Good draw for Hernych. I think Mario might lose to Minar in the first round. Klizan should beat Beck on this surface. I think a guy like Veic or Ungur might make the finals here, against Gaba.

Nathaliia
04-24-2010, 05:20 PM
Panfil

Ostrava had Baghdatis last year, has Ancic this year - not bad! I also can see Beck able to lose to Klizan. Ungur - can make the final if his shape still goes upwards (really not many claycourters around :o). I'd like Gaba to take the title, but he's soooo inconsistent... He'd be able to lose to Ancic here.

Filo V.
04-24-2010, 05:28 PM
Yeah, Gaba is ultra inconsistent, actually more bad than good most of the time, but when he's on, he's almost unbeatable at this level. The draw is pretty good for him, so he should get to the final, but I could see him losing to Marrero. I am really 50-50 on if Mario beats Minar, since he's still just coming back. If he's healthy and fit and playing well, he's the favorite in any challenger.

Filo V.
04-24-2010, 05:32 PM
Panfil can win 4 games against Ungur, maybe even 8 if Ungur is struggling. A little surprised a higher ranked challenger journeyman didn't take his WC spot though, this is an event that is pretty open.

Olejniczak def. Savić 7/6 4/6 7/6

How the fuck our Polish player won. I really don't know.li I don't know too such a guy like Savić but now I see he hasn't even a semi-pro mind like Olej. I really want to see some note about this game on Nathia site.

Olejniczak was under control till 7/6 4/4 and BP's for him then I turned off livescore with idea he won match nice and clean.

After about one hour when I went back to the house. I saw score 7/6 4/6 1/3 looking at this from Olejniczak side. Then Olej like an old polish tennis idea @ *2/4 give up game for Savić. Dawid @ 2/5 made break @ 4/5 in the second Savić's attempt to finish this clash, Dawid made another and make tie 5/5 in this game he was broke fast again. In third Savic's attempt to serving for the match Serbian again give it back for Olejniczak not even making one single MP for himself in those three games.

In TB Savic and Olej had few mini breaks in the end Olej was leading *5/3 but he gave mini for Savic which he made 5/5 but again give Olejniczak mini and after a lot of BP's, minis and other stuff Olejniczak won this really awful clash even looking on it only from numbers view it was a comedy from both.

But after all I'm with Dawid in the game with Mektić.

By accident I uploaded pics in small size, later I uploaded them again and changed html codes but they stay small  so you can't watch fantastic faces of Ancic... in my album they look big but on the website or if I try to copy even here on MTF they show up small, what a piece of

What I don't understand is, what is Gaba tanking to do? He clearly didn't give a fuck, but does he think he is going to win matches next week, or the week after, playing the way he has?

With the way Rosol played for most of the first two sets, whoever plays him next should be thanking the draw God's in having him as the opponent. Mario has good chances for the final here.

Ungur the biggest fixer from chellengers,as i told two weeks ago:)

Well, might be. But I must admit that Panfil played very good today. There weren't many UE of Ungur (that's normally a sign of fixing), but Panfil was hitting massive winners all around the court. Strong 1 serve. I didn't see any weapon from Ungur. No winners at all. Was more like WTA girl against solid 250 ATP player.:wavey:
But maybe Ungur is that advanced in fixing that he can hit puppy shots in the forehand to the oppenent, without making oficials susicous. Can judge it from TV. Must see live;)

Just out of curiosity: Do get some challenger players apperance money?

Klizan and Minar are my favs to reach the final, with some unespected Krajinovic or Veic

Ungur is not a fixer, my dear friends; he has some great attitude problem as i stated a week ago.
He was going to lose with Guez (totally out of competition on clay) at 6-1 2-0 and then began to play decent and won in three sets. Then played great tennis vs. Florian Mayer when he had nothing to lose and almost won at 6-4 3-1. Then he became the favourite for that match and lost in three.
He has a weird brain...
Klizan is the one i am curious to watch getting better as he played a good week in Casablanca Atp, giving a tough three setter to Wawrinka (6-4 0-6 6-4).

Sad, JPB had a good chance at a good run here. He gets hurt a lot, hopefully this one isn't serious for him.

With Rosol beating Marrero and Hernych losing (which is why I didn't feel confident thinking he would win this tourney), this tournament is very unpredictable, which isn't surprising. I still believe the winner of AHM-Veic has a chance, as does Minar and if Klizan beats Bautista then he has good chances.

Klizan-Bautista 4-1*
very good shape for Klizan, he rules the rallies, Bautista is suffering from the baseline

I was thinking that would be a potential upset simply because of how the tournament has been going, but Klizan is just dominating Bautista. 6-1 first set for Martin.

Klizan and Minar are big favs for the final
i didn't see Haider Maurer or Dodig playing this week, but i think that they have a lower level of tennis (Dodig on clay, not on hard)

Very very good
I hope that Kian does not distract in the second set

Klizan showed some unintelligible irritation at 6-1 *1-0 and the following games; he smashed his racket and became nervous without a reason
now Klizan-Bautista 6-1 3-5*

FrankSolitario

Klizan plays so much better than Bautista...but they're one set all 6-1 4-6
for those who are not watching the match, Klizan is building by himself his own troubles
for example a terrible double fault to the middle of the net on Bautista's set point...

FrankSolitario
04-29-2010, 01:43 PM
awful attitude by Klizan
he is wandering in the court, nervous and absent-minded 1-6 6-4 *2-0 for Bautista
another player in the crazy chokers club!

I was expecting this to happen, Klizan just for whatever reason started playing poorly. This tournament is so unpredictable.

uff, 2 parts totally differents in this match.

First set absolutely dominated by Fisher having a lot of BPs each game.
Second set Fischer was broken in 3rd game and Veic made an important attitude change. Big fight and eventually Fisher, getting tired to each point, lost all his chances after 2nd set last game.

Veic is always unpredictable.

Rosol must beat to Snobel.
I saw both croatians and IMO Dodig is more consistent and his serve can be decissive, only needs a better % of 1st serves. Today Fischer could break a lot of times, even getting tired had chances.

I'm in the final of Tennis Tipping in singles and doubles after 2 years break from playing this funny game :secret: but I won't have access to the net during the weekend so I must make my mind up in advance for all the picks... Unfortunately I couldn't watch tennis this week  Hopefully next week I'll catch up.

I think so. Dodig is better player but Rosol is local and public can be an important factor.
Both players have similar characteristics and really I don't know who is better returner.
Maybe we see TB and this final must be closed.

I just can't see Rosol beating Dodig. They do have similar attributes, but Dodig to me is just better than Rosol, as you say, and on that alone I think he will win. It almost definitely will come down to first serve percentage and points won off second serve. The one who serves better will win.

Also, we have to look at the semifinal performance. Dodig beat Veic, and Rosol beat Snobel, by the same scoreline. Dodig's win is more impressive. So if you look on form brought into the match, I would venture to say Dodig would win that battle.

Yes, but Rosol had 23 BP against Snobel. That indicates us a one side match.
Besides that, Rosol has won to Minar & Gabash...2 real candicates to win. As weak point his % serving was low yesterday. IMO I'd give favourite condition to Rosol only for being local.

Rosol had match point on Dodig's serve at 6-5*.

At the end, Rosol served well and was dictating the points, and beat Dodig 7-5 4-6 7-6 (4). It wasn't impressive, but they both were fighting hard.
