It's no situation being referred to, only a discussion of the way rules and rankings work. The poster failed to recognise that whichever portion of the year a player earns his points in, they are of equal importance when it comes to the end. Only reason I put that in my signiature is because actually I was in the minority in having a correct understanding of that simple fact.

I remember that after Philadelphia's semifinal '93, Rostagno literally shook Woodforde's hand who won 7-5 7-5. I saw it only once, 17 years ago, unfortunately no video on youtube but it's been recorded in my memory as something very weird.

Remember watching this match on croatian TV, Crapdeville was behaving like shit all match long; complaining about every call(of course there were some wrong calls) and argueing wih the line judges, ball kids etc...

This is a umpire handshake but they count too. Backstory is that Pascal Maria did a lot of questionable calls against Robin all through the match. He decided to do some sneaky revenge.

i was at that match! Capdeville was whining about everything. And started to argue with the umpire (i believe at a changeover) then Mario told him to act normal and then Capdeville was trying to hit Mario! The whole crowd was rooting for Mario :D

Federer is the biggest sore loser in tennis. Good thing this petulant child was virtually unplayable for most of his career or we would have had to witness even more dead fish and crying after matches.

Safin fell near the net and called trainer. He had pain on his ankle if i remember well.
Almagro acted like a mug ; he didn't even ask Marat if he was "ok" and continued to play.
But i think it's more because "Mugro" was too young "mentally", not really by "wickedness".

I also miss 90's tennis, but you cannot compare a guy like Agassi -who had such a charism he totally embodied tennis- to nowadays' players who don't have such a personnality.
Andre Agassi had the most chaotic career which suited perfectly his caracter, and that's why he used to be liked so much by the public (of course his tennis was spectacular too, I greatly enjoyed his matches, especially his 1999 victory at the French Open which was so emotionnaly intense!)
