Second win this year over Berdych for Roddick. No breaks of serve, what a surprise.

People talk about Nalbandian and Safin as some of the biggest wastes of talent, but Berdych is up there with them. When he's on it's a thing of beauty but his birdbrain is nearly unrivaled.

Nalbandian and Safin were able to keep it together far more often than Berdych, which allowed them to win Slams, TMC/TMS and have solid GS results. Berdych has one TMS title and a pretty horrid GS record so when you think of it, yes Nalbandian and Safin were bigger wastes of talent because they could have achieved even more than they already have.

Berdych was never going to amount to anything anyways, just a flash in the pan player hardly capable of keeping it together between the ears.:o

I turned this one on at 4.30am in the morning... I was watching some stream... Am I going crazy or did I hear some guy shouting 'Come on Lendl' after every point for Berdych, and then someone shouting 'AMERICAN PIE' to Roddick when he won a big point.

Berdshit playing like a mental midget as always in the clutch.

And what about Gasquet???
At least, those 3 guys have won big titles while Gasquet has only won MM titles so far.
The guy beat Federer at 18 blastering him with winners and made 2 MS finals at only 20 and yet he has not even won a MS since then.....

no surprised here, Berdych gutless as ever when he plays a top player

that why him, Baghdatis, Wawrinka, Gasquet never take that big step up and joined Nole, Murray, Del Potro

they can take some big scalps once in a while, but never step it up in the real moments ;)

Berdych has been in the top 30 for almost 5 straight years now, its not like he is a nobody, he has been quite successful.

Safin was never consistant enough to be in the top 30 this long.
