Might as well change this to a general thread until it is deleted. Mina vs. Nadal, third on Court Suzanne Lenglen on Tuesday.

HMG stands for How Many Games?

The lowest ranked player in the draw (I think) plays the man who is undefeated on clay this year. 18 year old Mina is ranked 655 and playing only his second tour level match (lost 7-5 6-4 to Kubot in Nice last week). Mina has had great success in juniors, winning the u18 Orange Bowl last year as well as making the final of Roland Garros and semis of the US Open and Australia Open (this year). Nadal needs no introduction.

(Sorry was all ready to add a poll but forgot to tick the box).

Cakewalk draw for the moonballer. His luck is beyond explanation.

Rafa has a brain fart and Mina holds his serve once or twice -- 1-3 games.

after what happened last year, i aint taking anything for granted.
hopefully nadal can play some attacking tennis.
susen lenglen court is faster than center court, thats why they are putting mina vs nadal in that court.

every match nadal plays, u have ur heart in ur mouth, nadal is prone to massive upsets of the highest order.

Negative, it's exactly the opposite. Because of the foundation Susan Lenglen is slower then PC. That's why they put Murray Gasquet there.

it depends on the day. lenglen plays more like a clay court. rafa will demolish mina.

i heard a french commentator say that lenglen is faster, but maybe he is not informed.
PC looks faster than SL.

but PC has vicious bounce, that ball kicks up viciously in very hot weather.
its faster but it has higher bounce and any surface that has high bounce regardless of court speed, thats advantage nadal.
because even though the court is fast, the opponent cant hit through nadal because the ball is bouncing out of the sweet strike zone and just giving nadal short balls to dispatch.

It is tricky match, Mina is a junior champion.

Mina in 3 or 4, if he plays a solid match.

Seriously, what an "extreme" match-up! Unknown Nr.655 against Rafzilla, the clay monster...Let's hope it's not a public humiliation.

I voted 4-6 games and think that is a good guess. It may go to 7-10 if Nadal loses consentration, but I don't think he will..

Federer's draw is easier than Nadal's.

Luczak-Falla-Rochus/Reister are easy first rounds.
Maybe even easier than the Nadal's part.
But after it, the draw of Federer is a lot tough.
Wawrinka/Monfils in R4 then Soderling in Q aren't easy at all.

To answer to the question, I don't think that Mina will be that destroyed. I hope anyway. He did a decent scoreline against Kubot last week (OK Kubot is shit currently but still). I think that Gianni can get maybe 10 games.

Nadal is actually the most upset proof man on tour and that is a lot of the reason he is ranked so high. He virtually never loses before the quarters of any event (last time was a year ago to Soderling) nor to someone who isn't ranked very high or on a very good run. Perhaps if you consider the chance of him retiring hurt or being injured and not being able to move very much then you might have a bit of a case.

I find it silly that people complain when there is no poll but then some people make a mockery of them anyway. I mean 25% of people thinking Mina will win makes me .
