Hardly a good match but still it's a good start.

Good run for the frenchman from the Qualies.

Quality choking in the 2nd set, solid for the rest.

Good try, Oli. Good job getting through qualies.

Congrats to Thiemo.

Could be the only unseeded player to make the 2nd week.

That Patience came through qualies was already a big surprise, so he should be very happy with his RG.

Good job Thiemo. Should probably have been easier, but it's still a win.

Good job, Thiemo! Probably a bit nervous this match.

You need to up your game a notch or 2 to beat GGL, though!

A tennis match on Dutch TV? It's been a long time since Martin Verkerk
Ah, of course. Thiemo!

Well done, glad he was able to deliver as should be expected from him right now, ranked as #50. Still made it a lot more difficult than needed, terrible brainfart in the 2nd set. Good sign that he didn't get bothered about it and just went on with business. :yeah:

Nice entertaining match to watch, lots of nice shots. Dropshot-Thiemo! :worship:

Male Hingis with those drop shots. Liked what I saw today, he's a good competitor with a great all-around game. I'd like to see him get a little more pop on those groundies though.

Did a good job holding on to his serve early in the fourth when Patience had a look at a break. Great retrieving on MP and then a nice little inside-out touch BH to seal the deal. Best of luck in R2. :yeah:
