John has improved immensely, more than a year ago he could barely withstand a 3 shot rally. Now only he has more variety in disposal, but also he's become one of the biggest fighters in the ATP circuit.

He's no better than Karlo, unless you're one of the clueless people who haven't noticed he has also improved in the mentioned areas about the time he cracked top 20, which was a long while ago. Well, there the BH, but that's about it.
