:rocker2: Petzshner saved 4 MPs in 2 seperate service games and had BPs on Balls serve at 7-7. Best win of his career.

Disappointing from Petzschner, but he had an injury. But don't know if that bothered him because he kept playing for so long.

Good win for Carsten especially on this surface, but I think if Picasso didn't come into this tournament hurt and without having played for a few weeks, he would have won this match. I wonder if his injury affecting him today. He fought back several times in the 5th but it wasn't enough.

Same as US Open vs JCF, lost from 2 sets up. Totally exploded there, classic Petz, although he's been more mentally solid lately so perhaps that didn't happen here.

Another loss from 2 sets to 0 for Picasso. Good win for Ball, didn't run away and hide and fought hard to get the result.

That match was really unfortunate, even though I was rooting for Juan Carlos. Just total self-destruction from being ahead. I wouldn't be surprised though to read that his injury (I think a hip or knee situation) affected him during play.

Yeah groin strain first round of Madrid, retired R2 and then withdrew from Nice.

He's also been carrying a knee niggle for a month as well afaicr.

Yeah, I wish there was some type of match reports so we could all know what happened, if Ball played well or if there was some type of injury hindering Picasso.

Well, on to the grass, probably good he can have a couple of weeks off to rest his body.

Big win for Carsten! His first time past R1 at Roland Garros and second time past R1 in a slam after winning at the US Open last year :)

Spent most of 4th set there, doctor went to treat Petzschner at 4-3 in the 4th set I think it was, but he didn┤t seem bothered, in fact he was holding easily and was close to break at 5-5, up 0-30 after two great points and had a bp, but Ball saved it with an ace up the T. Carsten broke it from 30 0 at 5-6 with 4 consecutive points, couple of good points from Ball, a bad fh into net from PP and a netted passing shot at set point against.
