Murray's quarter is a joke.

Rarely has there been a Grand Slam quarter so much worse than all the rest. I think that the third most dangerous player in each of the other quarters is more dangerous than the most dangerous player in Murray's quarter.

For me this is one of the most interesting matchups if it happens this year at RG. Two power hitters/giants that never met before. Who wins? Call me crazy but Fed would probably want to play Soderking more so than Cilic , even though some might argue Soderking is better player on clay. Also looking forward to seeing Novak vs Rafa in the semis.

Here's mine, with the h-2-h records in ()

Rogie over Sodie (Rogie leads 12-0, despite the Abu Dhabi exhibtion loss Rogie owns Sodie, 200 GS match wins)

Youzhny over Berdych (Youzhny leads 6-4, but this is a tough one to predict)

Chokovic over Melzer (Chokovic leads 2-0, but Melzer has been playing decently here)

Rafa over Almagro (Rafa leads 6-0, last three matches were closer, but it's really a no-brainer)

SF will be: Rogie vs. Youzhny and Rafa vs. Chokovic

Berdych taking 4 sets, Chokovic taking 4 sets, and Rafa taking 3 sets are all reasonable, but to think Rogie and Sodie are going 5 sets is ludicrous. It's going only 3 or 4 for Rogie. In fact, Rogie's only been broken twice in his 4 matches and only faced 13 break points. Rogie's been broken through the first four rounds less than any of the other men or even any of the women for that matter. Rogie's serve has been really on this tournament (Rafa for example through four rounds has been broken 8 times and has faced 30 break points, Rogie's done better on his serve and this is on Rafa's best surface, just thought I'd throw that in there). Also 19 aces and only 3 double faults in 4 matches, great serving.

Soda is about 10 levels higher than any other player Fed has faced this week. which renders those stats somewhat meaningless, and Rafa is hardly known for his serving prowess on any surface.

This is the biggest match of Rogie's career and not because of it being his 24th straight GS SF and 200th GS match victory if he wins, but because winning guarantees that even if Rafa wins the FO, Rogie will not only be #1 when the week ends, but he'll surpass Sampras' record of total weeks at #1 in men's tennis in singles. Rogie would tie it on 6/7 and surpass it on 6/14.

I want Rogie to win this match outright, not win it due to a walkover or Sodie retiring in the middle of a match and steal Rogie's glory/thunder/moment. Rogie needs this win so much.

Ok, I'll bite.

Fed wins over Soda easily in 3 sets. Soda may make one set close, a tiebreak or 7-5, but he will lose in straights.

Berdych vs. Youzhny is harder to call mostly because we have not gotten much coverage of either of their matches. However, if the media spotlight stays off of him, Berdych should win in 3 or 4. If Youzhny doesn't start beating himself on the forehead with his tennis racquet, I'll say 4 sets match to Berdych, if he does, then 3 sets to Berdych.

Djokovic vs Melzer, no brainer. Djokovic 3 sets. If his asthma acts up, one set will be tight.

Nadal vs Almagro...tight first two sets, 7-6, 7-5 then 6-1 to Nadal. If Nadal blinks, it will be 6-7, 7-5, 6-2, 6-2 or something like that. If Al-MUG-ro shows up, it will be 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 to Nadal.

Apart from Nadal who owns Federer on clay I believe Soderling is one of the few players who can get close to beating him at this stage but because he never beat Fed on tour (only exhibition) then I predict Federer in 5.
Fed might have played well so far but he didn't face a decent player yet or someone who can even get close to his level.
Luczak, Falla, Reister are not exactly top level players and Wawrinka is not even close to being as good as Soderling. Therefore the stats so far are meaningless.
