We talk about the longest matches a lot, but since I'm not as well-knowledged as the lot of you, I wondered, what was the longest game ever played?

And just for a bonus, what were there most dueces ever played in a game?

That cicrulating info about Fawcett and Glass from 1975 is boring as hell because it wasn't a normal tournament, not a predecessor of today's ATP tournaments. That info is as worth as saying that the longest known singles tie-break occurred in a match Gallardo def. Giraldo 7-6(20) 6-2 in Campos do Jordao.

Casablanca 1996: Berasategui def. Filippini 6-2 6-3, third game of the 2nd set lasted 28 minutes (20 deuces) - it's at least ATP record.

Good question and amazing answers. Anyone know the longest set (tiebreak set that is)?

I wouldn't be surprised if Nadal and Djokovic break this record some day.
