Genuine upset here. Tommy is good for 3rd or 4r of RG every year.

Remember people, this is Tommy's first tournament back after missing pretty much the entire clay season bar Monte Carlo. A win vs. a good player like Troicki would have been hard to come by for him.

Good result for Viktor regardless.

not really. Tommy could hardly move with his back problem. he's quite a prick for taking the main draw spot off somebody else.

Always a good day when this cheating mug loses.

What the fcuk, the Spanish players played today were all b!tches. The ones from who I expected nothing less than straight set wins lost pathetically and the one who I bet against unexpectedly beat the hell out of my chosen player.

if he was even 50% he would have swept Troicki aside, just like in Monte Carlo.

Ball will probably beat Troicki.

Oh definitely, Tommy would have won by about the same scoreline Viktor did. But when your movement is the basis of your game and that is hindered, you aren't going to win against a good player, which Troicki is.

I think Ball has a great chance to beat Troicki, I agree.

Bloody Robredo. I thought maybe, but I should've known after poor form this year.
Fish better beat Berrer so I actually gain some points.

This is a match, where it should have been a draw.

He's been out for the past couple weeks injured. I'd like to see how you could handle three sets when coming back from an injury.

This quarter of the draw has become even a bigger joke that I thought it would be, just imagine how much worse it would have been if Murray and Tsonga actually lost their 1st round matches though :o

Don't waste your breath PSwoop. We've got some pretty good mugs sprinkled around this forum and they'll never come close to achieving what Tommy has achieved in tennis. :) Too bad for Tommy. When you're injured you're injured. No two ways about it. But good for Troicki that he capitalized on his opponent's weakness.

Tommy :(
I guess he really wanted to try to defend his great result last year so he decided to play while still not recovered from his injury :(
Good luck for summer season, Tommy, with a couple of nice tournaments you'll be quickly back to top 20 for sure :bounce:
Congrats Troicki :)

Geez, this garros is awful, first Pepa gets injured, now Tommy still not recovered and tomorrow will be Carla's turn... and she's in the same situation as Tommy :(

He's been having awful results this year, should have played the SA clay court swing instead of going to Dubai/USA :retard:

Well, get well soon son, you won't do anything on grass so it's time to get ready for the late european CC season ;)

Robredo was 100% fit as himself said, just outplayed and complained about a bit of bad luck here and there in the big points, lol

Three Spaniards down (Robredo, Hernandez, and Feliciano Lopez). Six still around - Four (Almagro, Verdasco, Ferrer, and Ferrero) on Nadal's half, and five (Montanes, Garcia-Lopez, Granollers, Andular, and Traver) on Federer's half. Dunno why but I have a feeling that the dozen Spanish players that enlisted in the current tournament have one common goal or objective in mind: strive hard to win, each one hoping to be able to bundle themselves together in the homestretch where their flag-bearer Nadal, a shoo-in for the semifinals, would be waiting for them. Yes, Verdasco and company, if they see Nadal there, may "conspire', at their expense, to catapult him to the finals. Writings on the wall.

How deep do you think Troiki will go? my guess is 3rd round.

yes great stuff victor. Agree with the people saying boredo was being greedy about not letting another guy in due to his injury, guy is like a jealous girlfriend just wont go away. Hopefully this begins the Boredo decline!!.

he better not come to Auckland this year, he is not wanted there

he should not have played but his ego is too great. A lucky loser should have taken his place, robredo is a dickhead for preventing that.

haha goodbye to his qf points, gtfo out of the top 30 son!!

I honestly think a lot of the reason Robredo played was to keep his consecutive Grand Slam appearances up. He hasn't missed one since 2000! Provided Robredo was still somewhat injured (I didn't see the match), Troicki's bemusing run of luck in draws continues. Next he's got an Australian wild card who won 9-7 in the 5th.
