Yes, Verdasco played well today. It's nice to see him in a good mood too, after the whole debacle in Nice. The french crowd didn't boo him either, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I liked what he wrote on the camera at the end "I see you, besos."

ETA: I forgot to write that the only negative today was the first set, should have been 6-3 and not 6-4. But he improved in the second and third set though.

Good stuff, he really needs a few easy+quick wins, the body might not hold up too well to a long hard match. Serra next should be easy enough, but after that it's Kohl, which might be tricky if he's in the mood.

He could skip the Davis Cup quarterfinals (don't think he will though, not against France on a hard court) but he will have at least two weeks off after, and maybe he will withdraw from Gstaad (does he REALLY need any more clay matches?) to give himself a month break before Toronto.

Good scenario, I hope he follows it. Nando's very fit but he's not built to be an "Ironman" like say Davydenko, he can pick up little injuries very easily.
