Gonzalez had committed for months already, but he wrote to Kühnen last week to apologize and say he will stay in Chile to collect money for the victims of the earthquake:

Can't blame him for that. This is a way of patriotism I like.

Hewitt, Tomic, Ball and Hanley should play against Japan. i guess that Lleyton will be fine just as long as he has his priorities in order, he'll be playing Barcelona in about three weeks time.

as for Pete, he demonstrated his patriotism in fashion when he played the tie against Chinese Taipei three weeks ago, didn't he?

This is the most intresting tournament as use to. We should see if Nalbandian comes here or to Estoril (he won both).

Mayer really seems to have a problem with Kühnen.

shows you that the injury was just a bad excuse for davis cup

well it hurt him that kühnen didn't offer him a wc last year
and its very understandable that it looked like a lack of faith to him

hope kühnen offers a wc to nalbandian at least

would be great if david came here

btw I'm incredibly happy that olek comes to munich and I will probably be able to watch him live here

bit disappointed korolev plays belgrade
