OMG is this a record ? Was not able to get ball in field with 7 serves, and finally after his 8th serve he made it.

A record?

I remember Benji Becker hitting 4 in a row in a RR match in las vegas.

I know it's not mens but I've seen Safinaman double fault an entire game away.

It's not a record, he's done it before, and I think he actually did it at the Australian Open in his match with Davydenko this year.

He was the ATP leader in double faults last year, the fact that he makes so many should come as a surprise to no one.

May not be a new record, but still pretty damn impressive!

Pretty sure Berrer has done this a few times. GGL did it also, from adv df'ed x3. Awesome stuff.

Verdasco's serve is a mystery, sometimes he puts like 85% first serves in, other times he has double digits in double faults.

The two stats are not mutually exclusive. He usually has 1st serve well into at least 70% and accompanies it with a ridiculous number of DFs occasionally

Verdasco's first serve percentage and second serve percentage are often very close to each other. It's strange that the guy with one of the highest overall first serve percentages has one of the lowest overall second serve percentages.

Verdasco is such a mug, miracle he's become a solid top 15 player.

Coria made 3 or 4 in a row, when he had big problems with his serve

A few years ago I saw Taylor Dent do 6 double faults in a game and win the game.

lol. Such a great top 10 player. And I don't understand why people never bring up the fact that his first serves alot of the times are only travelling at 160-180km/hr hence his high first serve percentage. He tends to try pointlessly vary up the speed of serve even when it's apparent that it's not working at all. The fact that his second serve percentage is so low only proves one thing: he's a coward choker.

Yeah this Verdasco serve puzzles me. Whenever a slam comes around I check the event stats to see who has the fastest serve, and he's usually up there at like 138 mph or whatnot. I watch one of his matches and he barely serves 120....biggest speed range on tour??
