Despite the loss, great scoreline for Haase, he should take some positives from this. It's a shame he had the knee problems for a year considering he was a promising talent, maybe he'll start to find his form again.

Another 5 set win for Mugro. He's no stranger to these 5 set epics.

Cabezon loves the 5 setters, he wants to be Lapentti in this field.

Robin was really really close to pulling off the biggest upset so far in the tournament on the men's side. This is definitely very encouraging for Robin, looking at the stats seems like Almagro had really issues with Robin's serve until the end of the 4th and 5th set.

Almagro has a lot of heart, you have to give him credit for that. He rarely loses to these types of players ranked below him, generally wins 5 set matches, and he rarely loses R1. He knows how to get the job done in close matches outside of playing Nadal and Tsonga.

Yay! Glad Almagro won. I like him, he has a nice game, but obviously didn't play his best today.

I think the scoreline is incorrect in the thread title.

The match was 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 for Nico and he was in danger of going out of the tournament in the 4th set when he was down a break.

Well done, Robin.
You can leave Paris with your head up high. A return to the top 100 is a matter of time!

Interesting with what score Almagro broken back in 4-th set: 4-3 or Haase serve to the match?

I was contact to fft@fft.fr and get answer:
Haase was broken when he served for the match(5*-4 in 4-th set)

What a Spartan this Nicolás.

Going all the way for his first RG title. 1 down, 6 to go.

Well, if Almagro had mp against him against Ginepri, you know Haase would have a chance. Very sad Robin couldn't push through...
