Pim Pim vs Roddick: How Long Will the Ball Actually be in Play?

This started out as a joke among some posters. I thought with the amount of aces, and finesse tennis. It will be interesting to see how long the ball will actually be in play for this match.

I don't know, but I hope P2 comes out with a game plan.

What strategy PimPim has the serve strategy and hit everything on the forehand.

Not desparate, just honest. Rain delay, an injury, PimPim getting tight... Mac was just picking one of the polite two of those three options.

Yeah, and for the looks of it, there will be no more BP for Pimpim. I hope he wins, but if it's Roddick instead, I wouldn't be surprised. And please, how boring/horrible is this match? I guess the only good thing about it is to know if Roddick will be a victim of his own weapons.

Dont' worry, they won't. PimPim will lose in the Qf ;)

Now... it's PimPim who wants and injury, rain delay, or Roddick getting tight (which won't happen) right about now ;)

Andy really bores me to death tonight. Not his game, him. I've stopped watching in the middle of the third set. I miss the old immature Roddick, when he displayed more emotion and was actually either wearing sexy or nice clothes. At this point I would much rather see Hewitt in the final.

God I only hope so!

If it can't be Andre, then it's gotta be Roger, I've been rooting for him since the juniors and his Wimbledon domination of Pete, so I sure as hell hope he whips RoboRod.

The true USO final already took place earlier today.

Roddick had 15 break points to Jokeim's 2.

If RoboRod ends up losing, he might want to fracture his hand on the wall Kevin Brown-style.

I will.

I'd love to see a 7 hour marathon match where both players are hitting 70 mph serves and barely able to move. It's kinda like those old boxing matches that went 20, 30, 50 rounds.

I actually think that it's a bit of a compliment to Roddick that people assumed he'd pull out the fifth set with ease.

In the rec room of the dorms, I was like, "let's watch tennis". So we turn it on, and everyone was like, "Tommy who? Lleyton who?" And then Andy came on screen and--in chorus now--"ANDY RODDICK! HE'S SO HOT!!!" And then he lost.
And at the end of the night, everyone was like, "Joachim who? Roger who?"

Some ignorant Americans never learn.....

Yeah, because all Americans are exposed to are other Americans. It would be interesting, though, to see how Super Saturday is handled.

The dingbats should have seeded Andre 3rd, in which case they would have had an American in the final.

Of course The Ducko choking didn't help the event organizers one bit, I imagine.

Me? I have two of my countrywomen in the Semis, so it won't be boring. Prior to this year, our women's tennis was pretty much dead. Now we have 5 girls in the Top 10, and another 2 not far behind. All in one calendar year basically. Wow.
