DrJules 02-07-2010, 02:03 PM Lopez made the most of having a deam opponent in the file. Bilbo 02-07-2010, 02:07 PM dream draw for lalo including an injured monfils Persimmon 02-07-2010, 02:10 PM Feli! paseo 02-07-2010, 02:10 PM Good result for Lopez. His SF against Monfils was the real final. gaitare 02-07-2010, 02:11 PM Nice resistance from Robert in the first, Lopez needed a bit of luck to break him at last. Good job Lopez, now win Dubai at last  Yves. 02-07-2010, 02:32 PM Good for the game:D scoobs 02-07-2010, 02:34 PM Lopez made the most of having a deam opponent in the file. He did - eventually - he wasted a gazillion break points in the first set before finally snatching that first set, and Robert melted after that. Har-Tru 02-07-2010, 02:36 PM :bounce: gulzhan 02-07-2010, 02:38 PM Good job, Lopez. Semi vs Monfils was the final here. Speed of Light 02-07-2010, 02:55 PM Another mugs match, another mugs atp tournament... Next Sunset of Age 02-07-2010, 02:59 PM Very nice to see LaLo take this title. Congrats, Feliciano. Hope to see him doing well in Rotterdam, too. :) philosophicalarf 02-07-2010, 03:01 PM Got the feeling if that first set went to a tb, Lopez was losing it. Just so tight on the bps, needed a Robert UE to clinch it. Bobby 02-07-2010, 03:08 PM Another mugs match, another mugs atp tournament... Next It's not possible to beat players who are not participating, now is it? So well done Lopez! It's not the tournament's fault that the players don' like to play here. Tournaments like this are great opportunities to collect some "easy" points and money. *Jean* 02-07-2010, 03:25 PM Wow, it was quite unexpected! Well done, Feli! :lick: fran70 02-07-2010, 03:30 PM This is a great victory for Feliciano and congratulations for him to win his 2nd ATP tennis. Afer all he was the best player between 32 that were part of the main draw and beated Monfils too. And congratulations for Stephane Robert as he was able to reach his first ATP final. Some people blame this tournament but I think this is great that there`s an ATP tournament in SouthAfrica. The same that concerns to the ATP tournaments in SouthAmerica or India and South East Asia for instance. Team_Roddick 02-07-2010, 03:39 PM title. good enough for him. Corey Feldman 02-07-2010, 03:47 PM did he crack a smile for the first time in 6 years? Speed of Light 02-07-2010, 03:49 PM It's not possible to beat players who are not participating, now is it? So well done Lopez! It's not the tournament's fault that the players don' like to play here. Tournaments like this are great opportunities to collect some "easy" points and money. Yup, its all the atp fault They should limit the amount of such mickey mouse tournaments in the future to control the mugginess in tennis nowadays. Nidhogg 02-07-2010, 03:58 PM 1/9 on BP conversion rate in the 1st set for Felicity is hilarious, considering how Robert got his first delivery in a whopping 44 % of the time and having such a mighty mammoth second serve. Still, good on him for taking the title. Lopez leads the h2h 5-1 too :-) Shame he didn't have a week off, it'll be pretty hard coming down from 2km altitude. Baby May 02-07-2010, 06:57 PM Good job Feli:)Congrats:) Horatio Caine 02-07-2010, 07:55 PM Dedicated to Deivid, no? :p Good week for Lalo, although it would be good if he could smile (holding the trophy he looks like he is grimacing lol) once in a while...the miserable git. I look forward to seeing a bit of Robert's game hopefully by Wimbledon...really don't know much about him beyond his results. Always nice to see an older player enjoying a small, late stint in the big league, and I wish him well for the season. Hopefully he enjoys himself, and credit to him for making the most of a good opportunity this week. jrm 02-07-2010, 08:01 PM Best looking tennis player with his 2nd ATP titel :yeah: scoobs 02-07-2010, 08:03 PM Dedicated to Deivid, no? :p Good week for Lalo, although it would be good if he could smile (holding the trophy he looks like he is grimacing lol) once in a while...the miserable git. Vida 02-07-2010, 08:24 PM felo :rocker2: Hewitt =Legend 02-07-2010, 11:43 PM Congrats F Lo on ending the 6 year drought. First time watching Robert in action and honestly the guy doesn't have a single strength. His playing style actually reminds me a bit of Tomic, just pushing the ball around and waiting for a mistake, but he does not have the variety that Tomic possesses with the slice backhand or the quick change of pace. Robert's serve is also a huge weakness. He only got around 50% of first serves in and he does not have a big 1st serve. The less said about the 2nd serve the better. This result will probably ensure he stays in the top 100 until this time next year but after that I don't see him playing regularly in the tour events. Still full credit to the guy, he's worked hard and now he's reaping the rewards and can enjoy a full year in the big time! Lopez was never going to lose his serve or the match in these conditions, they really were perfect for him. FlameOn 02-08-2010, 12:49 AM Well done Feli! :worship: gorgo1986 02-08-2010, 01:19 AM Great job Feli, back in the top 32 of the world.
