When players reach SF in Challengers or 250 ATP, next week they accede directly to main draw in another 250 or Challenger tournament avoiding the Qs.
But in Masters Series the system is different.

When some players in qually list accede to main draw... alternate players are called by organizers and they must say if will go to quallies or not.

For example, Malisse or Serra are playing now in Casablanca and Houston. They didn't confirm their presence on Saturday and were taken out of the qually draw.
Riba said so and he appears as qually player... now he can't go... organizers must modify the list only a few hours before to close the draw.

It's not a normal situation. Riba will be warned for sure.

If Riba wasn't sure of going to MonteCarlo, he had to give up his place to another player as Malise or Serra did.

Monza is the week before Monte-Carlo.

When there was Sanremo before Monte-Carlo, the people played semi and final in Sanremo, and the qualies in Monte-Carlo.

Even in Rome, when there were the challenge of Parioli or Garden or Eur before Rome.

In Lugano, people played final double ( Maybe I remember Enzo Artoni ) in Sassuolo, than the same day went to play quali in Lugano.
