What year was the tard referring to and what players was getting hated on? It's no situation being referred to, only a discussion of the way rules and rankings work. The poster failed to recognise that whichever portion of the year a player earns his points in, they are of equal importance when it comes to the end. Only reason I put that in my signiature is because actually I was in the minority in having a correct understanding of that simple fact. stebs 03-30-2010, 06:17 PM this must not miss here, it's the best end of a match ever. everyone should be obliged to watch it at least 10 times per day :worship: Vfqp8QEsrds Definately the king. :worship::worship: Black Adam 03-30-2010, 06:25 PM Any match that Federer loses to Murray, Del Pony or Joker has an unsporting handshake from the 3 times Stefan Edberg fairplay award winner. Voo de Mar 03-30-2010, 06:25 PM I remember that after Philadelphia's semifinal '93, Rostagno literally shook Woodforde's hand who won 7-5 7-5. I saw it only once, 17 years ago, unfortunately no video on youtube but it's been recorded in my memory as something very weird. "Derrick Rostagno was fined $1,000 for hitting a ball at the umpire after a controversial line call during the U.S. Indoor". osalsyst 03-30-2010, 06:35 PM Taken from TF? Yeah I was gonna say "Snoopin' around the womens' forums I see." For that reason alone, this thread should be closed. DualMedia 03-30-2010, 06:38 PM Taken from TF? Well there was an argument between Söderling and Gonzalez about Fernando complaining to much about the calls. spanish_army 03-30-2010, 09:39 PM Best thread in a long time! Well there was an argument between Söderling and Gonzalez about Fernando complaining to much about the calls. In this match Gonzo should break his racket over Sodo's head. It'd have been funny and totally deserved. Ad Wim 03-30-2010, 09:39 PM Gonzo was completely right about both the bad calls as Robin minding his own business. Jomp1 03-30-2010, 09:41 PM I know Koellerer is a d-bag but was it anything special happening during that match? Hilarious stuff nevertheless. Har-Tru 03-30-2010, 09:41 PM What happened here? Both players having the fair play of a rotten egg. Jimnik 03-30-2010, 09:43 PM Most handshakes on the ATP are amicable. The WTA are much more bitchy about it. Action Jackson 03-30-2010, 09:47 PM I know Koellerer is a d-bag but was it anything special happening during that match? Hilarious stuff nevertheless. Machiavelli 03-31-2010, 11:31 AM i think capdeville argued with the umpire because he wasn't happy with some line calls. then ancic told him to shut up and the fight started. it looked more dramatic as it actually was. Remember watching this match on croatian TV, Crapdeville was behaving like shit all match long; complaining about every call(of course there were some wrong calls) and argueing wih the line judges, ball kids etc... Voo de Mar 03-31-2010, 01:11 PM Didn't Julian Alonso refuse to shake Petr Korda's hand because the Czech was a doper? Certainly Galo Blanco did it at the Australian Open '99. Maybe Alonso did the same a round later  Super Djoker 08-19-2011, 07:20 PM this must not miss here, it's the best end of a match ever. everyone should be obliged to watch it at least 10 times per day :worship: Vfqp8QEsrds What a prat! he,s lucky he did,nt get thumped for that! MaxPower 08-19-2011, 07:38 PM This is a umpire handshake but they count too. Backstory is that Pascal Maria did a lot of questionable calls against Robin all through the match. He decided to do some sneaky revenge. U5p7c8aBe-o Frederick16 08-19-2011, 07:39 PM what was going on with ancic? i was at that match! Capdeville was whining about everything. And started to argue with the umpire (i believe at a changeover) then Mario told him to act normal and then Capdeville was trying to hit Mario! The whole crowd was rooting for Mario :D Agrajag 08-19-2011, 08:00 PM Soderling vs any Spanish player it seems. Not with Ferrer, but definately with Verdasco, Lopez and Nadal. Certinfy 08-19-2011, 09:23 PM It's funny because every time Tomas loses to Roger he gives a nice handshake however Roger doesn't seem to do the same when he loses  Filo V. 08-19-2011, 09:30 PM It was so cold, Roger's face was so funny. Like he felt disgust to touch Berdych's hand. Berdych always gives a strong handshake and looks his opponent in the eye, and Roger went right at the end of the net to make sure he ran off quickly and barely glanced at Tomas  Dextertje 08-19-2011, 09:34 PM Nothing wrong with that handshake, glad not everyone hypocritically **** hugs their opponent after a loss. moon language 08-19-2011, 09:42 PM It was so cold, Roger's face was so funny. Federer was smiling though. Mr. Oracle 08-19-2011, 09:43 PM Nothing wrong with that handshake, glad not everyone hypocritically **** hugs their opponent after a loss. "hypocritically"...You are cynical indeed and know little about honour and sportsmanship. Real men outside of switzerland like to put their stones behind their handshakes. Henry Chinaski 08-19-2011, 10:17 PM All of Djokovic's patented **** Hugs. Caesar1844 08-20-2011, 02:41 AM Slightly OT, it kind of annoys me that the players don't shake hands properly any more. The whole hand clasp thing that's all the rage now is pretty cringeworthy. Mr. Oracle 08-20-2011, 03:23 AM Slightly OT, it kind of annoys me that the players don't shake hands properly any more. The whole hand clasp thing that's all the rage now is pretty cringeworthy. Julio 08-20-2011, 09:32 AM What happened here? Safin fell near the net and called trainer. He had pain on his ankle if i remember well. Almagro acted like a mug ; he didn't even ask Marat if he was "ok" and continued to play. But i think it's more because "Mugro" was too young "mentally", not really by "wickedness". Action Jackson 08-20-2011, 10:43 AM I don't really think there's anything wrong with this one. Odesnik just seemed disappointed. It was poor. Sham Kay 08-20-2011, 10:50 AM I don't really think there's anything wrong with this one. Odesnik just seemed disappointed. The real handshake fail here was with the Umpire. I'm pretty sure Odesnik pulled his hand away at the last minute. If you look closely. Mr. Oracle 08-20-2011, 06:20 PM One of the funniest ones which sticks in my mind is the Davy / Fed match from a few years ago. It was the first time in a long time, if ever, that Davy beat him. Davy it seems was quite pleased with himself and wanted to have a chat with Fed at the net, or was expected some praise, who knows. Well Fed ended up giving him the greased hand walking handshake. Davy, for whatever reason remained at the net for a few seconds and gave an expression of surprise. Either he did this to make Fed look like a Jerk or it was genuine disappointment, I don't know. Does anyone remember which masters event that was. Footage would be hilarious. asmazif 08-20-2011, 06:26 PM One of the funniest ones which sticks in my mind is the Davy / Fed match from a few years ago. Andre Agassi had the most chaotic career which suited perfectly his caracter, and that's why he used to be liked so much by the public (of course his tennis was spectacular too, I greatly enjoyed his matches, especially his 1999 victory at the French Open which was so emotionnaly intense!)
