Too much Hewitt next 7 weeks....

For the next 7 weeks leading up to the FO, Hewitt's scheduled to be playing 6 of the 7 weeks and having missed the past 2 months from another hip surgery, this is NOT a very good idea. He's scheduled to be in: Houston 4/5-11, Monte Carlo 4/12-18, Barcelona 4/19-25, Rome 4/26-5/2, off 5/3-9 (for now, but who knows if he'll also decide to play a tournament this week too), Madrid 5/10-16, and 5/17-23 one of the two tournaments. By the time the FO rolls around he'll have nothing left, just not smart at all on his part.

He's going to lose early. Don't worry. He'd be lucky if he goes 3-6

well hewitt has been out for so long, so he does need the matches to get back some form and rhythm, but yeh i think it is all a bit too much.

Lleyton always needs to play a lot of matches leading into a Slam, even more so after being out of the game for two months. I think it's a good sign he has entered al these tournaments, doubt that he's gonna play all of them ;)

I would be very surprised if he plays Barcalona.

Remember there is DC in that week off as well, I assume he's coming back down, god it's a stupid for DC.

Maybe he's trying to add credibility to his injuries in 05, 06 and 08 when he only played 0, 2 and 1 clay court tournament respectively.

As has already been suggested, it seems that he just wants to build up his match fitness...most probably aimed more at the grass court season and beyond (where he'll fancy his chances of doing better). It is doubtful that he would try to play all of those events, unless of course he loses early in most of them.
