If so, terrible draw for both. Murray gets arguably the most dangerous non-seeded player, Gasquet gets one of the top 5 seeds.

Gasquet has been playing the most matches in the last two weeks, winning bordeaux challenger and probably going to reach nice final. If he's going to beat Murray he'll have to do it in straights, as the longer the match goes on for the more Murray will become favourite as Gasquet will be tired and Murray has superior fitness

One of the worst possible draws for both of them! Muzza getting a useful claycourt player; Gasquet drawing a very high seed. :help:

Gasquet should enter this match in the best possible shape for some time (unless he is tired/sore) as he should be feeling more confident about his game...confidence that only comes from winning many matches. The same can't be said about Muzza, who still appears to be struggling.

Bottom line is that Gasquet is clearly the classier player on this surface, so that isn't good news Muzza. However, the Gasquet I have seen over the last couple of years is a rather impatient player who does tend to lose focus quite quickly...so if Muzza can play effective defensive tennis (without patting the ball within the service box) I think the chances are that he will grind him out.

Gasquet is still also something of a 'mental midget' in the biggest matches, on the biggest stages, and the French Open brings out some of the worst in him too.

Muzza in 4-5 sets would be my prediction.

Gasquet known for his choking and going from the sublime to the ridiculous against Murray, yeah this is a 5 setter for sure...not.

I don't buy the "he'll be tired" theory. His matches have been easy for the most part. And he'll have a few days off in between Nice and RG. It's much better to be warmed up a bit from playing matches than coming in cold.

Would love Gasquet to pull an upset. But probably Murray in 4.

Not the best draw ever. If Murray was in the form of last year I'd say no probs but he has hardly looked hot on the clay this year could go either way if the frenchmen gets inspired. Murray in 4.

Yeah, a knee niggle. I don't imagine it's a huge worry, though. I heard it suggested that it was a result of the work he did on strengthening his legs after Madrid.

Apart his fuck up against Vliegen in 2007,you have the keep in mind that in FO, since 2005,Gasquet has been only beaten by Nadal in 2005(who won the whole thing of course) and Nalbandian in 2006(who made the 1/2 final that year,taking one set to Federer).........hardly any disgrace there!
