Yes I know... But I prefered to ask it anyway... As I wanted to know if I would be free or not this weekend. There is no emergency to do it. It can be another weekend.

Let's talk about it soon and make a decision.

No - no one at all :tears: And so far in this Nole match I haven't seen Riccardo either

I saw an interview with Janko yesterday when he said he felt tired and emotionally drained after the Murray match - which I guess is not surprising  So when they put him on the day session today with mimimal time to recover, I knew he'd lose  Credit to Misha though - good luck to him - he needs a boost too.

ellen_
02-25-2010, 03:50 PM
Yeah it's pretty weird they put them on the day session, I would think Sky demanded evening sessions for Murray.

I'd say it's impossible Marcos is there on his own. Maybe they just didn't find them yet because they disguise with hats?

LOL - I know he's not on his own, - but maybe they're just hiding from us  A hat wouldn't be good enough disguise to hide from me after all these years though - perhaps a long, blonde wig, dark glasses and a false nose may do it though? :D

Vamossssssss and big  to the somewhat elusive Team Baghdatis. Still I guess I know I'll have at least one player in the Final.

Nice words from commentators for Marcos' fitness and conditioning - so take a bow Poncho and friends

OK - dinner time - later :wavey:

Now I am sad :hysteric: No Ponchoooo at all for me :bigcry:

I agree, and I think it's really nice that he can take so much time off for the big occasion :D After all, being there for the birth of your firstborn, is somewhat more important than tennis, and I'm pleased for him and happy that Nole is allowing him to do it. Aww poor Ellen  You will always have a good rep in my eyes :)

I don't really care about the outcome of this tournament anymore  Would love Nole to defend his title but I don't really think he can? I mean, he should given that the field has been completely whittled down for him but meh, it's Nole right? Nothing is certain!

I start full time work on Monday. Kinda nervous!

ellen_
02-26-2010, 10:14 AM
Finally someone who sees me like I really am

Well, both Misha and Nole are my boys so I am rather excited about this tournament  Nole can still do it I think, but he needs a good clip around the ears before he steps on court the next times.

Ooh great! How do you start working as a law graduate? Are you like the assistent of a lawyer first?

ellewoods
02-26-2010, 10:21 AM
Haha but of course. You are sweet Ellen with a touch of a naughty side ;)

Nole needs more than a good clip around the ears. It's so painful for me to watch him play like this. It doesnt make sense to me considering how well he finished last year. And the fact that he is now #2. If he wants to be the best in the world, he has to play like the best in the world. I guess on the positive side of things he is at least fighting so he's mentality is still there.

Well, I am not going straight into law as I couldnt find a job in that sector. I'm starting in Tax :tape: so that's why I am more dreading it then looking forward to the challenge. Hopefully now that our economy is not in recession anymore I will be able to switch into another position that I actually want for next year. This year is just to get some experience (and moolah ) Did I read that you were looking for a job too? Or was that someone else?

ellen_
02-26-2010, 10:31 AM
 I guess that's alright.

He has to learn to keep his head up and realise what he's capable of, like he does when he shows the fighting mentality. He forgets it all so easily.

Well yeah, I don't think a lot of people get their dreamjob immediately these days. Experience is needed to work your way up.

Yes I'm looking for a job aswell, my first job too. I'd like to have my own daycare but I'll also have to do interims or jobs I like less first.

ellewoods
02-26-2010, 10:44 AM
Maybe this job isnt as bad as I think? It's a large international company so I am sure the opportunities are boundless. Plus, I still want to move to London for a couple of years and maybe the firm could help transfer me to their London office. That would be so awesome. But we'll see.

How's the job market over your side of the globe? Owning your own business would be fantastic but yes, experience would definitely be needed and not to mention building up a good client base etc?

ellen_
02-26-2010, 11:00 AM
That is interesting indeed, that it's a large international company. They always give more opportunities to work your way up. And if you want to move to London for a while, you definitely should when you are still young and don't have too many obligations yet. Sounds awesome indeed.

In general, it is terrible here at the moment. So many companies are dying. Earlier this week, one of the biggest grocery stores here, announced 2000 to 3000 people would lose their jobs. In my sector though, there is still a shortage of daycares, but the high prices of immovables here makes it harder for self-employed daycares.

Btw, I hope Jelena didn't plan on taking Nole to the shopping mall in Dubai :help: Happened on Tuesday.

Elle - gpod luck with the job - I'm sure it will be fine :D

Miss Ellen  Enjoying the match so far?

ellewoods
02-26-2010, 11:16 AM
Yeh if I was to move to London through the help of the company than my fears of disrupting my career path would probably be unfounded. And I would definitely want to do it soonish otherwise then I would be worrying about getting married/having children/promotions etc etc.

I'm sure things will pick up there soon? The rest of the world is slowly recovering from the GFC. I guess we're a little luckier in Aus as the full impact of it didnt hit us. We were never technically in recession though heaps of people here lost jobs too  I can imagine that your field of work will always be in demand though.

And yes, I heard about that! Eep :tape: Jelena keep Nole away from malls. She should take a non-fashion-challenged friend along so we do not get another flower fiasco of February 2010.

What is wrong with him? :bigcry:

Don't know  But he needs to calm down and focus. He's so unhappy and tense out there these days - he needs to try and relax, and enjoy his tennis again. Marcos will give him loads of chances to get back into the match though - he's that kind of player. Nole just has to believe in himself and focus enough to take them.

He creates a lot of chances for his opponent to stay in the match, but he doesn't give it away. He'll always fight, which can easily get into Nole's mind.

And when I'm writing this, I was staring at the many replays of Novak's dropshot to take the rebreak  :bounce:

And now Pancho throws his shoe on court! :haha: :worship: :hearts:

Marcos is tired now  If he was going to win this match, he needed to do it at a set and a break up  Nole playing much better now though - why the hell he insists on those stupid volleys when he can play from the back of the court like this is almost impossible to understand

Misha looked fitter than these 2 guys even before this match, but it still has to be played  I think Nole will be very focussed on winning now (if he wins this semi), he already got that far by being wobbly so he has not much to lose anymore.

I wanna hug too :D

Because we used to pick that day since years. And the problem with Friday (or Saturday) is we are not able to see us each others every week. As most of the time, at least one of us had something planned on Friday evening. Which is less often the case on Thursday evening :p

I built Woppy's house this week, and while I was screwing one wall to another - a part from the roof I had put against the wall started falling. I wanted to hold it by turning my behind to it - because obviously it was too hard to stop screwing , but I was too late and it hit me full in the side.

I have a bit of a cold and it really hurt last night when I had to cough. So I went to hospital this morning........

And yes - just reading about the Chile thing now - so sad. I think sometimes people who live in our part of the world don't realise how lucky we are. We moan about our snow and cold etc but never really experience anything life threatening connected to our weather patterns. Makes us very lucky.
