Gabashvili's year just continues to get even worse, Very poor loss, was a break up in the first set and had chances for the double break before losing it, had a double break in the second only to win it 6-4 and they traded breaks in the final set until Reda El Amrani clinched it on another tie break. Lost count of the unforced errors from Gabashvili, anyway good win for Amrani

I watched this match on livestream. Well, terrific fight by the Moroccan, he seemingly injured his knee in the 3rd set at 4:4 during a dive, when he was trying to reach the ball a few feet behind the baseline.

A few nice and intelligent dropshots by El Amrani :yeah:

Gabash is one of these few jokes on in the top 150, along with C. Rochus, Ram, Ventura, Lorenzi and Phau. Unbelievable these guys are still in the top 150...

I agree with you other than the exception of C.Rochus and maybe Phau, Rochus is a very tallented ball striker and the only reason he struggles is purely based on his size nothing else is preventing him from being top 100 on a steady basis and also Phau is not a bad player at all either, unbelievably quick. The others you mentioned are journey men through for sure along with possibly Phau

Probably the most beautful fix of the year.

The 9th game of the third set was the funniest, El Amrani slipped at the first ball and injured his right knee. Anyway, he recovered after 5 minutes, made some unf errors and at 0-40 began the Gabashvili show: lame return in net on 95 km/h second serve, backhand return in the stands and elementary ball from net out...

Even he was obviously limp and could barely even walk, not to mention running, El Amrani managed to keep the balls in play so that Teimuraz was able to finish his masterpiece: a disgraceful fix in the tiebreak.

at 4:4 0:40 it was 34 on El Amrani. Following the odds it didn't seem to be a fix. IMO this match wasn't fixed. El Amrani was just good in defense and played maybe his greatest match in career. Entertaining match until last point.

This is Gabashvili...he often struggles to hit two successive balls into court. Obviously he should have won, but it isn't a major shock.

Was doing something else at the time, but it didn't seem so. With this scoreline any inplay fix would stand out like a sore thumb.

What an effort by Gaba, poor guy. There's something wrong with him, clearly. Whatever the problem is (with the Russian guys you never know, they are sometimes volatile psychos without any mafia/match fixing's aid) hopefully at one point he'll be able to overcome.
