Whose God Mode is the Best?

Davydenko's God mode in the first set was scary good. We all know how Roger and Rafa can be scary in god mode. If these guys could sustain their level for a whole tournament or a season, which one would be no. 1?

Federer. If he plays every match like he did in US Open 2004 final all the other tennis players might as well go on a violent protest to ban the man from tennis.

imo, Federer, then Del Potro, then Murray and Djokovic.

if they play their best, they can dominate with the serve, and be basically unbreakable.

i do not think Nadal and Davydenko are unbreakable even when they play their best.

Federer gets the top spot because of his versatility and his history.

JesusFed by far. He has baked 11 bagels against former number 1's.

Kuerten 1 (on clay)
Hewitt 5
Roddick 2
Nadal 2 (1 on clay to end Nadal's 81 winning streak)
Agassi 1 (in 2003)

You can see Federer's full list of bagels here (http://www.menstennisforums.com/showthread.php?t=154981)

Tough one between prime Sampras, Federer and Safin. Distant fourth is DelPotro (we have yet to see his best though).

Probably Fed, simply b/c he could hit a winner from any place and situation on the court and could always neutralize a big first serve.

I think we saw it in that first set. Is it better than any other offensive player when he is hot?......who knows. Watch Edberg vs Courier US Open final 1991. Entire match is an Edberg Highlight reel. That was in the finals of a major too.

Federer easily among the players listed. All time, the group is in no particular order Laver, Federer, McEnroe, Sampras, Hoad, Nastase, Gonzales, but all great players - Borg, Rosewall, Connors, Agassi, Lendl, Nadal, Becker, Edberg, presumably Tilden, Budge, Perry, Cochet et al as well - have produced some brilliant, utterly dominating displays against good opposition.

in all of history i think Pancho Gonzales, Hoad, Borg, Budge, Nastase, Tilden, and Vines should be considered, and others i know less about.

Laver and Rosewall had too weak a serve, imo. both were short, and i think players were not allowed to leave the ground during the service motion at the time.

Federer, hands down.

Some of the shots he hits, I can't believe my eyes, he's the only player in the world I have to replay a point over and over and over again to see how a shot like that is possible. There's no other player that can play that kind of shot.

The rest on that list just kinda seem like pretenders.

Sampras 1999 wimbledon grass
Nadal 2008 clay
Federer 2004 Hard
