The draw's come out and Carlos is the #1 seed! He has a quali first round...in the second round he'd meet either Weiner (USA) or Lee (KOR)...Carlos definitely has a good chance in this tournament! VAMOS CHARLIE!!!!

A good chance indeed!!

don't expect too much from carlos because i think he will go back to spain as soon as possible for training for the semis from daviscup, i don't think he will reach the semi or the final. Too less time to travel back to spain and prepare for daviscup

well he was supposed to play today (against the French quali Tsonga) but I think play's been cancelled due to bad weather so it looks like he'll be playing tomorrow, along with a lot of other people...

(oh, this is my 1000th post...yay go me!)

CARLOS!!! :shout: now that's match tanking if ever I saw it...

09-15-2004, 03:50 PM
damn.... just a two-day tour in Beijing

09-17-2004, 06:44 PM
OK, tanking in Bejing but am I wrong if I say his form hasn't been great lately (Athens, USO)?? Or has it been more a mental problem (choking like this lately), mental tiredness? I'm quite worried before the Davis Cup semi!!! I pray he'll pull himself together!

09-18-2004, 01:07 PM
yeah, you're right...Carlos hasn't been playing that great...Athens and US Open were a huge disappointment as he had good draws in both tournaments and had great chances to do well. He seems a bit lacklustre at the moment...dunno what's up with him. I'm also having second thoughts about the Davis Cup...a while I ago I was thinking Spain would romp away with it, but now I'm not so sure...what with Carlos and JC both in dodgy form...and France are a notoriously good team

hey guys, too bad that he went out in China Open. But did you see the guy wo beat him was crying? It was such a huge accomplishment for him to beat the one and only Carlos Moya.

I agree he hasn't been looking that great. I really hope he can pick himself up and get back into it. show some more motivation. I think maybe just really mental and physical tierdness??
well I hope he gets reeeeaaaaalll good rest and relaxation before Davis Cup and hopefully playing in Spain with his other fun teammates will get him in the grove.

good luck Carlos, were rooting for ya man!!!!!!!!

Hi Red Ruby! Didn't see the China Open but it certainly was the biggest win for this guy.
And I really hope Carlos will be well prepared for the Davis Cup weekend! VAMOS!!!!! :bigclap:
