Rogie is still a winner...

Only lost 270 points here (90 for 4th round minus 360 last year's SF).

Chokovic lost 590 points (10 points for 2nd round minus 600 last year's F).

Murray lost 990 points (10 points for 2nd round minus 1000 last year's title).

Therefore Rogie gained 320 points on Chokovic and 720 points on Murray.

So far Rafa is tied with making the QF, but he can actually be the one who gains some points.

So despite Rogie's horrible 3rd set tiebreak loss to Berdych tonight, he comes out a winner.

Just showing that Rogie has somewhat widened the gap between himself and Chokovic and really widened the gap between himself and Murray. Pointing out to all those who thought Murray would be #1, to get real, it's not happening any time soon.

true about fed, whatever happens, hopefully he passes the 286 weeks record at #1 of sampras. :)

but murray and djokovic- what has happened with these 2 guys? just playing craptastic tennis last 2 tournaments, they both better get their acts together, especially djokovic who has so much to defend in the clay season barring French Open.

rafa is back at #3 next monday and if he can keep gaining points (if he first gets past tsonga in QF), he will really narrow the gap on djokovic.

And the one who has most chances to displace Fed from the top position is... y'know.. Rafa.

He didn't play Wimbledon and lost early at RG, remember?

Here's where it now stands: Rogie has 10765, Chokovic has 7630, Rafa has 6800 (same QF result as last year, mght go up points still if SF, F, or wins, but won't go down any points here), Murray has 5845, and Del Potro loses all his 360 SF points, so Del Potro is now at 5735.

So Rogie, Chokovic, and Del Potro stay the same, but Rafa and Murray flip flop again. For those who thought Chokovic, Murray, or Del Potro would become #1, not happening any time soon, wait until Rogie retires. Rafa's the only one with a shot and due to injuries, ineffectiveness against the top 10, and now being about 3,000-4,000 points behind, looks like Rogie's safe at #1 for 2010.

That's all that matters. :bigclap:

Just a Grand Slam, the Olympic singles gold (although maybe he's counting that doubles medal), and a Davis Cup are the only things missing from the resume. He can still get two of the four this year, and then next year he can concentrate on the DC, and the year after that the Olympic Gold -- if he thinks it is missing.

It almost seems like Rogie's #1 by default sometimes, he is the best, but...

Del Potro and Davydenko keep injuring themselves and skipping the big events because of it, Roddick is a no-clay guy, Murray and Djokovic are both on the huge decline, and Rafa can't win anything to save his life anymore.

Seems like Rogie can stay #1 for a few more years without a problem.

Oh I will remember that. I would have thought that was kinda intelligent disliking, but after seeing she laughed at another dumb poster's post whishing illness to the kids, I changed my opinion to the worst. That must be so stressful to live with that amount of hate inside. I wish I could feel sorry for her.:awww:
