Thank God, I thought that match would never end.

Wonder how the ballkids enjoyed handling Novak's slimy booger-infested towels? :D

Good match, nice rallies. Djoko played very well for about 1,5 set. Didn't start well and didn't end well, but it was a lot better than against Serra. If he keeps improving like this, he will be okay.

If you put "Đ" in Novaks last name than you shold also put "ć" at the end...anyway, good match from Novak, some very good rallies...I expected more from Stan.

mugrinka can string together only a few good shots in a rally.......i like his positive approach but obviously consistency is his problem.......

one of the main differences between these players and the top players today is that, the top players can hit 10-15 shots in clutch and others cannot........

It was a shit match. Most ATP matches these days are about who makes less UEs and who keeps it in play.

This was one of those.

A lot. I can count the amount of great matches in 2010 on one hand- how many matches so far this year and last would make your list of all time classics? Go on.

Great for Nole, he's getting there where he belongs. Wawrinka is never easy. :bounce:
He hit some awesome shots, still some problems with the serve, but pretty good overall.
Pathetic haters get lost, stop trolling around Djoko's posts, you bore me to death.

Only 1 DF from Novak. Nice.

I know that he likes impersonating Sharapova but it was starting to get a little ridiculous.

You're going a bit overboard with the past-era love. For Christ sake, you're a University student. How old are you, 23 like me? It's not like you've been watching tennis for decades .

It's good to keep a certain perspective on the evolution of the game but cmon, you're totally over the top most of the time. Lots of players are saying that they're playing better than ever (e.g. Roddick) but they're just full of shite are they? MTF armchair analysts are better I suppose

Glad that Novak won, though I guessed Stan in my draw challenge. Still, I'm faring a lot better in Monte Carlo than in the other two Masters (though Miami was a bust sinc I waited for the qualifiers' names to be added in the draw and promptly missed the deadline with my draw VERY unfinished.

Roddick is worse than he used to be. The players aren't going to declare that they suck.

Some truth in this, however armchair analysts take the it for granted that they lie all the time. They can be candid as well.

Roddick 2003, sure he pummelled forehands but he couldn't hit a backhand to save his life and didn't have much court craft. He hit a hot streak at the end of 2003 like many high-risk players sometimes do. Since then he's been a force in the top10 because of his consistency and got himself closer to a Wimbledon title than ever before with improved consistency and smarter play.

Djoko looked good to me. No signs of mental or physical fatigue, and dropping Frankencoach seems to have lifted a burden off his shoulders.

Well done Nole :hatoff:
