improves H2H to 2-4
and first time he defeats Feli in straight sets.

very confident win from Kolya, exellent, though he didn't express any joy at the end of the match... seemed like a routine victory, if you forget their previous history.

next Baghdatis or Blake. 1-2 and 0-7 h2h against those guys. ugh, a bit of a tough draw.

Lopez the best player in the first set. Missed at least 5 gameballs before he got broken at 4all, then missed a break back point. The second set was of course given.

How can anybody be 0-7 against Blake?

that's the way kolya the man rolls through the ATP. Remember when he beat Federer for the first time in like 11 matches last year? He barely made a celebratory gesture.

Kolya the man doesn't need to celebrate because deep down he knows he owns 'em all, even when the h2h aren't in his favour.

Losses on clay as well, turkey in the making.

James Blake used to be a consistent top ten player and got to be number 4 when he was in his prime. The guy even beat the GOAT a couple of years ago.

:yeah:

That H2H with Lalo is one of the more inexplicable ones to me

Feli

but well, he got a tough draw and besides you can't expect him to carry on in good form for more than a week in a year

Kolya has a great chance of taking this thing, best of 3 are definitely his thing :yeah:

Disappointing match. Lopez is shit, I knew that, but Davy wasn't really playing well either.

That's a good question.

0-7 ? I didn't realize. Davy how could you let that happen ?

It's hard to imagine given what a muppet he can be sometimes, but Blake is really focused and deadly efficient when he has a good matchup. Clement and Andreev have similar h2h vs him.

One of them was even on clay.

Exactly...and I think it's how flat Blake hits the ball that makes it tough for him...so it rushes Davydenko. I remember wondering that before and then I watched them play against each other and it definitely is a bad matchup for Davy

Nice work Davy, pretty routine victory, won 6 games in a row from 4-4 in the first set until 4-0 in the 2nd.

Match against Baggy should be awesome!
