I think the 2006 RG Final where Federer took the 1st set 6:1 was quite fun. I may be biased tough :-)

Of course the clay bagel for Nadal at Hamburg was also entertaining.

I think it was first set 6-0, Gaudio absolutely clueless.

Tennis is dead until he comesback.

I remembered Coria vs Youzhny I think it was Sttutgart or some clay tournament after Wimbledon.

If I remember correctly 60 60 for Coria, probably 0 UE that day for him.

Ah yes. I guess I have a brain for remembering the good parts of a match more than for the blowout bits. ;)

If you will allow me, I will like to go back further in time:

1997 Davis cup semi between Sampras and Rafter, Rafter won the fisrt set 7-6 in an hour (he did save a lot of breakpoints to get to that position) but then went on to lose the 2nd and 3rd sets 6-1 6-1 in a combined time of 45 minutes and lost the 4th set 6-4. It was a stunning exhibition of return winners and passing shots by Sampras in the 2nd and 3rd sets in particular. I used to have the match on youtube but not anymore but for those who have seen it will know what I mean.

1998 Vienna Agassi v Pioline,

I've only seen it once but I remember Agassi murdered Pioline with a barrage of return winners, it was like Agassi was possessed! and in the zone.

And if I can just change the goalposts for a brief moment because it wasn't a set in the traditional sense but the 1999 Wimbledon final from 3-3 in the first set to 2-1 in the 2nd set when Sampras had Agassi at love 30 but couldn't close out the game; that run of 5 games in a row by Sampras has to be some of the best Tennis ever played by a player and witnessed by millions - after all, Agassi was actually playing extremely well and was confident and then got run over.

And just to move the goalposts once more to talk about women (sorry about this!) But the 2007 Australian Open final when Serena hammered Sharapova 6-1 6-1 has to be the best Tennis Serena has played against a top opponent, I've never seen her play like that before or since.

And an honourable mention for Pete again because like the 1997 Davis Cup semi, Pete lost the 1993 quarterfinal first set 7-6 to Chang and didn't win a single point in the tiebreak, won the 2nd set 7-6 but the 3rd and 4th sets was 6-1 6-1 and at one point won 10 games in a row. I've never ever seen Michael Chang get run so ragged by anyone, it was a barrage of groundstroke winners and return winners and as McEnroe observed in the commentary, it was rare to see a serve and volley player who could play that kind of Tennis from the baseline - McEnroe also mentioned that he learned that first hand in 1990 when he got done by a 19 year old Pete in the US Open semi when he was passed left and right in 2hrs and 30 minutes.

Gonzalez's legendary AO run in 2007 had some insanely dominant sets. Maybe the opening set against Haas in the SF was the best? Haas played at least on his usual level but Gonzo was untouchable. 6-1.
