Andy is by far the world's second best player right now - at least! How long can he hold this spot for and how long will it be until he reaches world #1?

He is not guranteed the 2 spot you tard. He has to win the final. For now he is got the 3rd spot ahead of Nadal.

hey steady there soldier, murray is not quite there yet.

he has to WIN the final to get the no.2 ranking, if not, then he is no.3, he has played very well, i would like to see murray vs federer in the final, good luck to muzza.

He was already world number 2, it doesn't make that much a difference, I guess, being number 1 is what probably matter for him now.

Yep, I hate that

Least he already got there once, it would be a bitch if this was posted, and he'd never got there before, and then never gets there again.

he is too good not to win a slam. That's all I'm gonna say.

That's been said about a bunch of players who then didn't.

Let's see when he can get strong back-to-ack grand slam tournaments together

If Murray wins his 17th slam he is on his way to equaling Federer ;)

Losing(albeit limply) to the eventual champion in q/f and final count as strong to me.

That's unless you're expecting multiple slam titles.If not,for him that's strong.

I think we Murray fans need to start a counter-jinx!

Federer will win so easily that Murray might as well go surfing and not turn up. I hope that does it!;)

Djoker and Murray: co-No. 2s (according to this and the other thread)
