep in the third set when the score was 4-1

Hopefully Tim will at least get a Slam before he retires, I really think he deserves one!

xavid, he lost to Sampras twice, Ivanisevic (which was his best chance to have won) and Hewitt in Wimbledon, all 4 of whom went on to win the title

in Rg he took a set off Coria which was more than anyone expected of him

and then in the Usopen he just lost to a better man. i really dont think hes a choker at all, he really has come up against the best

btw, i think Amelie has a manlier body than tim :o
