No thread yet ?

I was leaving home when Anderson was 2-0 up, dominating in all departments :o

Disappointing. Anderson has never, afaik, won a GS match, and you need to win at least one round to get a nice little ranking boost.

Was watching this - Anderson made a right mess of things. Had triple bp earlier in the third (1-1?), failed, broken straight after in disappointment. Had bps in successive games early in 4th, failed, mugged the tiebreak. Had bp start of 5th, failed .......lost the plot completely, broken to love and lost every remaining game.

Odd thing was that even when ER-V got a bit of a roll going, and Anderson had lost the accuracy and penetration of the early match, it was still relatively tight - the difference being Anderson was now losing any big point that came his way.

It was poor play from Anderson that allowed ERV back in the match, and then he raised his level and the crowd got into it. Kevin was dominating and lost intensity and focus and allowed his level to drop, and he never was able to turn the match around. He had chances in the 4th set to take control to win it and failed. Very disappointing for Kevin, but glad for ERV to get a win at the French.

I think Doud should be able to beat the likes of Anderson more easily on clay. The victory was expected, but a lot more energy seems to have been spent than necessary.
