Do you think Nalbandian will be a dark horse in Paris?

A bit like Soderling was to Nadal in 2009.

Coming with such a low ranking to a GS (and apparently in good form), I guess he can be quite a threat to any of the top players he has to face early in his quarter. Maybe he'll end up losing but if there's a chance of someone taking out Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, etc. early, I'd say he's the most likely candidate to do the job.

Anyhow, I'll wait to see what the draw is like. Something interesting might happen this year too.

Potentially he can. He has the game to upset anyone. Problem is he probably won't be able to do the distance because of his weak endurance.

Nalbandwagon gathering steam again.

Anything can happen with him can play 5 star tennis and then lose to anyone cause he might not be in the mood.

No. It's just too late for him. Maybe if he had tried harder in his earlier days.

Fit David's exotic dance seems disturbingly jovial given Fat David's usual moody persona.

No. He'll play a 5 setter in the 1st or second round and it will be the end of the road for him.

No stamina. Can't even last with Nadal in a best of 3 match. Can beat Muzza though.

After watching his match with Youzhny yesterday i would have to say no. Doesn't look like he has the fitness yet! Great to see him back playing again though.

Absolutely. I see no reason he can't win Bercy again.

In Bercy he can be.

He will lose to Robredo today and people will jump off the bandwagon again.

to me..he is normally a darkhorse. Nothing new here

Last 16 max.

No fitness, and he could face Federer/Nadal/Djokovic in early rounds, so being unlucky he can be crashed out in first round.

No, but he will for sure enjoy the Parisian Entrecôte

Why not.I want him to play against Federer in 1st round at RG.If he plays with Murray,he will definitely destroy the Brit. But against Rafa,Nole and Delpo-NO CHANCE

When I read yours and see nothing but an anti-semite rant, I think mine isn't that bad after all  :o

Nalbandian at his best would school Faker and Del Mugtro out of town. And Rafito on other surfaces except clay.

David Nalbandian: RG 2010 Quarterfinalist.

No more, no less.

Never say never with Nalbandian but it's a long time since we saw impressive tennis from him at a grand slam. He can provide entertaining tennis against top players but is highly fallible against a wider range of players than most, the probability of him reaching further than R16 is low. If he does get to the last 16 though that would be a good accomplishment.

The thing about Nalbandian is he can beat anyone but could also lose to anyone in the 1st round.

If you mean is he THE one the seeds don't want to see in early rounds, than a resounding yes

I'm laughing at the fact that you seem to think that adopting an anti-Israeli state stance means being "anti-semite".

It's stuff like this which makes me agree with your signature more and more :wavey:

True but I think Nalbandian is the type of player who gets motivated by the big challenges. Thus, if he draws a big player early in RG (and that scenario wouldn't be unlikely given the low ranking he's going to have), things could be interesting.

But, yeah, I'm speculating quite a bit considering that I don't even know what the draw is going to be like.

David is unlucky he´s hitting the ball as clean as ever and serving close to the best he´s ever served at times just after his hip is cooked.

So the answer is his hip won´t let him go all the way

Nalbandian is always dangerous and always unpredictable but he is not back to his best yet and needs more time, still I can see him make the quarters with a good enough draw.
