Where in the fuck did this form come from for Gaba.:bounce::bowdown:

When he puts it together, he's a really good player. Glad he's playing well here, took advantage of the draw. With the way Andy is playing today, who knows what can happen in R3.

To answer the question, this result would put him right at the top 100. Winning his R3 would put him solidly in it. I'm just happy he's put together such a good performance and is finally showing some good form, better late than never.

Grega  But still great result - 4 wins on RG and historical first Slovenian men victory on main draw of grand slams ever. :yeah: Thank you for this. :) Hopefully Gabashvili will lose against Kavčič in 3rd round.

I'm thrilled for Gabashvili. I've been following him in challengers online and watching him qualify at the majors and it's nice to see him making a solid run at the FO.

If Gaba can keep his head together and keep this level of form, he has a DEFINITE chance of beating A-Rod. The aggressive game he has and decent return of serve should benefit him, also the rain that's been going on will help him. I think he can do it, I like Andy, but that would be an amazing win for Gaba. We'll see what happens.

He needs to pull himself together for a stunt like this sometimes so he can lose comfortably in challenger when he's 1.05 for a few months

Hopefully he can surprise Roddick  I think definitely he may take a set!

the level roddick showed in his match against kavcic and in most parts of his match against nieminen shouldn't be enough to beat an on-fire gaba

expect gaba to be even more nervous and mentally fragile and roddick to be a lot better when they play
should still be enough for one set, any better result depends on gaba's nerves probably

Gaba I think will win the first set, regardless of how Andy is playing. I think he's going to come out on fire to prove a point, and he seems really confident. Andy will raise his level, and then it will be up to Gaba to show he can stay at a good level. Your right, it will come down to his nerves and mental ability, and overall belief. Personally, I don't think he can keep it up for a best-of-5 match, but it really depends on how far into the match he can stay on fire before his probable collapse. If he can get a 2-0 sets lead or set lead and break/double break in the second, he could pull it off.

confidence shouldn't be a problem, 12-0 sets for gaba in paris

hope he doesn't realize he played some players with big problems(koellerer, karanusic)

Andy has a big problem too----he's not great on clay. So that's where Gaba needs to step in and take advantage.
