Gasquet just took da Mic!!

Should of won it in 2.

Served for the 1st Set @ *5-3 gets Broken and then doesnt show up in the Tie-Break, Wins the last 6 Games in the 2nd Set, he has 2 Break Points at 2-1 but didnt convert and then gets Broken straight after.

Once he was one my favourites, but after his losses at Wimbledon 2008 (Murray) and US Open 2008 (Haas) he became more and more pathetic... although Rochus isn't a bad one, watched him live at Halle last year... not easy to play... nevertheless Gasquet has the quality to beat such players... such a shame to waste this huge talent.

 Of course, because he lost a match in a place where a nightmare started for him and where he NEVER has done well. But I don't expect any knowledge from you, you are just capable of bashing!

Rochus is a talent, but he can be easily overpowered. Gasquet should be ashamed of himself :o :spit:

Stab myself with a pen.

He's lost to Rochus before though, so maybe we shouldn't be surprised also considering his crappy form.

Let's not blame it on being in Miami and what happened a year ago. Gasquet's been like a challenger player at best, for a while now.

What is really worrying for Gasquet is that he loses matchs always in the same way this year : tight matchs he should have won. Once more, he won more points that his opponent in this match.

I was told by someone that this happens only once in 20 matches, if this is true, Richard had already his share of such losses for the rest of his career in 2010. ;)

Hit the nail on the head. If he was getting blown out then well it's fitness or strategy or crappy forehand but he is in a postion to win and can't close it out. It takes a lot more than a few more hours a day in the gym or on the practice court to fix that.

I'm still hoping he finds a way to turn his loosing habit into a winning habit cuz I miss his magic on the court.

What BS, he had a good first part of the season before the banWasn't great though...

Just confirms what I wrote before, your only contribution is bashing without knowing. All I know that is worth being noted is he reached the Sydney final, still the field for that tournament was horrible anyway, so like I care.

From sucking badly to not great, sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about. A couple of top 10 wins is good anyway you look at it, if you bother to look at all that is.

Hmm, the fact that Richie is only losing in pretty tight matches might actually be a good thing. He's not getting blown off the court often so might just be a slight mental/confidence issue resulting from the lack of matches. Once he gets a few more matches under his belt and gets a bit more used to the tour again he'll be fine. Just needs a couple wins in a row under his belt then I can see him gaining in confidence and climbing back up the rankings.

Whether he'll get back to how he was is another matter, but i'm sure his fans will settle for a few decent wins for now. I can personally see him getting back into the top 30 or so by the year end.. has the talent, just needs the motivation.

fortunately gasquet has nothing to defend until after the US Open.

Getting back into the top 50 should be his first practical priority.

Does he have a wildcard for Monte Carlo?

Winning 2 points in the tiebreaker against a mug server like Rochus is quite a feat too.

Nah, I don't know what's wrong with him, I hope he gets back to his old level but it's tough to see how.
