Not a really good field.

In this field, even Richie has a realistic chance.

some nice matchups in round 1.

Golubev Koellerer and PHM Hernandez will surely be the crowd favourite...must see matches hopefully they will be televised

Nieminen has a chance. Has improved during the last month or so. Reached semifinal at Delray Beach and won the Marrakech challenger. No stranger to clay at this time of the season.

Great chance for Kubot here I feel, though I can't go against Stan as the winner.

Let's not forget Puerta won this title the year he made the RG final. Could be more significant than we think. :p

Why so much love for Wawrinka?? Well, I know the field is quite mugtastic, but still I would expect more votes for PHM, Kubot, Rochus and others. :)

If PHM plays as he can, there is only one winner. PHM without dropping a set. :sport:

He'll do well if he gets past 1st round.

I wanna know who voted for PHM beside me...Who could it be? Ome?

Stanislas, do it.

If Nieminen can get through the final round of qualifying (don't know if it's been played yet) he might do well. He's been gaining some form and actually held the ranking of 67 last week (71 on Monday I think) but didn't get the ranking high enough in time for the main draw so had to qualify.

Gasquet's got a clay courter as coach, so maybe this will bode well for him.

Gasquet, Mathieu and Wawrinka are the best players in the draw on paper. None of them has done anything of note lately. Mathieu is probably not ready physically to win the whole tournament. Gasquet is not mentally ready to win. Wawrinka is my choice. He's more consistent than the other two. I don't see anyone else in the draw who jumps out as a potential winner. Nimenen is past his prime, I think.

Yeah but the next two matches were blowouts. 6-1 6-0 and 6-2 6-0. Rusty in the first perhaps? Or a weird matchup for him. Against Marach was the three setter, so an Austrian.

i thought Nemo likes the long matches

Hey, what about Starace? In his best days he could do some damage here. He's already in 2nd round. :)

I'm sure no one from France gonna win it.

But still with Stan that he will stand in the final here, and now I really see a potential from Ni"eminen" to go very far here.

HattonWBA

I believe Gasquet will take this title considering the weak field, just believe he is more likely than Stan to be honest despite his lack of form. However Kubots clay court results over the last 12 months also warrant a realitic chance this week, great player to watch also.
