Purple Rainbow 02-12-2010, 07:51 PM Blackadder FTW! Season 4 is the best. Purple Rainbow 02-12-2010, 07:52 PM On a more serious note, I used to like Tour of Duty, but it's been ages since I've last seen it. SloKid 02-12-2010, 11:37 PM I'm a huge fan of Band of Brothers, fantastic series in my opinion. The Pacific premiers next month, March 12th. Produced and lead by the same team as BoB (Hanks, Spielberg etc.) it concentrates on the Pacific theater of war in WWII and judging by the trailers it'll be another epic. It's also the most expensive mini series ever made. Blackadder FTW! Season 4 is the best. Yes, a great satirical view on the Western front slaughter in WWI, a touching ending to it as well. Ivanatis 02-14-2010, 03:48 PM I think the most important series have been named already, don't know anymore either. If you're also looking for films, check Apocalypse Now, Black Hawk Down and some of these: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?genres=war&sort=num_votes&title_type=feature Shirogane 02-14-2010, 05:31 PM How about the other way around. War on TV series. Recently in House MD, a subplot patient would rather amputate his foot than return to the battlefield in Afganistan. And he certainly did in the end. And I fully agree, Band of Brothers and Generation Kill are terrific series. Jimnik 02-17-2010, 03:37 AM M*A*S*H Can't believe no-one's mentioned it.
