Great to see a US challenger where there is a few Aussies. Go Ball, Guccione, Matosevic, Lindahl, Sirianni and Lemke. This will be Chris Guccione's first tournament back from not playing since the 2009 Us Open. It will be great to see both of the big lefty's back in action in the smae tournament. But know one can go past the form of Nick Lindahl and Marinko Matosevic who have played great all year.

I always think of him as a good challenger player and a guy who qualifies for ATP-events and Master Series. With an ATP-win once in a while. Don't think it will get any better in the near future. And it's okay, he will earn his living this way. And it can get better, he's still pretty young.

good player, not acceptable that his career high is 174 while there are huge mugs like raji & guez ranked a lot better

Great to see Anderson getting the win under the circumstances. Hope he goes onto win the title and breaks into the top 100 because he's had a good year and he's been unlucky to run into good players when he has qualified for ATP events. Doing that six times this year already is impressive.

Yes, but against Matosevic. The Australian but born in Croatia is a decent player on hard courts... or Kendrick, a classic American...

These two players are much better than Soeda. It's a great luck to find this japanese before the final. Easy match-up for a beast serving, Soeda has bad serve and returning is pathetic. He reminds me to DevVarman in a bad version.

If I were Anderson yesterday night would be happy after knowing Kuznetsov lost against this pushballer.

Nathaliia
04-17-2010, 09:40 PM
Kevin needs a good day himself against a pushballer, otherwise he'd end up like Young or Kuznetsov :)

I'm not such a big fan of Soeda, I'm all for Nishikori... hopefully in a few weeks he'll be taking these challengers' crowns one after another.

Serving at medium level is enough against this kind of player.

I'm not such a big fan of Soeda Glad to hear this.

I'm all for Nishikori... hopefully in a few weeks he'll be taking these challengers' crowns one after another.

Yes, Nishikori's more talent. I still remember a match in Open USA where defeated Ferrer in 5 sets. Tough match, Ferru couldn't beat him, but I have doubts about his physical condition.I don't know if he'll able to keep a regular level all year.

not too surprising that he got nervous
