I like Federer's game, but can we get an opponent to trouble him? Looks like another hour of Federer gushing by Mary and John.

Their matches have always been close before. Not now.

Santoro played like total ass in the first set and Roger is just... Roger. Not that big of a surprise really. Santoro can't expect to hold serve if he doesn't get first serves in, considering his serve isn't really a weapon anyway.

They won't show much of that match.

 They are showing the Moya-Rochus match. The way the camera is positioned, it looks like Moya is playing a 2-foot midget.

Santoro did not play bad in the first set. He was outplayed. Simple. Roger was hitting winners upon winners, 19 total to only 3 or so from Santoro. So, it doesn't compare to any ugly tennis where one player makes about 15 or 20 errors and the opponent has no winners and then he/she wins 6-0. The only thing Santoro did not do was serve well. Simple.

I can't focus on any match if they keep switching between courts so frequently.

I dont think timmy can stop him now with is back problems and other shit.... It seems the players that troubled him(Nalbandian, Henman) are all having injury problems. Lucky Federer....

well Roger had his scare on that 3rd set tiebreaker. Never underestimate Fabrice.

Santoro hit 5 unforced errors and 3 winners for the set while Roger hit 18 winners and 5 unforced errors. That was the difference in the set, instead of Santoro playing like ass. That was probably the best set Roger played all year.

And if Santoro's serve isn't a weapon that makes the first serve less vital

Santoro played very well and he did get under Rogi's skin as the match went on but Rogi kept his level high enough to win it. These two special players are always fun to watch and I hope they play each other more. Rogi just came out on fire and I hope he continues to do that. US BS press would be wise to quit this "Rogi can't win in NY" crap because it seems to only motivate him more to prove critics wrong yet again.

What a great match!

If only Santoro was able to lift his 1st serve % in the first set, he mightve been able to get on the board, but Roger was just awesome

Seeing this one almost makes up for not being able to watch the MoyavRochus match

I don't quite understand why when other players bagel someone else than that person was on fire but when it is Roger than that was expected of him and it is no surprise. When Baghdatis took a set of Roger it was Roger who was rusty but when he raises his level than he don't get any acknowledgement but rather the opponent playing like crap.
