Sorry to intrude here, I was just wondering: Where is Andy at the moment? Or yesterday infact. Because my friend is positive she saw him on the beach at Sandbanks, Dorest yesterday? Does anyone have any ideas?
Good luck to Andy in Monte Carlo

According to his website he is in Monte Carlo right now.

Wherever he is, I'd be amazed if it were Dorset...

Yeah, that was what I thought?! She said he looked/sounded exactly like him and was on a bike that said "sponsered by Head"
Well I don't know, apparently his mum owns a house in Sandbanks though? But it all sounds a bit ... far fetched xD
Ah well ... I'll have to look out next time :P

Andy was due to play doubles but it's been rained off today so that will be rescheduled.

I gather he's third on court 2 for that tomorrow.

Wow they beat Cermak and Mertinak 6-1 7-5  Good job boys :D

scoobs
04-12-2010, 08:53 PM
Yeah that's a decent win, Cermak and Mertinak are decent players on clay and made it to the WTFs last year. I'm hoping this bodes well for Andy's singles debut on Wednesday

DualMedia

Phillip is good on clay, Andy needs to be a pusher and wait him out for his common mistakes

Andy out now vs Kohli, 1-1 first set.

scoobs
04-14-2010, 01:45 PM
Now a break behind, Kohli applying some early pressure.

Kohli 3-1*

scoobs
04-14-2010, 01:50 PM
Kohli *4-1 double break now.

Murray at 36% first serves, so he's hardly doing his own cause any good.

scoobs
04-14-2010, 01:56 PM
Kohli 5-1*

Nothing going right at all here

no, murray, no.

scoobs
04-14-2010, 01:59 PM
A hold by goodness.

Kohli *5-2

A bit better serving there.

scoobs
04-14-2010, 02:00 PM
Not sure this tactic of hitting mostly to the Kohli backhand is a sound strategy in this match.

DualMedia
04-14-2010, 02:01 PM
omigosh, how far did he go last year?

04-14-2010, 02:03 PM
SFs, lost to Nadal.

Kohli 6-2 0-0*

Wonderful Djokovic-esque smash there to blow that final point :retard:

DualMedia
04-14-2010, 02:06 PM
He needs to win and make to the SF

scoobs
04-14-2010, 02:12 PM
Kohli 6-2 *0-1

A reasonable hold there. Needs to start making a dent on the Kohlschreiber serve

scoobs
04-14-2010, 02:14 PM
Kohli 6-2 1-1*

No dice there. Held to 15

scoobs
04-14-2010, 02:19 PM

In fairness Kohli is playing an excellent match but Murray :smash:

Hey scoobs, kohli's playin ok, but murray's shockingly awful today.

what happened to his serves?

scoobs
04-14-2010, 02:28 PM
Kohli 6-2 *4-1

First serve % is 34.

No wonder he's been broken 4 times now.

This is a stinker of a performance from Andy - he's playing someone who is playing a very clean match, but he's making mistakes he wouldn't normally make, he's serving atrociously, and seems to be lacking any answers today.

04-14-2010, 02:29 PM

just been speaking to Murray's fitness coach, reading between lines likely Andy will play Barcelona next week
http://twitter.com/nicklester

scoobs
04-16-2010, 10:14 AM
No confirmation from anyone about this possible WC request in Barcelona.

Andy IS en route to Barcelona, from his twitter feed, but he says he is going to Barcelona for training.

I guess we will see when the remaining WCs are announced.

Corey Feldman
04-16-2010, 10:18 AM
to go for a 1st round defeat or not to go, that is the question

scoobs
04-16-2010, 10:20 AM
Well yes, exactly.

Barcelona has never been a happy hunting ground for Andy

Truc
04-16-2010, 12:47 PM
The 22-year-old's lack of matches led to speculation he could choose to play in Barcelona but he will stick to his plan to continue his build-up to the French Open at the Masters events in Rome and Madrid.
Murray trained in Barcelona as a teenager and he will spend a week on the clay courts with coaches Miles Maclagan and Alex Corretja, a two-time French Open runner-up, ahead of the start of the Rome tournament on April 25.
