Dangerous flaoter IOW.

Not too many threats it looks like this year.

Is Gulbis seeded? Otherwise I don't think anybody from the above can make the QF's.

De Bakker and Nishikori. :rocker2:

Oh, I didn't notice the "QF" in the title. Oh well. However long their runs are, they should give the crowd something to cheer about. :rocker:

I think Chela, Zeballos and Dolgopolov are all dangerous floaters.

Kubot, Tipsarevic

Becker could shock the world if he gets red hot, but I kinda doubt it. And Nishikori and his PR maybe...

He's like Becker... he turns on for a few matches, can be dangerous on any surface

I love this Dolgopolov guy. Saw him play Nadal. He has serious game. The way Bagdatis has been playing lately is unbelievable, given his history on clay. Zeballos could do it. But no way are any of those guys QF material. Maybe R16

Forgot about Giraldo and DeBakker. Out of the choices on the poll, Granollers has the best shot. Im going with Baghdatis as best chance

Most of the real threats in qualifying have already lost. Most of the "dangerous" floaters either don't fit the floater label anymore, or are struggling for form.

Giraldo and Bolelli are two major floaters. Dolgopolov. Chucho. Kubot. L. and F. Mayer I think could have good tournaments.

The floater with the best opportunity to make the QF is Gasquet. Yes, really. Richard.

Of the guys on the list, GGL I think can do a 3rd-4th round, Chardy could turn it on for a 4th round, but I don't see a QF from any of these guys. Probably Chardy with the best chance, yes he's been struggling but he's probably the best player out of any of these guys when he's on.

GGL is NOT unseeded

Unseeded players don't often make quarters anymore. Round of 16 seems to be the ceiling.

In fact only 2 players since 2009 Oz open have made the quarters as unseeded players. Hewitt and JCF at 2009 Wimbledon. Not exactly out of nowhere players.

And last year the only unseeded player to make the 4th round was Haas.

GGL is NOT unseeded

GGL scrapes into seeding from withdrawals then loses all his Kitzbuhel points before Roland Garros. He'll be ranked around 43 next week making him one of the lowest ranked Grand Slam seeded players ever!

Becker :spit: Fognini :spit: Alves :spit:
What a choises...

I think Starace, PHM and Chela can do some damage.
They won't make it too far in the draw, but could produce an upset in the early rounds.
There are many more potencial dark horses, but I just had to point out members of my gang. ;)

Those 3 are much better than Starace:o. I considered putting Chela on the poll.

PHM won just two matches in this clay season so far and you think he could go far in RG :) And his wins were against Beck and Lajovic.
I would say none of them will make it to 4th round. There are just too much withdrawals so there´s hardly a very dangerous unseeded player. But Chela could make an upset.

Are you clueless? :spit:
Potito is top 20 claycourter at the moment, he's playing SF of Nice today and has loads of good results on clay, while the mugs mentioned above can barely win a match.

I said they could make an upset in first round (ala beating a high seed), but not making it far in the draw.

Given the draw, I would say someone in the 2nd quarter (Murray and Tsonga section). I know the 2nd quarter has two quarter-finalists by the way.

Llodra said that he has very big goals for roland garros and wimbledon. if he can get trough belucci in R1, ha can have chance. 2 years ago he made 4th round , and now he is a better player. and you know how he can play in France !!

Looking at the draw, Gasquet is most likely.

De Bakker has a chance too.

2nd quarter is a joke.

Looking at the draw, the clear answer now is definitely Richard. I can also see a nice tournament potentially for Dolgo. That's about it.
