Hi Matt :worship: :inlove:

Before I start, let me just say what an honour and a privilege it is to open this thread :awww:

I'll start off with some easy ones before getting down to the real nitty gritty :D

1) You and I both know that you are an awesome guy and fully deserving of this thread. However, due to your inactivity some people may be inclined to disagree. Please explain in detail why you think you are worthy of this thread.

2) Can you please share 5 interesting facts about you?

3) Who are your 5 favourite WTA and ATP players of all time?

4) Ok so we've now established you love Lindsay. If you were offered the chance to spend a day in the company of Lindsay, or a day with Jess and I, which would you choose?

5) What are your 5 favourite movies of all time?

6) What are your 5 favourite songs of all time?

7) What are your top 3 tv shows?

8) If Jack Bauer was a tennis player, would anyone be able to win a point against him?

9) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? (and I don't want a cheesy answer like "London to be close to you" :ras: )

10) Bibberz seems very interested in you. In fact, he seemed strangely keen on this thread being started. Why do you think this is?

11) If I started dating your sister, how would you feel?

12) If you could change 5 things about yourself (appearance, personality, character etc) what would they be?

13) Would you rather Lindsay comes out of retirement and wins Roland Garros or MK to win Wimbledon?

14) Are you eternally grateful to me for recommending Muse? What are your favourite songs?

15) What is your dream profession?

16) Do you still play golf? How is your game?

17) Same question for tennis.

18) Why do you think Americans still haven't embraced "soccer"? Do you think it will ever take off?

19) What are your 3 biggest regrets in life?

20) Acting, singing, dancing, sport, cooking....put them in order of best ---> worst.

Thanks bro :D

Omg yay when I get home from work, I will draft a few questions for dear matt :)

OMG hi hi hi :D

I am so excited to have a spotlight thread, I am prepared to make my splash on MTF in style and win over legions of fans like I have on WTAworld (where I am also known as MH0861, that's OH-EIGHT-SIX-ONE)

Down to business! Keep in mind I had 50 emoticons in this and had to take out MANY

1) You and I both know that you are an awesome guy and fully deserving of this thread. However, due to your inactivity some people may be inclined to disagree. Please explain in detail why you think you are worthy of this thread.

It is time for the wonder that is MHpi (people, if you want to know why this is my nickname, ASK! : D ) takes over MTF! I am full of interesting life experiences, many near death experiences and generally live my life WITH THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON ON IT which provides for endless fun and hijinks :D I feel like I am that awesome independent movie that only 6 people saw illegally but feel it changed their life forever. It's time for the James Cameron of MTF, adee-gee, to turn my little private tales into a MAJOR BLOCKBUSTER (except no blue people pls) : D

2) Can you please share 5 interesting facts about you?
1. I was born on Easter Sunday, which may not seem like a big deal but I'd like to know what holiday YOU people were born on, especially a revolving one : D My 12th birthday was on Easter, and I looked it up online and it won't happen again until I'm in my 80s :(

2. Forget about Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen etc, MY AMERICAN IDOL IS LINDSAY DAVENPORT and I have this uncanny ability (and unintentional ability) to reel off match scores from her matches from about 2004 onwards, from the smallest of tournaments : o I swear I never ever study these or anything, they have just stayed in my mind

3. Going with the above, I happen to have an excellent memory -- I have 3 siblings, did you ever used to play the card game memory? Anyways they wouldn't play with me because I would always win : (

4. I am a survivor! I think if I were to go on a reality show it would be survivor because I survive many near death experiences. Off the top of my head, I have survived: Almost being run over by a bus, almost falling onto subway tracks, almost being run over by a taxi-cab, almost being run over by Alisa Kleyabnova, being in a serious head-on car collision, watching the 2007 Anna Chakvetadze vs. Sveta Kuznetsova SF.

5. I have been working since I was 14 (I'm 24 now) but have only ever had 2 jobs. I would say my loyalty extends past work/employers as well : worship:

3) Who are your 5 favourite WTA and ATP players of all time?

WTA:
1. Lindsay Davenport
2. Mary Pierce
3. Maria Kirilenko
4. Monica Seles
5. Martina Hingis

ATP:
1. Patrick Rafter
2. Pete Sampras (don't hate)
3. Rafa
4. Andy Roddick (I have come around to him lately, especially after the Wimby final)
5. Tommy Haas

I am not nearly as much into following particular players on ATP as opposed to WTA (though I enjoy ATP matches more - I just don't have that personal vested OMG IF MARIA KIRILENKO DOES NOT BREAK SHARAPOVA FOR THE MATCH RIGHT NOW AND STOP CHOKING I AM GOING TO JUMP OUT A WINDOW interest.

4) Ok so we've now established you love Lindsay. If you were offered the chance to spend a day in the company of Lindsay, or a day with Jess and I, which would you choose?

Oh, a day with Jess and Adam for sure : worship: NO CONTEST. At least you two wouldn't go whore it up and have kids and leave me alone like she has : (

5) What are your 5 favourite movies of all time?

As Jess will tell you, I am just not a big movie person. I have missed many "classics" and rather watch a TV show than a movie. In no order, I quite enjoy:
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Fight Club
- American Beauty
- Finding Nemo :hearts:
- Kill Bill (vol 1+2)

6) What are your 5 favourite songs of all time?

I don't think I can order this:

U2 - "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" OMG I couldn't believe this was part of the encore when I saw them in September. An awesome album track on my #1 album of all time, Achtung Baby. I also adore "Stay" and "Angel of Harlem" from U2 - I always think of you as my Angel in Harlem :hearts:

No Doubt - "New": This isn't very well known, I love No Doubt and the obvious choice would be Don't Speak but I just adore this song - love the dark feel to it, the riff and the double chorus. I think it's just a personal choice for me, most people I play it for don't really rate it. WHATEVS.

Sting - "Fields of Gold" - OMG this is just a gorgeous and heartbreaking song

The Cardigans - "Communication" - See above, I am sorry for all my Debbie-Downer choices here but this is such a beautiful song. Most people thought the Cardigans went away after Lovefool but they produced much better music after.

Coldplay - "Strawberry Swing" - OMG I know this is very recent and Coldplay is not a cool band to like but this song is so fun, very Beatles-esque, I played this non-stop when I bought the very good album it comes from. The end of the song gets me every time, very lovey dovey in a non-cheesy way. :awww:

Sixth would be Bruce Springsteen - I'm on Fire and Seventh Mariah Carey featuring ODB - Fantasy (REMIX).

7) What are your top 3 tv shows?

Currently, or of all time? In any event I think they may actually be the same:
1. 24 :worship: It's not a show I particularly have an interest of watching past seasons ever again because it's really an "in the moment" type of show - but OMG 24 has changed my TV life. I am particularly proud of this because I watched the very first episode when it premiered in 2001 so I have been there since the very beginning.

2. Dexter. A new edition to the Matty collection but I've really, really been digging this show. I hope it maintains the momentum and/or stops before it ruins itself.

3. Lost. Loved the first season, almost gave up on it during seasons two and three, but totally back on board again. I can't wait to watch all the seasons back to back once it ends as well.

Honorable mentions: 30 Rock, American Idol, Beverly Hills 90210 (YEAH I SAID IT)

8) If Jack Bauer was a tennis player, would anyone be able to win a point against him?

No one would win a point, but everyone would win because he'd be defaulted in the first point of every match, taking Serena Williams USO OH NINE to a whole new level: GOD DAMNIT THAT SERVE WAS IN I AM GOING TO RIP YOUR GOD DAMN ARM OFF :worship:

9) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? (and I don't want a cheesy answer like "London to be close to you"

I've really been digging the idea of living in Miami lately, thanks to Dexter and also an episode of Top Chef where there was an outdoor dining party. Second choice would probably be Manhattan actually because it's still close enough to my friends/family/current job and life etc. After I visited Montreal I really had the desire to live there too. I think the 8 months of beyond miserable weather is the deciding factor against that though, if I move away it has to be somewhere warm and vibrant.

10) Bibberz seems very interested in you. In fact, he seemed strangely keen on this thread being started. Why do you think this is?

I don't know, I would be interested in me too! Bibberz reminds me of someone who is reading an issue of US Weekly and is looking at the paparazzi photos of my antics and hot looks and wants to join in. JOIN IN BIBBZ, JOIN IN! I think Bibberz just recognizes talent when he sees it :worship:

11) If I started dating your sister, how would you feel?

I would be disturbed that you thought it would be OK to date a 16 year old :rolls: But notwithstanding age, I wouldn't have a problem with it, I think common friends dating siblings can work out just fine. But if you hurt her I'd beat you down worse than Maria Sharapova at 2005 Indian Wells :armed:

12) If you could change 5 things about yourself (appearance, personality, character etc) what would they be?

Umm, I would like to:
1. Be Taller
2. Have more muscle/sculpted body. I want another 6-pack in my life besides the Diet Coke in my kitchen! : D
3. Be less judgmental, I know we all do it but I think I can give people a chance more often and not be so quick to judge people just because they think orange crocs are an acceptable purchase. Also I have heard I have a "look" when I am judging/in disgust of someone : rolls:
4. Be more of a free spirit in more aspects of my life besides the little things in life. I think in many ways I can hold myself back sometimes.
5. Have a bigger shoe size!

13) Would you rather Lindsay comes out of retirement and wins Roland Garros or MK to win Wimbledon?

Definitely Lindsay winning RG (or any slam), too many sad sad losses and close calls in the last few years for that elusive 4th. She is a much better player than a 3-slam winner.

14) Are you eternally grateful to me for recommending Muse? What are your favourite songs?

Well, I knew them and a few of their songs, but yes I didn't really discover them any further until you raved on and on. My favorite songs are:
1. "Map of the Problematique"
2. "Time is Running Out"
3. "Invincible"
4. "Undisclosed Desires"
5. "Knights of Cydonia"

I apologize if those are not very critically acclaimed but WHATEVS.

15) What is your dream profession?

Oh, I'd love to be a really successful chef, no doubt. : D I'd also like to be a Jon Wetheim and get paid big bucks to predict Na Li as an Aussie Open semifinalists : haha :

16) Do you still play golf? How is your game?

I didn't play in 2009 at all I don't think  My game is not very good but OK - however as I always say if you want to know my handicap in golf it's a wheelchair. : D

17) Same question for tennis.

I played a bit through early summer, but annoyingly all the free public courts in my area began requiring paid permits to play :o We don't play enough to buy one, but we'll see about this year. My game is OK, I think I am capable but I'm sure a Jewish Olympics star would make me look like Brie Whitehead  I am definitely very quick around the court and my serve can be pretty good when it's on. Solid backhand, forehand I usually have to pray that it will go in if I go for any type of pace on it :rolls: I am a very broody player too, I get very annoyed with myself and talk to myself etc even if it's a friendly little match with my brother or something, I'm very competitive and don't like to lose. I am also superstitious : D

18) Why do you think Americans still haven't embraced "soccer"? Do you think it will ever take off?

OMG my brother is a MASSIVE football fan (stop speaking American). I should ask him his opinion of Spurs and Snooker and whatnot next time I talk to him : D I don't know, it's weird because football is like the #1 sport kids play growing up in school. Part of me thinks there's just too much competition for general interest out there.

19) What are your 3 biggest regrets in life?

1. I have been horrendous with keeping in touch with friends from long ago. I now find myself with most of my good/best friends as those I went to college with. The problem is, we do not generally live too close. I feel like I could've done a better job keeping in touch/staying close to a lot of people. It's my New Year's Resolution to re-connect with more people from back in the day, and I recommend everyone else try doing this too.

2. UGH I find myself with a stalker and it's all because of a very very poor choice at a bar and got super drunk and did naughty things with a girl  I don't even like chicas but when I'm drunk I will get friendly with anything :haha: Anyway I should really just own up but it provides for very amusing stories :)

3. I've been blessed with a very good job, a well-paying job and one that I am good at - but I am bored to tears there and very disconnected and disinterested in what I'm doing. I do regret going the business/accounting route (I actually realized this a year before graduation but it was too late). Apart from cooking (which honestly feels more like a feel-good fantasy and not a real option and I feel like I may not end up enjoying it anyway) I don't know what I'd do otherwise though.

20) Acting, singing, dancing, sport, cooking....put them in order of best ---> worst.
1. Cooking
2. Sport
3. Dancing
4. Acting
5. Singing

Although to be fair I don't know if I have ever tried acting : rolls:

What was the job you got when you were 14?

Montreal doesn't have 8 months of bad weather. :(

Melanie!! :D :hearts:

I worked at a library, which is ironic because I don't love books :rolls: I worked there from when I was 14-18 straight through, then worked seasonally on school breaks (winter and entire summers) until I was 22 and started my current job after graduation in July 2007 as an accountant ;) I did some shelving of books and stuff early on but it was quite dynamic, always lot of projects and programs and things to do. I did a lot of check-out stuff and exclusively did that by the time I turned 18. I had a great experience in the library, I was technically under-qualified for my current job experience-wise but I really gained a lot of good experience and built tons of skills there which helped me land it anyway. My boss still jokes about the interview question about handling difficult situations and I told him about the crazy people who used to argue with me over a 5 cent fine :rolls:

I :hearts: Montreal, are you from there? We stayed in Old Montreal, I felt really connected to the city.

ATP:
1. Patrick Rafter
2. Pete Sampras (don't hate)

1 and 2, huh? Interesting.

Oh, a day with Jess and Adam for sure : worship: NO CONTEST. At least you two wouldn't go whore it up and have kids and leave me alone like she has : ( 99.3% of MTFers will lead their gray little lives without saying anything this awesome. :worship:

However, I wouldn't count on Pumpkin and Jess not making babies, leaving you to twist in the wind. :tears:

I wanted Pumpkin to make this thread because his thread is boring (sorry, kid) and Jess's thread is dead (again, sorry). Also, I might start asking you some questions. :D

1. Be Taller
You'd be less interesting if you were taller. You're supposed to be small and spritelike/Puckish.

3. Be less judgmental, I know we all do it but I think I can give people a chance more often and not be so quick to judge people just because they think orange crocs are an acceptable purchase. Also I have heard I have a "look" when I am judging/in disgust of someone : rolls:
I'm not sure about having a "look,' but judging people is very, very awesome. People who are not judgmental are usually unfunny and they almost always have terribly boring friends.

What's the biggest fine you ever made someone pay?

I :hearts: Montreal, are you from there? We stayed in Old Montreal, I felt really connected to the city. No, I'm from the next province over, Ontario (where Toronto and Niagara Falls are). I haven't been to Montreal for a couple of years actually but I like it there too.

I hate to bring this up, but she *is* almost 17. And is that, or is it not, the age of consent in New York.

:bolt:

The moral here is: keep Katie away from Adam :rolls:

1) Okay, the Trinity is on a mission to save the world. And we are flying over the Himalayas, but opposition forces are shooting at our plane  There are only 2 parachutes in the plane :speakles: and you are in charge of deciding who gets them. What do you do? And explain your decision making process.

2) What country do you want to do next, and when do you want to go? I want to go out to eat :) You pick the country. I believe I made the last our our decisions which was to go to the Flying Puck. :D

3) If you could spend a day, doing absolutely ANYTHING you wanted for an entire 24 hours, what would you do? :D

4) When are you going to start watching Entourage?

5) What are you getting Katie for her birthday? Is she still reading Nicholas Sparks crap? I'm telling you, get her the True Blood book box set :)

6) Are you going to try again to find sunglasses this year? :rolls:

7) Did you ever finish reading Revolutionary Road? Can we restart our book club? :D

8) Why don't you like white food? If you were offered $1000 to eat ONLY white food for a day, would you do it? :)

You like To Kill A Mockingbird, though, right?

I worked with some very strange people, but there was always that one cool librarian (people left and came in my days) - make sure you are the cool one :D

Love To Kill a Mockingbird, haven't read it in ages though, I should give it a go this summer (which seems to be the only time I've made time to read lately).

People actually argued with you over 5 cents? I have a great picture in my mind of you at the interview speaking in ALL CAPS about it.

YES. And OMG it was always the really wealthy people who would complain. It was very interesting, because the people who were obviously poor (I'm not judging, it was just clear who was rich and who was poor) would pay off any fines, even if huge, without question. I had a really interesting experience in a lot of ways there.

What's the biggest fine you ever made someone pay?

I don't remember a specific amount, but I'm positive I collected a fine over $100 once :o

I would let the person who only packed 2 parachutes go kaboom with the plane :rolls: I mean honestly, whichever one of us did that deserves to go

2) What country do you want to do next, and when do you want to go? I want to go out to eat :) You pick the country. I believe I made the last our our decisions which was to go to the Flying Puck.

Hmm, I am feeling something Asian-esque. Let us do South Korean :D I am not sure when yet, it depends on this oral surgery

OMG Puck :hearts: I really liked it there! I still cannot believe you got drunk off like 2 sips all night :rolls:

3) If you could spend a day, doing absolutely ANYTHING you wanted for an entire 24 hours, what would you do?

This is really hard! It depends on the season I guess though, but an ideal day: Wake up around 9:30am, have a yummy breakfast in bed, go to the beach with friends, swim/tan, play volleyball on the beach :D Have yummy tropical drinks and lunch at like a beach bar, leave beach, shower, play tennis :D Then go out for a fancy dinner and drinks after and party at night :D I feel like this is why Miami would be a good fit for me... I am deffo a beach person.

4) When are you going to start watching Entourage?

OMG I have so much TV to catch up on. I am finishing Chuck. I have Mad Men Season 1 waiting as well, so Entourage continues to have tough competition  I would say end of this month!

5) What are you getting Katie for her birthday? Is she still reading Nicholas Sparks crap? I'm telling you, get her the True Blood book box set

My brothers and I chipped in to get her a new camera :D She is definitely still in her Nicholas Sparks phase :rolls:

6) Are you going to try again to find sunglasses this year? :rolls:

OMG what a process, I really want some!!

7) Did you ever finish reading Revolutionary Road? Can we restart our book club?

No I didn't, I can pick it up again though :rolls: I have a trashy book from Katie to read as well, I Hope they serve Beer in Hell, it sounds like the Melrose Place of the literary world

8) Why don't you like white food? If you were offered $1000 to eat ONLY white food for a day, would you do it?

OMG it is like a crazy coincidence. I feel like I could do this though. I could have like... plain yogurt for breakfast. Some type of white fish and white rice for lunch, and scallops or something for dinner :D OMG and like... coconut cake for dessert :D Perfect!

If they always charge us for Stella as a domestic, we should always go there :D

My brothers and I chipped in to get her a new camera :D She is definitely still in her Nicholas Sparks phase :rolls:

Who is the pilot that got us shot down? That person would have to go :D

If you are *really* going to make me answer this, I would choose Adam to go down with the plane  Not because I like you better than him, but because I often push you in the firing line of oncoming traffic so it's his turn to save me. :D Besides, I'm positive he would pull a MacGyver and find a way out of it :worship:

Are we going to do Korean BBQ? :D That still totally intrigues me.

Yes! Let's!

Okay, I will tell you, it was the champagne :rolls: champagne KILLS me. Also, you made me chug. :rolls: That killed me too. I was not drunk until I drank my beer and chugged 3/4 of yours so quickly and then drank my champagne AND yours  If you didn't convince me to drink all YOUR drinks, I would have not gone out of control :rolls: I liked Puck too :D It's so conveniently near Penn Station too :hearts: Plus I love that they charged us incorrectly. If they always charge us for Stella as a domestic, we should always go there :D

I still can't believe they sold champagne there :rolls: Still, I think you need a better tolerance! Let us build it up. Yes! :D Puck is on the list of spots that warrant a return visit, I am soooo over Social ;) I hope we never get "over" Brazil :awww:

My mom bought the book that is that new movie... Dear John or whatever? It made me think of Katie

That was the book that got Katie into her Sparks craze, she had to read it for school apparently. I am part disgusted and part bemused that a Nicholas Sparks book would be part of any curriculum :rolls: She *screams* every time the commercial for the movie comes on

I'm not hating. I just said it was interesting that you ranked them 1 and 2 since, you know, they didn't particularly like each other.

I really, really liked Rafter, Sampras is my #2 but I didn't live for him, you know?

This is your spotlight thread. :p But I guess you don't mind making it chat threadish...

All-time?

1. Rafa
2. Sammy
3. Taylor Dent (very, very, very close to Sammy)
4. Pete
5. Boom Boom

This does not make it chat threadish, I was just curious, we love everybody here :D I really like Dent now. I didn't really love him before he retired, but that USO match he played last year was just awesome and I LOVED his reaction after. Now ask some questions :armed:

Did you stay home from work? :D

Good answer :worship:
:haha:
I am not nearly as much into following particular players on ATP as opposed to WTA (though I enjoy ATP matches more - I just don't have that personal vested OMG IF MARIA KIRILENKO DOES NOT BREAK SHARAPOVA FOR THE MATCH RIGHT NOW AND STOP CHOKING I AM GOING TO JUMP OUT A WINDOW interest.
:rolls:
Oh, a day with Jess and Adam for sure : worship: NO CONTEST. At least you two wouldn't go whore it up and have kids and leave me alone like she has : (
:spit:
As Jess will tell you, I am just not a big movie person. I have missed many "classics" and rather watch a TV show than a movie. In no order, I quite enjoy:
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Fight Club
- American Beauty
- Finding Nemo
- Kill Bill (vol 1+2)
OMG you seriously need to watch more movies :o
U2 - "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)" OMG I couldn't believe this was part of the encore when I saw them in September. An awesome album track on my #1 album of all time, Achtung Baby. I also adore "Stay" and "Angel of Harlem" from U2 - I always think of you as my Angel in Harlem : hearts:

No Doubt - "New": This isn't very well known, I love No Doubt and the obvious choice would be Don't Speak but I just adore this song - love the dark feel to it, the riff and the double chorus. I think it's just a personal choice for me, most people I play it for don't really rate it. WHATEVS.

Sting - "Fields of Gold" - OMG this is just a gorgeous and heartbreaking song : sad:

The Cardigans - "Communication" - See above, I am sorry for all my Debbie-Downer choices here but this is such a beautiful song. Most people thought the Cardigans went away after Lovefool but they produced much better music after.

Coldplay - "Strawberry Swing" - OMG I know this is very recent and Coldplay is not a cool band to like but this song is so fun, very Beatles-esque, I played this non-stop when I bought the very good album it comes from. The end of the song gets me every time, very lovey dovey in a non-cheesy way. : awww:

Sixth would be Bruce Springsteen - I'm on Fire and Seventh Mariah Carey featuring ODB - Fantasy (REMIX).
OMG and listen to more/better music :p
1. 24 : worship: It's not a show I particularly have an interest of watching past seasons ever again because it's really an "in the moment" type of show - but OMG 24 has changed my TV life. I am particularly proud of this because I watched the very first episode when it premiered in 2001 so I have been there since the very beginning.
:worship:

I actually only watched the first season on DVD, I romped my way through it in 2 and a half days :sport: From then on, I've watched every episode on tv.
3. Lost. Loved the first season, almost gave up on it during seasons two and three, but totally back on board again. I can't wait to watch all the seasons back to back once it ends as well.
Oh dear. Dexter I'm gonna give a go, but Lost will never regain my support.
No one would win a point, but everyone would win because he'd be defaulted in the first point of every match, taking Serena Williams USO OH NINE to a whole new level: GOD DAMNIT THAT SERVE WAS IN I AM GOING TO RIP YOUR GOD DAMN ARM OFF : worship:
YOU SON OF A BITCH! :inlove:
I don't know, I would be interested in me too! Bibberz reminds me of someone who is reading an issue of US Weekly and is looking at the paparazzi photos of my antics and hot looks and wants to join in. JOIN IN BIBBZ, JOIN IN! I think Bibberz just recognizes talent when he sees it
Just watch out for him, he seems to lose his interest quite quickly :(
I would be disturbed that you thought it would be OK to date a 16 year old But notwithstanding age, I wouldn't have a problem with it, I think common friends dating siblings can work out just fine. But if you hurt her I'd beat you down worse than Maria Sharapova at 2005 Indian Wells : armed:
:rolls: I meant in theory, I don't think I've ever seen a picture of young Katie
1. Be Taller
You're not so small!
3. Be less judgmental, I know we all do it but I think I can give people a chance more often and not be so quick to judge people just because they think orange crocs are an acceptable purchase. Also I have heard I have a "look" when I am judging/in disgust of someone
Definitely Lindsay winning RG (or any slam), too many sad sad losses and close calls in the last few years for that elusive 4th. She is a much better player than a 3-slam winner.
Poor Kiri :tears:
Well, I knew them and a few of their songs, but yes I didn't really discover them any further until you raved on and on. My favorite songs are:
1. "Map of the Problematique"
2. "Time is Running Out"
3. "Invincible"
4. "Undisclosed Desires"
5. "Knights of Cydonia"

I apologize if those are not very critically acclaimed but WHATEVS.
Interesting choices, I like them. MOTP is awesome, probably wouldn't be on many people's lists though. I love all your selections except Undisclosed Desires, it wouldn't be in my top 20.
I played a bit through early summer, but annoyingly all the free public courts in my area began requiring paid permits to play : o We don't play enough to buy one, but we'll see about this year. My game is OK, I think I am capable but I'm sure a Jewish Olympics star would make me look like Brie Whitehead : sad: I am definitely very quick around the court and my serve can be pretty good when it's on.
How much is the permit?

Can you please find a court that we can play at if I come to New York? :D
And with me!

(although I accept some of the blame for our lack of contact :smash: )
2. UGH I find myself with a stalker and it's all because of a very very poor choice at a bar and got super drunk and did naughty things with a girl : lol: I don't even like chicas but when I'm drunk I will get friendly with anything : haha: Anyway I should really just own up but it provides for very amusing stories : )
Can I have some more details on this story

Glad you approve, I quite like Undisclosed Desires, I like the 'mechanical' feel to it and the chorus is good. It instantly stood out to me on the new album.

You said you'd like to be a chef. Is this something you'd actually consider or is it more a dream job?

How many states have you visited?

How many states have you driven in?

What was the best thing about today?

Which of your siblings are you closest to?

What's the worst thing you ever did to one of your siblings or that they did to you?

YAY questions :worship:

You said you'd like to be a chef. Is this something you'd actually consider or is it more a dream job?

This is what my main problem is. I think at the end of the day it's just a dream job/fantasy  I don't think it's particularly feasible or something I'd ever do all things considered  I guess I'd only do it if like... I was out of a job and totally lost and needed to start over for some reason, you know? Otherwise I think don't think I'd go back to school/get trained etc just to start a career from scratch. But I do love cooking/watching cooking shows etc, I find it very interesting.

How many states have you visited?

Let's see... New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Illinois (only for a lay-over), Missouri (only for a lay-over), Florida, Arizona, Nevada. So 11.

How many states have you driven in?
3 - New York, New Jersey, Connecticut.

What was the best thing about today?

Getting *some* relief from the dentist for my issues going on. I'm feeling better. I also did not go to work so that was a plus :D

Which of your siblings are you closest to?

Definitely my younger sister. My two older brothers are only a year and a half apart, I'm 4-5 years younger than them, and my sister is 7 years younger than me - we have quite a spread :rolls: I think based on age though we just naturally grew closer in pairs - my brothers, and then me and my sister. It also helped that they were away in college when she was really growing up and we kinda just had each other, you know? We also have by far the most common interests. I will say though that my whole family is really close.

What's the worst thing you ever did to one of your siblings or that they did to you?

I really feel like I have been quite drama free so anything I say will probably be petty  There's some major stuff that happened between my brothers that just makes my stuff pale in comparison! When my sister was very young I told her we had another sister who was sucked in by the bathtub drain and we never saw her again, so if my sister took a bath she would only hit the drain switch after she got out and would start screaming if it happened before :rolls: I think it was quite traumatic  This one definitely lasted a while, lol.

Why did your parents name you Matthew?

I asked them once for a school project, hoping for some juicy story, but it was more so just something that fit and seemed right to them and came naturally :D My middle name is my maternal grandmother's maiden name, though.

If you could have chosen your first name, would Matthew be in consideration? What other names would be?

I think so, I quite like my name. My confirmation name that I chose is Patrick which I also like.

PEOPLE ASK ME MORE QUESTIONS

There was this 13yo MTFer who got someone to start a spotlight thread for him about a year ago. After every response he’d say, "ASK ME MORE QUESTIONS!!!!" It was ridiculous. Please don't turn into him.

Moving on....

1. You hate white people food too? :D WTF is with pot roast? Pork chops? Mashed potatoes? :retard: What are three of your least favorite white people dishes?

2. Please watch these two clips:

1OlCVNn9ZeY

I hate that the sound is referred to as “DOINK DOINK,” but I’ll roll with it.

aTVSTnYIxEA

(a) What do you think of that Youtuber describing the sound as "DOINK DOINK"? How would you describe that sound?

(b) For the rest of your life you will have to either (1) listen to “DOINK DOINK” 40 times each day OR (2) hear the intro music (all 30+ seconds of it) every single time you walk through any kind of door. The “DOINK DOINKs” are guaranteed to come at the most WTF times. For example:

Matty’s Boss: Did you finish that report? *DOINK DOINK*
Matty’s cousin: I fell down and skinned my knee. :sobbing: *DOINK DOINK*
Starbucks employee: I’m sorry, I added whipped cream without asking whether you wanted it. *DOINK DOINK*

The intro music will not be so loud that it prevents you from hearing others, but the *DOINK DOINK* is sort of loud.

Which do you choose? Why?

3. What exactly do you do for a living? You may have touched on this earlier, but I don't recall. Please describe an average day at work. What might you be doing at 9am? 12pm? 3pm?

4. What are your parents’ professions?

5. Why you were all no-I-don’t-deserve-a-spotlight-thread-:awww: and then suddenly all OMG-yes!? What changed? I’m guessing you wanted one all along. Am I right?

6. You have the choice of increasing your height by a minimum of five inches and a maximum of twelve inches. Would you do this? How many inches would you add your height? How would you explain your sudden increase in height to everyone?

7. I was in a hospital waiting room about a week ago, and I got kind of bored. The guy next to me was wearing a Boston Celtics t-shirt, and I considered striking up a conversation with him about the NBA. I decided against it because I used my mentalist abilities to determine that he was neither an NBA fan nor a Boston Celtics fan. You see, the guy was in his early forties and he probably weighed about…450 lbs.—give or take 50 lbs. I figured he was only wearing the Celtics t-shirt because it fit. (I’m guessing it was either XXXL or XXXXL. It’s hard to say because the t-shirt was old and stretchy.)

(a) What do you think of my reasoning? :sport:

(b) Please describe a situation where you thought about striking up a conversation with a total stranger but then you noticed something about him/her that made you decide against talking to them.

8. Are you following the NFL playoffs? If so, who do you want to see advance to the Super Bowl? Why?

9. Please rank the following sports starting with the most fun to watch/follow: basketball, football, baseball, soccer, ATP, WTA, hockey, golf, boxing, and MMA. Also, please give your favorite team/player for each non-tennis sport.

10. Please rank the following sports starting with the most fun to play: basketball, football, baseball, soccer, tennis, hockey, golf, boxing, bowling, pool, and darts.

11. Please rank the following sports starting with the one at which you most excel: basketball, football, baseball, soccer, tennis, hockey, golf, boxing, bowling, pool, and darts.

12. How did you react when you first watched Rogelina cry throughout the trophy presentation of the 2009 AO Final? :awww:

13. How do you think Rogelina would react if he once again choked against Rafa in the fifth set of this AO’s final? Suppose the match had the same exact score as last year’s match.

14. Rank the five boroughs from best to worst. Please give reasons for your rankings.

15. Why do you think I found it hilarious to hear about the Trinity’s “sad goodbye”?

16. Would you care if no one who has not already posted in this thread asked you spotlight questions but you were still asked a lot of questions?

17. Would you still bother with MTF if Jess got banned or just decided not to post?

18. On a scale of 1-10, how funny is the clip below?

B4en4qIKr_4

19. Suppose you had to medal in a winter Olympic sport by the age of 36 or else some terrible ‘accident’ would befall your family or whatever. You would be given an annual stipend of $250k up until your 37th birthday. Which event would you primarily target? Which other events might you consider?

20. Suppose instead that you had to medal in a summer Olympic sport by the age of 38. You would be given an annual stipend of $250k up until your 39th birthday. Which event would you primarily target? Which other events might you consider?

21. I was on a treadmill at my gym when this girl (maybe mid-20s) got on the one right in front of me. She wore these tight sweatpants that filled me with lascivious thoughts. Anyway, the sweatpants were completely blue except for the white lettering right on the ass that said “TEAM PINK.”

Suppose my gym has a suggestion box and that they have a policy of replying to all suggestions by email. Do you think the gym would email me if I ‘suggested’ that the gym ban all “TEAM PINK” clothing that do not feature any pink? Please write a response to this suggestion.

22. Let’s say I came to NYC during late August to attend the USO and visit a friend from college. You, Jess, and I make plans to meet up at the USO and take in a match or two. I’m going to now give you a series of hypothetical texts. Please tell me (1) how each text would make you feel; (2) how you would respond (e.g. phone call/text/ignore); and (3) exactly what you would say if you chose to respond.

(a) Two hours before we’re supposed to meet I send you the following text: I’ve decided to go to the Met with my friend instead of the USO.

(b) Two hours before: OMG I’ve decided to go to the Met with my friend instead of the USO. My old anthropology professor is giving a special lecture and he’s invited us to attend. Byesies!!!

(c) Two hours before: I think I’d rather go to the Met instead of the USO. Sorry, I know this is a shitty move. Do you guys want to meet up for dinner somewhere? My treat. I’ll meet you anywhere.

(d) Two hours before: I’ve just been mugged. I have no money and no way to get to the USO, but I do really want to go. L

(e) Two hours before: Im 2 hngover to do anythng. Cant go 2 USO cuz I fell awfull. Soz.

(f) Two hours before: This is Bibberz’s friend. He wanted me to text you to say that he can’t make the USO because he got in a serious bar fight last night and he’s in the hospital. He says he’s really, really sorry.

(g) Five minutes before: I’m at the USO right now, but I’m nervous about meeting you two. :awww:

(h) Five minutes before: I’m at the USO right now, but I’m nervous about meeting you two. :awww: I’m sorry, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

(i) Suppose I sent the same text as above except that (based on our previous conversations/texts) you knew roughly where I was sitting, what I would be wearing, and what I look like. What would you do?

(j) Five minutes before: I’ve been detained by USO security for groping Maria Kirilenko’s left bosom.

(k) Five minutes before: I’ve been detained by USO security for groping Kleybanova’s left bosom.

(l) Five minutes before: I’ve been detained by USO security for groping Lindsay Davenport’s left bosom. (Let’s say LD was there as a spectator.)

There was this 13yo MTFer who got someone to start a spotlight thread for him about a year ago. After every response he’d say, "ASK ME MORE QUESTIONS!!!!" It was ridiculous. Please don't turn into him.

Sorry, it was just getting too quiet and I knew I'd BIBB UP if I pleaded :D

Moving on....

1. You hate white people food too? :D WTF is with pot roast? Pork chops? Mashed potatoes? What are three of your least favorite white people dishes?

:rolls: As Jess explained, it's white food, but least favorite white people food...

1. I do indeed hate Pot Roast
2. I hate any kind of Stew, blurgh. Friends in college used to make this for dinner and I tried to be polite but I almost threw up :rolls:
3. I don't like lobster! (although this may be "rich people food" and not necessarily "white people food"

I don't think "DOINK DOINK" is accurate at all. It is much more of a "DUN DUN" to me :D

Why?

Definitely *DOINK DOINK*. It's perfect for such life moments as:

Matt: OMG Jess, did you hear Adam and Gretchen eloped yesterday?
*DOINK DOINK*
Jess:

I feel like it fits my OMG/BOMBSHELL type personality much more. The other one would be fine if I worked for like, the tech support department of Best Buy. And I don't :D

3. What exactly do you do for a living? You may have touched on this earlier, but I don't recall. Please describe an average day at work. What might you be doing at 9am? 12pm? 3pm?

I work for an accounting firm, doing internal audits. I'm a senior auditor so I have a bunch of auditors working underneath me who report to me, and I review their work.

A typical day at work is usually spent answering questions from said auditors, spending anywhere between 1-4 hours reviewing one of their audits, finding 10,000 things wrong with said audit and kicking it back to them to get their effing act together :D All in a caring nuturing voice of course :D

At 9am I am usually drinking iced coffee
At 12pm I am usually eating lunch with non-white food
At 3pm I am usually staring at the clock wanting to go home :D

[FONT=Verdana]4.What are your parents’ professions?

My mom is a K-8 Catholic School Principal, my dad is a CFO of an Art Gallery. We do not have any art or anything in our house :rolls:

5. Why you were all no-I-don’t-deserve-a-spotlight-thread-:awww: and then suddenly all OMG-yes!? What changed? I’m guessing you wanted one all along. Am I right?

I thought that Adam and Jess should stop being selfish and learn to share me. Plus, I could tell you wanted to get to know me better! I just stopped caring if only 2 people would post in the thread and said OK

6. You have the choice of increasing your height by a minimum of five inches and a maximum of twelve inches. Would you do this? How many inches would you add your height? How would you explain your sudden increase in height to everyone?

Yes, I would add the 5 or so inches to get me to 6 feet. I would just explain to them that I:
a) DO WHAT I WANT and
b) Growth spurts are real life and
c) OMG if you think this is bad did you see Heidi Montag lately?

:D

:sport:

I don't know, I find people who are fans of Boston anything are generally slobbish, so he may have been the real deal! Do people really wear shirts for teams they don't like? Maybe he thought a Celtic was a new brand of eclairs? :( I really don't think your reasoning was correct, there are lots of shirts for people of all body types in this day and age.

(b) Please describe a situation where you thought about striking up a conversation with a total stranger but then you noticed something about him/her that made you decide against talking to them.

I generally veer far far away from strangers  I was walking to my Dentist's office yesterday and there was an old man who couldn't get out of the passenger seat of his car. His elderly wife was standing outside of the car trying to get him out :o I felt compelled to offer to help but instead my mind started wandering about how I don't ever want to end up like that so I kept going to avoid the situation and thought all together.

8. Are you following the NFL playoffs? If so, who do you want to see advance to the Super Bowl? Why?

I am, the Jets! I'm from New York and there's nothing like having pride in a team that represents but does not play in your state! I like the Giants more though but the Jets are a convenient option right now. And it's not like a Yankees/Mets situation, it's actually OK to root for the Jets.

12. How did you react when you first watched Rogelina cry throughout the trophy presentation of the 2009 AO Final? :awww:

I'm not a Roger hater but OMG I was so embarrassed for him, like OMG. Get a grip.

13. How do you think Rogelina would react if he once again choked against Rafa in the fifth set of this AO’s final? Suppose the match had the same exact score as last year’s match.

Don't think he would cry this time. I get the sense he doesn't care nearly as much about tennis anymore - winning the AO doesn't mean nearly as much anymore right now I don't think.

14. Rank the five boroughs from best to worst. Please give reasons for your rankings.

1. Manhattan. It has the most to do!
2. Bronx. It appeals to the Black man hiding inside me. I'm sure I almost died here a few times. It has an EDGE. Plus Yankee Stadium.
3. Queens. Flushing Meadows :hearts:
4. Brooklyn. I'm not gonna lie, I just haven't been here very much which I know is SO WRONG. WHATEVS!
5. Staten Island. Just sleazy. And do not even get me started on their ferry. No thank you.

15. Why do you think I found it hilarious to hear about the Trinity’s “sad goodbye”?

OMG because you are sick in the head :(

16. Would you care if no one who has not already posted in this thread asked you spotlight questions but you were still asked a lot of questions?

Of course I would, but the thread and life would move on.

17. Would you still bother with MTF if Jess got banned or just decided not to post?

Yes, this is probably the place where we speak the least ;)

18. On a scale of 1-10, how funny is the clip below?

B4en4qIKr_4

5, it got a grin but no audible chuckle

19. Suppose you had to medal in a winter Olympic sport by the age of 36 or else some terrible ‘accident’ would befall your family or whatever. You would be given an annual stipend of $250k up until your 37th birthday. Which event would you primarily target? Which other events might you consider?

I think I could do well at Curling :D I also feel like bobsled and the luge would be viable options for me.

20. Suppose instead that you had to medal in a summer Olympic sport by the age of 38. You would be given an annual stipend of $250k up until your 39th birthday. Which event would you primarily target? Which other events might you consider?

Probably swimming related stuff - Diving, synchronized swimming etc :rolls: I may also save up my money and try to buy my way onto like, Team USA Basketball, and "accidentally" suffer a major knee injury to leave me on the bench :D

No, I think they would ignore you  Have you ever been to a gym for real? Then you should know those places have more than enough problems without having to deal with hoes running on their toes. Anyway, if I were working there, I would of course have time for you and would respond to you as follows:

Dear Mr. Bibberz,

Thanks for your e-mail. Please rest assured that all comments and feedback received here at the gym are carefully read and considered and we appreciate your suggestions.

Please remember that our weekend kickboxing class is filling up fast, so call me direct at 555-5555 if you'd like to reserve a spot.

Cheers,

I would be annoyed and respond back via text and say "your loss you should be visiting the Matt not the Met". I'd get over it though.

(b) Two hours before: OMG I’ve decided to go to the Met with my friend instead of the USO. My old anthropology professor is giving a special lecture and he’s invited us to attend. Byesies!!!

I'd think you're half geek by going to this and half tool by saying Byesies :rolls: I'd still respond and probably just say "whatevs"

(c) Two hours before: I think I’d rather go to the Met instead of the USO. Sorry, I know this is a shitty move. Do you guys want to meet up for dinner somewhere? My treat. I’ll meet you anywhere.

First reasonable message yet! I would respond via text and say it's OK and say Jess is in charge of decision making and we would let you know!

(d) Two hours before: I’ve just been mugged. I have no money and no way to get to the USO, but I do really want to go. L

I'd be very concerned and worried and call you and ask you where you were to come get you. I'd pay for your transport!

(e) Two hours before: Im 2 hngover to do anythng. Cant go 2 USO cuz I fell awfull. Soz.

I would probably laugh and feel sorry for you! I'd text you back to say I hoped you feel better and that if you felt better later on the day to try and make it to the USO.

(f) Two hours before: This is Bibberz’s friend. He wanted me to text you to say that he can’t make the USO because he got in a serious bar fight last night and he’s in the hospital. He says he’s really, really sorry.

Hmm. It would depend on how close we were by this point. If it were Adam or Jess I would call the phone back to see where they were and go visit them in the hopsital and not go to the USO. If not, I would be concerned but may still go get my Kirilenko on and text back to say to feel better ;) Maybe I'd send you a little balloon too!

(g) Five minutes before: I’m at the USO right now, but I’m nervous about meeting you two. :awww:

I'd be amused and surprised :rolls: Because I would not expect that from you. I'd text back and say "OMG Just come up with 50 off the wall questions to break the ice and all will be fine!"

(h) Five minutes before: I’m at the USO right now, but I’m nervous about meeting you two. :awww: I’m sorry, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

I would be dumbfounded :rolls: I think I would call you because I'd be worried you'd run and hide in a corner all day :haha:

(i) Suppose I sent the same text as above except that (based on our previous conversations/texts) you knew roughly where I was sitting, what I would be wearing, and what I look like. What would you do?

I don't think I would come up to you if you really seemed that uncomfortable. I'd probably text you back to be sure you didn't want to hang out and be sad if you didn't!

(m) Five minutes before: I’ve been detained by USO security for heckling Rogelina. I made him cry. I took pictures.

In each of these scenarios I'd be shocked and call you and ask where the security area was :rolls: This would not deter me!

(n) Five minutes before: OMG, I just ran into an old high school friend—who happens to be Lindsay Davenport’s assistant! I’ll be sitting with them!

I'd call you up faster than you can say OMG REMEMBER WHEN LINDSAY WON THE 1998 US OPEN 6-3 7-5 and beg to come with you :D

(o) Five minutes before: OMG, I just ran into an old high school friend—who happens to be Lindsay Davenport’s assistant! I’ll be sitting with them! Fuck off, bitches!!!!

(p) Five minutes before: OMG, I just ran into an old high school friend—who happens to be Lindsay Davenport’s assistant! I’m sitting with them. LD says Jess can come, but she doesn’t want you around because she thinks you’re creepy. (Let’s say I only sent this text to you.)

(q) Suppose I sent the last text to both you and Jess.

OMG in each of these scenarios I'd be devastated. I'd tell Jess if she didn't get the text and we'd both decide we're better off hanging out with Alize anyway :D If you sent it to both of us we're still come to this decision and probably ignore you.

(r) Five minutes before: I’m at the USO, but I’ve just inexplicably wet myself. I’m in one of the bathrooms. Please help. Seriously, man. SOS.

I think I'd be disturbed, not respond and pretend we were ever going to meet this day

(s) Five minutes before: I was just at the USO, but I’ve left the grounds because I just inexplicably wet myself. I’m too embarrassed to meet you guys. Please lie to Jess and come up with a better excuse for why I can’t make it. I’m really sorry.

I again would be disturbed but text you back to say I understood and that I would do this for you. Obviously I'd gossip all day about this incident with Jess, tell her the truth, and make her swear not to spill the beans :haha:

(t) Five minutes before: OMG, I JUST RAN INTO BRAD GILBERT!!! He’s invited me to hang with him all day. I don’t think I’ll have time to meet up with you guys. Sorry.

I'd be bewildered and think "Wow, tools really do travel is pairs" ;) I think this one would deserve a simple "WTF" text back.

(u) Five minutes before: I just ran into Brad Gilbert and asked for a picture with him. He told me to fuck off or he would call security. I’m heartbroken. I just want to leave the grounds. :sobbing:

I would be shocked! How many would really ask Brad for a picture! I'd call you and tell you to wait for me and that we'd get through this emotional time together :D

(v) Five minutes before: Dude, I was snooping around I just saw Killer Cahill and Brad Gilbert making out. They’re still all over each other. Should I take a picture??? What do I do?

I would think it was hot :rolls: JUST KIDDING :p I'd text you back and say OMG WHERE and definitely tell you to take pictures and wait for me :haha:

[/I](w) Five minutes before: I just used my cell phone to take a video of Dick Enberg using a series of racial and homophobic slurs to berate his assistant. He saw me and has offered $2,500 cash for my phone. He's insisting on keeping the entire phone. I'll lose a lot of phone numbers. What do I do?

I'd tell you to take the money! We would have fun!

(x) Five minutes before: La da da dee da da da da La da da dee da da da da La da da dee da La da da da dee da La da da dee da da da da da Be my lover Wanna be me lover?

I would laugh and be amused and text you back and say OMG I LOVE LA BOUCHE.

On an unrelated note did you know the singer died?

[/I](y) Five minutes before: I'm at the USO and I would love to meet you guys, but you must lie to everyone else (IRL and on MTF) and say that we never met. Also, you will not be permitted to take a picture of me. These are my terms. Do you accept?

I'd think you were weird but I would text you back say I accept! Anything to hang out!

[/I](z) Five minutes after we've met: Dude, I can't make it to the USO. I had to take my friend to the hospital--he's gravely ill. (I'm sitting right next to you at some match and I have a completely straight face.)

I would be amused and text you back and say OMG I never made it, sorry, who are you sitting next to?

I'd be very concerned and worried and call you and ask you where you were to come get you. I'd pay for your transport!
:D

Hmm. It would depend on how close we were by this point. If it were Adam or Jess I would call the phone back to see where they were and go visit them in the hopsital and not go to the USO. If not, I would be concerned but may still go get my Kirilenko on and text back to say to feel better ;) Maybe I'd send you a little balloon too!Dude, GET YOUR MAKIRI ON! That's an easy decision.

I'd be amused and surprised :rolls: Because I would not expect that from you. I'd text back and say "OMG Just come up with 50 off the wall questions to break the ice and all will be fine!"
Yeah, that would not be like me. :p

In each of these scenarios I'd be shocked and call you and ask where the security area was :rolls: This would not deter me!
You wouldn't be really, really disturbed if I groped Lindsay?

I think I'd be disturbed, not respond and pretend we were ever going to meet this day
Cruel.

I again would be disturbed but text you back to say I understood and that I would do this for you. Obviously I'd gossip all day about this incident with Jess, tell her the truth, and make her swear not to spill the beans
I think everyone would do this.

I'd be bewildered and think "Wow, tools really do travel is pairs" ;) I think this one would deserve a simple "WTF" text back.
Brad Gilbert is awesome. :(

I would be shocked! How many would really ask Brad for a picture! I'd call you and tell you to wait for me and that we'd get through this emotional time together :D
I would. I wanted Pumpkin to get a picture with him at Wimbers, but he didn't come through.

I would think it was hot :rolls: JUST KIDDING I'd text you back and say OMG WHERE and definitely tell you to take pictures and wait for me
Why are you kidding? That would be hawt. BG and Killer?

I'd tell you to take the money! We would have fun!I had to edit this question. I initially set the amount at $10,000. It later occurred to me that anyone who wasn't already a millionaire would definitely turn over their phone for that sum.

I would laugh and be amused and text you back and say OMG I LOVE LA BOUCHE.

On an unrelated note did you know the singer died?
I'm delighted--thought not at all surprised--that you knew the song. I did not know she died.

I'd think you were weird but I would text you back say I accept! Anything to hang out!
:D

If I may, I will interrupt and explain Fed Cup

Adam and I am being screwed, Bibberz. You may not enjoy this story because it involves TT, but it is also a story of betrayal and heartbreak. On WTAW, Adam and I play doubles every week together, and we're pretty much awesome. Any team would be lucky to have us. Last year for Fed Cup we wanted to start a team and play, so since there was no British squad, we decided to be team GBR :rocker: I've been using a Scottish flag on there ever since. We get to the SF of Fed Cup TT, where we end up losing to Matt's Team USA in a retelling of the Revolutionary War.

Fast forward to this year. These people have no respect for history. They decide that the captain of each Fed Cup team is the highest ranked player of the country, and this dude sdtoot (also an MTF-er) is the highest ranked GBR player. He names another MTF-er Gavnich77 to the British team and never even PMs or talks or makes any gesture to me and Adam. Say, WHAT? No respect. Then this dude even seems to be bragging about how they are a seeded team. UM, DID YOU DO ANYTHING TO DESERVE THAT SEED AT ALL? No, I don't think YOU did. So go ahead and brag about what OTHER people earned for you  Much the same thing happened to me with team Serbia on MTF. Speaking of Team Serbia, I apparently am the captain of team Serbia this year. And I am like, "WHY? I PLAYED FOR GBR LAST YEAR" Like, I just don't get it. And today I was told I should play for Ireland with Chris 84  When even Chris was like, "Um I always play for Slovenia."

It's just being a ridiculous free for all. I'm mad that no one even TALKED to me and Adam about this. I'm sure we both assumed that we were going to be Team GBR again this year, all the real Brits would continue to show zero interest and all would be well  I wouldn't have even LOOKED if it weren't that this other dude PM-ed me on here, asking if Adam and I were going to play with him on Team Serbia. I don't think Adam will want to play on Team Serbia  he has no love for any Serbs except for Tipsarevic's girlfriend

Thanks for explaining FedCupGate, Jess. :p

1. You have to replace your middle name with one of the following names:

(a) “Little Green Apples”
(b) “A Quick One While He’s Away”
(c) “Don’t Bet Money, Honey”
(d) “I’ve Told Every Little Star”
(e) “Thank Heaven for Little Girls”
(f) “Blame it on the Bossa Nova”
(g) “She Bangs the Drum”

The quotation marks count as part of the name. For example, if your actual name is Matthew Gregory Smith it might be changed to Matthew “Little Green Apples” Smith. Which of the above would you choose? Please rank them from best to worst.

2. So you’re a big fan of Achtung Baby? That was the second CD I ever bought. What was the second CD you bought? Feel free to guess if you’re not sure.

3. You know how there are celebrities that make you think, WTF? How the hell are you still alive? How did you not die of [enter cause of death] long ago??! I’m going to list a bunch of causes of death. For each cause of death you have to give one celebrity who you think “should have” already died for that reason OR, alternatively, who is most likely to die for that reason. Got it?

(a) Heart disease
(b) Lung cancer
(c) Old age/natural causes
(d) Hard drug overdose (e.g. heroin)
(e) Intentional suicide
(f) Chronic Masturbation Syndrome (CMS)
(g) Alcohol poisoning
(h) Liver disease
(i) Drowned to death.
(j) A broken heart :awww:
(k) Mauled/attacked by a wild animal
(l) Complication arising from cosmetic surgery
(m) Murdered by father
(n) Murdered by mother
(o) Murdered by a sister
(p) Murdered by a brother
(q) Murdered by a daughter
(r) Murdered by a son
(s) Murdered by a stepparent
(t) Murdered by a jealous ex-lover
(u) Murdered by a CIA operative
(v) Murdered by a disgruntled former personal assistant
(w) Murdered by a Craigslist escort
(x) Accidentally died while trying to fake his/her own death

4. When did you realize that you “don’t even like chicas”? How old were you when you were pretty sure you didn’t like them? Did you ever have an OMG, I was already pretty sure I didn’t like them BUT THIS REMOVES ALL DOUBT sort of moment? If so, please describe that moment.

5. You and Jess go to a nightclub, get roaring drunk, and start making out. :speakles: :smooch: :speakles: You’re still going at it FIVE MINUTES LATER when a fire breaks out and a throng of people push you two apart on their way toward the exit. Obviously you head for the exit as well. Once outside, you briefly lock eyes with Jess, so you both know the other is safe. However, you completely lose track of her amid the smoke and mass hysteria.

You can’t call Jess because you left your phone in the burning building. It’s really late and you don’t feel like going back home at this hour, so you hole up in a hotel. You immediately fall asleep because you’re so exhausted. You wake up the next morning and discover that OMG you had your phone with you the whole time! Jess never made any attempt to call/text you. You decide against texting her because it’s too impersonal. Your call goes straight to her voicemail. You feel compelled to leave a message. Please write out exactly what you would say.

6. You hear a knock at your hotel room door after you leave a message for Jess. It’s your stalker! She barges in. She’s explains that she started the fire in the nightclub in order to separate you and Jess. She pulls out a handgun from her purse and points it right at you. She says you will belong to her or no one at all. What do you say? What do you do?

7. You have the option of increasing your shoe size by a minimum of four sizes. Do you exercise this option? If so, how many sizes would you expand your feet? (Your height and everything else remains unchanged.)

8. The Velvet Underground reform and start touring again. I buy two tickets to one of their shows in NYC and I offer them to you and Jess because I want you guys to see the greatest band NYC has ever produced. (Also, Lou Reed, the band’s front man, went to Syracuse. :p) You both accept, of course. You guys pick up the tickets at will call. Once you’re inside the venue you realize that one ticket is the best seat in the house (front and center) and the other ticket is waaaaay in the back. Nobody is willing to buy your ticket(s) or switch seats.

(a) What do you do? Who sits where?

(b) Jess sat up front and you sat in the back. She thought the show was amazing, and you thought it sucked. What do you say to me afterward? Are you mad at me? :awww:

(c) You sat up front and Jess sat in the back. You thought the show was amazing, and she thought it sucked. What do you say to me afterward? Is Jess mad at me? :awww:

(d) Let's say that I explain that I thought getting one awesome seat and one lousy seat was better than getting two lousy adjoining seats. Are you mad at me? :awww:

9. How many songs off the Forrest Gump soundtrack can you name off the top of your head? Please identify the song by the song’s title or--if you can’t manage that much--by some distinguishing lyric.

10. You have to choose between banning Jess from MTF for life or banning me from MTF for life. Who do you choose to ban?

11. Lindsay sets up some charitable foundation based in Southern California. She wants you to be the sole trustee. You would have to move to and live in Newport Beach, California. The job pays $125,000 per year, and you are required to make an initial ten-year commitment. You will receive an increase in pay of $35,000 per year. You will have to work anywhere from 40-50 hours per week, but there is no dress code and the work is not very taxing at all. You get two weeks of vacation each year, but you are not allowed to leave the state of California for any reason during the ten year period. Do you accept?

12. I need more info on this stalker of yours. Please start from the beginning and describe everything.

13. Looking back, was there any incident that could have hinted at Craigslist Killer’s violent tendencies? Also, I can’t believe you failed to mention this murderous loon when you were like, Oh, I'm a survivor--once I managed not to step in front of a moving vehicle blah, blah, blah .

Thanks. :hatoff:

What was your initial reaction to hearing he had been arrested?

I was beyond shocked :rolls: I also didn't... know right away. I had heard about the "craigslist killer" on the news but didn't pay attention to the name they had been giving. I logged onto Facebook and had an inbox from a New York Post reporter (I guess she messaged his entire friends list, I was his friend on Facebook) asking me for my thoughts, memories etc on him and this "shocking story". I immediately thought he had died. I googled his name fast to see if anything would come up and then was absolutely stunned :o I immediately called a few friends form college and we had like a 4-way OMG call. It was very surreal when it became an even bigger story the next on the news, people I knew being on the Today Show talking about him, etc.

The quotation marks count as part of the name. For example, if your actual name is Matthew Gregory Smith it might be changed to Matthew “Little Green Apples” Smith. Which of the above would you choose? Please rank them from best to worst.

I think I would choose "Blame it on the Bossa Nova" :rolls:

My ranking:
1. "Blame it on the Bossa Nova"
2. "A Quick One While He's Away"
3. "Don't Bet Money, Honey"
4. "Little Green Apples"
5. "I've Told Every Little Star"
6. "She Bangs the Drum"
7. "Thank Heaven For Little Girls" (I think this one would make me look like a child predator)

2. So you’re a big fan of Achtung Baby? That was the second CD I ever bought. What was the second CD you bought? Feel free to guess if you’re not sure.

I love it. It has the highest ratio of amazing songs, and not a dud on there or anything I would skip. Consistently high quality throughout. This is an easy question, I'm sure of the answer - my second CD was No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom in 1996. It's still my second favorite album of all time to this day, I love it.

Got it?

Got it!

(a) Heart disease Most likely - Regis Philbin :sobbing:
(b) Lung cancer Most likely - Bryant Gumbel
(c) Old age/natural causes Most Likely = Zsa Zsa Gabor
(d) Hard drug overdose (e.g. heroin) Should have = Courtney Love
(e) Intentional suicide Most Likely = Britney Spears.
(f) Chronic Masturbation Syndrome (CMS) Most Likely - John Mayer (did you read his Rolling Stone interview? )
(g) Alcohol poisoning Most Likely = Mariah Carey.
(h) Liver disease Should have = The cast of Jersey Shore
(i) Drowned to death. Most Likely = Michael Phelps
(j) A broken heart Most Likely = Conan O'Brien
(k) Mauled/attacked by a wild animal Should have = Roy from Siegfried and Roy.
(l) Complication arising from cosmetic surgery Should have = Joan Rivers
(m) Murdered by father Most Likely = Jelena Dokic.
(n) Murdered by mother Should have = Lindsay Lohan
(o) Murdered by a sister Most likely - Jessica Simpson
(p) Murdered by a brother Most likely - Alec Baldwin
(q) Murdered by a daughter Most likely = Octomom
(r) Murdered by a son Most likely = Octodad
(s) Murdered by a stepparent I have no idea who even has a stepparent. I will say one of Madonna's kids :D
(t) Murdered by a jealous ex-lover Should have = Tiger Woods.
(u) Murdered by a CIA operative Should have - Paris Hilton
(v) Murdered by a disgruntled former personal assistant Should have - Naomi Campbell
(w) Murdered by a Craigslist escort Most Likely = Tila Tequila.
(x) Accidentally died while trying to fake his/her own death Most Likely = Amy Winehouse

4. When did you realize that you “don’t even like chicas”? How old were you when you were pretty sure you didn’t like them? Did you ever have an OMG, I was already pretty sure I didn’t like them BUT THIS REMOVES ALL DOUBT sort of moment? If so, please describe that moment.

Umm, I think at some level I alwaysknew. I was pretty sure in high school, but I thought I may be bi-curious. I think I was very sure around 18. Believe me, I had lots and lots of experiences with girls to be sure  I totally had an OMG moment though that removed all doubt :rolls: I think I was at a 20th birthday party - now, throughout my later life, especially when drunk I tend to do anything with anyone :o Anyway, I went into a bedroom alone with stalker  We had oral sex (don't judge me) but during it, besides the fact she was absolutely awful at it, the lightbulb just went off and I was 100% at that point this was never going to happen :rolls:

5. You and Jess go to a nightclub, get roaring drunk, and start making out. You’re still going at it FIVE MINUTES LATER when a fire breaks out and a throng of people push you two apart on their way toward the exit. Obviously you head for the exit as well. Once outside, you briefly lock eyes with Jess, so you both know the other is safe. However, you completely lose track of her amid the smoke and mass hysteria.

You decide against texting her because it’s too impersonal. Your call goes straight to her voicemail. You feel compelled to leave a message. Please write out exactly what you would say.

"Hi Jess, it's Matt, OMG I am so glad you are safe. Sorry I didn't call you earlier, I thought I had lost my phone - since this is going straight to voicemial and you haven't contacted me, I'm assuming you may have lost yours instead but I hope not. Anyway I'm staying at the Ritz in a suite, if you get this message come visit me" : D

I'd probably say that I hope in the last 4 years you have learned some new techniques if I am going to belong to you :rolls:

7. You have the option of increasing your shoe size by a minimum of four sizes. Do you exercise this option? If so, how many sizes would you expand your feet? (Your height and everything else remains unchanged.)

No, I don't think so - I'm happy with my size, plus then I would have to buy new shoes! Besides, I'd be worried I'd become disproportional and look like I have clown feet

8. The Velvet Underground reform and start touring again. I buy two tickets to one of their shows in NYC and I offer them to you and Jess because I want you guys to see the greatest band NYC has ever produced. (Also, Lou Reed, the band’s front man, went to Syracuse.) You both accept, of course. You guys pick up the tickets at will call. Nobody is willing to buy your ticket(s) or switch seats.

(a) What do you do? Who sits where?

I would offer the best ticket to Jess! I am a gentleman. Obviously she would not make a decision and say "No you keep it" then I'd say "OMG NO YOU I INSIST" and we'd just argue for 2 hours and miss the concert :( No one would sit anywhere!

(b) Jess sat up front and you sat in the back. She thought the show was amazing, and you thought it sucked. What do you say to me afterward? Are you mad at me?

I wouldn't be mad if you gave me these tickets, I am not an ingrate :rolls: I would only be mad if you made us buy them from you because then that is not cool they were random seats! I would tell you that Jess thought it was amazing and that I had a good time and thank you again for the tickets and make a joke about the random seats. I would not tell you I thought the show was awful :rolls:

(c) You sat up front and Jess sat in the back. You thought the show was amazing, and she thought it sucked. What do you say to me afterward? Is Jess mad at me?

I think she would be mad at you :rolls: I would say OMG THAT WAS AMAZING and start asking you for your favorite songs etc.

(d) Let's say that I explain that I thought getting one awesome seat and one lousy seat was better than getting two lousy adjoining seats. Are you mad at me?

No, but I would suggest next time it's probably better to get two seats together no matter where  It's all about sharing the experience!

9. How many songs off the Forrest Gump soundtrack can you name off the top of your head? Please identify the song by the song’s title or--if you can’t manage that much--by some distinguishing lyric.

I can't think of anything : sad: I have nothing. If it helps, the first thing that came to my mind was Weird Al's "Gump" parody :D

10. You have to choose between banning Jess from MTF for life or banning me from MTF for life. Who do you choose to ban?

It is tempting to ban Jess because I have so many other opportunities to talk to her and this is the only place we speak, but I'd have to ban you and tell you to join WTAworld : D : sad: Please forgive me!

You get two weeks of vacation each year, but you are not allowed to leave the state of California for any reason during the ten year period. Do you accept?

No, I wouldn't. I'd go crazy. 10 years is way too much of a commitment and this arrangement would stifle me. I'd maybe do it for 5 years though.

12. I need more info on this stalker of yours. Please start from the beginning and describe everything.

Can I PM you, Adam, Jess and Melanie with this instead? :rolls:

13. Looking back, was there any incident that could have hinted at Craigslist Killer’s violent tendencies? Also, I can’t believe you failed to mention this murderous loon when you were like, Oh, I'm a survivor--once I managed not to step in front of a moving vehicle blah, blah, blah .

Um, not really. I was very surprised. There was one incident though during the year that now I immediately think "makes sense". Four of us shared the apartment, we each had our own rooms and we had a common living room area and kitchen. He had put a TV in the living room. It was stolen one night  And it was absolutely the only thing that went missing. He also didn't seem very bothered by it. After the story about him broke, and how he had a crazy gambling addiction and how hard-strapped he was for money, I'm pretty sure he pawned it off or something and pretended that it was stolen.

Thanks.

Thank YOU sir : D

7. "Thank Heaven For Little Girls" (I think this one would make me look like a child predator) :rolls: I answered this question (in my own mind). It would be in my top three. Hopefully the fact that I'm female might counteract what you said.

I was hoping you'd go with "Little Green Apples," but "Blame it on the Bossa Nova" would also be RIDICULOUS.

I love it. It has the highest ratio of amazing songs, and not a dud on there or anything I would skip. Consistently high quality throughout. You would not get paid anything if we split before the 5 years was over (so no chance for $4 million for 4 years or anything).

I was trying to think of aquatic beings, because like, who else would really drown? Surely someone who spends so much time in the water is most likely to drown! You know when swimmers go and bounce off the edge of the pool and twirl and head back for the other side? WHAT IF HE HITS HIS HEAD REALLY HARD WHILE ALONE :sobbing: DROWN!

I'd ask you more questions about what kind of music you like, but alas, you have no Spotlight thread of your own.

We're Facebook friends, you have my email address from when we played fantasy sports together, and there are always PMs. :p

That never stopped you in Adam's.

Is Adam's thread Matty's thread? Um, no. FACE! Also, part of the reason I don't want my own spotlight thread is that I don't want to be obligated to answer any random question put to me. DOUBLE FACE!

Not withstanding your disclaimer at the end, I do not think I can choose between McHick (choice a) and McThug (choice b). They are certainly no McDreamy/McSteamy, are they?

They both are scary looking!

I don't think there's any possible way I could get you to marry one of them :rolls: I would choose JP, at least he can cook and is less prone to leave garbage right above the garbage can :D

6) Don't worry, I don't want to marry one of your brothers :rolls:

Good!

7) Do you like the Winter Olympics?

Not really. I like figure skating because I like to see people fall and start crying - but it's really like a poor man's gymanstics. I'll still watch them though.

8) Do you remember how we first became friends because of the Summer Olympics? :awww: Nothing bonds two people tighter than hoping 12 year old Chinese gymnasts fall off the beam :hearts:

Devendorf MAY be more of a thug than Triche. The real answer is because they are both selfish basketball players who have inflated egos and think they are better than they really are :D:D They have nearly identical games. I thought I got rid of Devendorf finally and they go and bring in Triche. Makes me want to cry.

1. Two MTFers made fun of NorCal when they knew I was around. :tears: I put them on ignore. :D This is the first time I’ve ever used the ignore feature. I can tell when these two posters post, but I don’t know what they’re saying--I find it very amusing. What do you think of the ignore feature? Have you ever used it on WTAWorld? If so, who did you ignore? Why did you ignore them?

2. A lot of my questions to you involve Jess. How do you feel about this? Would you rather I ask more Matty-centric questions? Are you ever curious about how she might respond to some of my Matty-Jess (“Mess”) questions?

3. What do you think of the portmanteau “Mess”? Do you think it’s unfair that Jess gets three letters (“ess”) to your one (“M”)? The “M” is the first letter in the name and it’s capitalized, so I don’t think it’s unfair. :p

4. I had to spend a lot of my Saturday at my brother’s house. It was my niece’s third birthday. It was good to see everyone, but…damn, it was a Saturday! What was the last family event (i.e. involving all six members of your family and more than six members of your extended family) that you attended? How was it? Did anything noteworthy happen?

5. A few of my brother’s friends were there. They all have at least one kid around the age of four or so. I knew most of these people BEFORE they had kids. They no longer talk about the latest band/movie, whether the Giants made good off-season moves (nope ), or any of that fun stuff. Now it’s all property value this and day care that.

(a) I know you’re not even 25, but you’re still old enough to have friends who have changed a lot since high school (or maybe even college). Please give two examples of friends who—to your surprise (and perhaps chagrin)—grew up a bit too much or a bit too fast. You know what I mean.

(b) When was the last time you caught yourself doing something that made you realize that you were leaving your youth behind and/or becoming more and more of an adult? For example, listening to NPR would be a pretty big indication.

6. While my niece was feeling out her presents, she looked at a couple and said, “These shapes are books!” (Oh, really, munchkin? I worked that shit out like half an hour ago. I ain’t impressed. I can use my mentalist abilities to gauge the degree to which a fat guy follows a sport. :smoke: Get back to me when you can do something as badass as that.)

(a) Please give an example of someone (let’s say an adult) calling attention to something in your presence that provoked a Thanks, Captain Obvious response or thought from you.

(b) Please describe an incident where you called attention to something only to have someone shoot you down with a Captain Obvious response, making you feel (at least slightly) embarrassed.

7. My niece tried to put this purple velvet crown on me when she thought I was sleeping. WTF?

(a) What’s the cruelest thing anyone has ever done to you while you were sleeping?

(b) What’s the cruelest thing you’ve ever done to someone while he or she was asleep?

8. Man, I really want to ask a stalker question, but I should probably wait until you tell us a bit more about her. This one was going to be pretty elaborate. It would help if you could describe her physical characteristics—height, weight, ethnicity, complexion, etc.

9. Have you started Mad Men yet? (It’s a very good show. I can’t say for sure that you’ll like it because I don’t really know your tastes, but you should give it about three episodes before deciding whether to commit.) How close is your place of employment to Madison Avenue?

10. Please look at the following statements:

(a) Your dad fathered five children during his marriage to your mother.
(b) Your oldest brother has lost over $250,000 gambling on cockfighting matches.
(c) Your sister has become a Youtube sensation (over 10.5M views) for her parodies of Lady Gaga music videos. Lady Gaga took notice and has just asked your sister to become part of her entourage.
(d) Over the years, one of your brothers has pressured his girlfriends to get a total of 17 abortions between them.
(e) You were adopted when you were seven days old. Your parents found you in picnic basket right outside their front door.
(f) One summer in the 1970s your father lived in the San Fernando Valley and starred in 14 pornographic films.
(g) Your mother and father met at a white supremacist rally during which they both gave impassioned speeches against miscegenation.
(h) Your stalker has had one-night stands with both of your brothers and your father.
(i) Your dad has stolen over $5,000,000 from his art gallery over the years.
(j) Your dad once worked for Grand Funk Railroad in the 1970s, and his sole job was to find groupies for the band. He developed a life-threatening coke addiction during this time.

Which of the above statements is most believable? Please rank the statements from most believable to least believable. It would also be great if you could explain why a statement is/isn’t believable.

If so, who did you ignore? Why did you ignore them?

OMG, ignore function = life. I choose to surround myself with positivity, so haters and their negativity can just talk to the internet's version of the hand, the ignore function. You diss Linds on WTAworld? IGNORED. You make a crack about MK being fired by Stella McCartney last summer? IGNORED. You said that Maria Sharapova would beat MK this year at the AO? IGNORED (and a fool) :D

Often times for a Maria Kirilenko "who will win?" thread, I can view about two responses. And I can sleep at night.

2. A lot of my questions to you involve Jess. How do you feel about this? Would you rather I ask more Matty-centric questions? Are you ever curious about how she might respond to some of my Matty-Jess (“Mess”) questions?

I don't mind, I think at the end of the day it's just social situation questions and I often think about them as what I would do with any good friend of mine  I sometimes am curious!

3. What do you think of the portmanteau “Mess”? Do you think it’s unfair that Jess gets three letters (“ess”) to your one (“M”)? The “M” is the first letter in the name and it’s capitalized, so I don’t think it’s unfair.

It's OK, but predictable. I would prefer our portmanteu to be "Jmatt". It would immediately bring conversation on how to pronounce this, which in essence, sums up a lot of my time with Jess :rolls: Is it a silent J? A hard J? A soft A or a hard A??? It's like "how do you pronounce horror" to the next level :hearts:

Hmm, we went to my Uncle's house for a lunch sometime in early December. I don't have a huge amount of extended family that live close by and/or it's hard for all 6 of us to be together for an event and/or have more than 6 extended family members there. In fact, this was the first one in a while. It was also a Saturday, such a drag. I actually had a good time though, it was something I was dreading but it was good. Umm, I got some good gossip out of it  My mom has a bunch of siblings (my Dad is an only child) and there is some drama with one, and we got the gossip on the past a bit. It was quite interesting.

5. A few of my brother’s friends were there. They all have at least one kid around the age of four or so. I knew most of these people BEFORE they had kids. They no longer talk about the latest band/movie, whether the Giants made good off-season moves (nope : mad:), or any of that fun stuff.

One of my very good friends from college got married almost immediately after we graduated in 2007 at the age of 22, and had a baby last month at 24. Prior to the baby they became homeowners. I cannot begin to fathom this.

One of my other friends and her boyfriend moved in together a year or two ago, which I don't have any issue with, this is normal. They got a dog though and became like.... super adult. Meaning they won't go out at all and put the dog first at all times. They also won't come to visit you, you have to go to them because of it, and they are just bores now. I feel like it totally changed them and they act like they are 40 with 3 kids.

(b) When was the last time you caught yourself doing something that made you realize that you were leaving your youth behind and/or becoming more and more of an adult? For example, listening to NPR would be a pretty big indication.

I got my W-2s from work last week and got excited about doing my tax returns :o

6. While my niece was feeling out her presents, she looked at a couple and said, “These shapes are books!” (Oh, really, munchkin? : rolleyes: I worked that shit out like half an hour ago.

:rolls: You're terrible!

So when I work in NYC, it's in a conference room with 7 other people. Someone came in a few weeks ago absolutely SOAKED and someone else in the room goes "Wow, I think it might be raining" :rolls:

(b) Please describe an incident where you called attention to something only to have someone shoot you down with a Captain Obvious response, making you feel (at least slightly) embarrassed.

When I was back from Albany in November, there was rubbernecking due to an accident on the other side of the highway. Police, fire trucks etc and a smashed up car and I said "I think there was an accident" outloud and I got 1 glare and 1 "Yeah thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea" :o :( I wanted to go on a silent protest after that.

7. My niece tried to put this purple velvet crown on me when she thought I was sleeping. WTF?

(a) What’s the cruelest thing anyone has ever done to you while you were sleeping?

OMG I had shaving cream sprayed all over my face   I could have died, it was hard to breathe!

(b) What’s the cruelest thing you’ve ever done to someone while he or she was asleep?

I helped draw nasty little messages in marker on someone's face :rolls:

8. Man, I really want to ask a stalker question, but I should probably wait until you tell us a bit more about her. This one was going to be pretty elaborate. It would help if you could describe her physical characteristics—height, weight, ethnicity, complexion, etc.

I gave a name in the PM, I can link you to their facebook account. : D

9. Have you started Mad Men yet? (It’s a very good show. I can’t say for sure that you’ll like it because I don’t really know your tastes, but you should give it about three episodes before deciding whether to commit.) How close is your place of employment to Madison Avenue?

No, not yet. I hope I like it, I see it's quite critically acclaimed. I started watching Chuck instead, which I now love. I also have to catch up on Entourage at some point, so that will battle Mad Men for next in my DVD player rights. If you watch both, which do you recommend first?

From most believable to least:

1. You were adopted when you were seven days old. Your parents found you in picnic basket right outside their front door. (I definitely feel adopted a lot of the time! I am quite different from my family most of the time :rolls: )
2. Your oldest brother has lost over $250,000 gambling on cockfighting matches. (this would probably be #1 if the amount wasn't so high).
3. Your sister has become a Youtube sensation (over 10.5M views) for her parodies of Lady Gaga music videos. Lady Gaga took notice and has just asked your sister to become part of her entourage. (She is a cool kid and very trendy. I could easily see this happening :worship: )
4. Over the years, one of your brothers has pressured his girlfriends to get a total of 17 abortions between them. (He was living with McPsycho, I wouldn't blame him. She should not reproduce.)
5. One summer in the 1970s your father lived in the San Fernando Valley and starred in 14 pornographic films. (Lots of Dad questions! Do you think I have Daddy issues? Anyway money was tight back then, you gotta do what you gotta do!)
6. Your dad once worked for Grand Funk Railroad in the 1970s, and his sole job was to find groupies for the band. He developed a life-threatening coke addiction during this time. (My Dad has surprised me with some stories from the past, but Coke? No way  )
7. Your mother and father met at a white supremacist rally during which they both gave impassioned speeches against miscegenation. (My parents are republicans. Therefore it is automatically semi-believable.)
8. Your stalker has had one-night stands with both of your brothers and your father ( Just :spit: No chance.)
9. Your dad fathered five children during his marriage to your mother. (He is a good man! No way!)
10 Your dad has stolen over $5,000,000 from his art gallery over the years. (He is not a thief! And if he is, I sure haven't seen a dime :rolls: )

Umm, I got some good gossip out of it  My mom has a bunch of siblings (my Dad is an only child) and there is some drama with one, and we got the gossip on the past a bit. It was quite interesting. How good?

I got my W-2s from work last week and got excited about doing my tax returns :o

No, not yet. I hope I like it, I see it's quite critically acclaimed. I started watching Chuck instead, which I now love. I also have to catch up on Entourage at some point, so that will battle Mad Men for next in my DVD player rights. If you watch both, which do you recommend first?Chuck - Never seen it.

Entourage - I've seen a lot of episodes, but I haven't seen them all. It's not a very good show. Too formulaic. They resolve every conflict by having Vince bang some hawt chick. (Also, Vince once wore one of my favorite jackets [Diesel] in an episode. That bugged me. :()

Finish up Chuck and then start Mad Men.

2. Your oldest brother has lost over $250,000 gambling on cockfighting matches. (this would probably be #1 if the amount wasn't so high).
I initially wrote $10k, but then I decided to make it more extreme.

5. One summer in the 1970s your father lived in the San Fernando Valley and starred in 14 pornographic films. (Lots of Dad questions! Do you think I have Daddy issues? Anyway money was tight back then, you gotta do what you gotta do!)
It's easier to create these sorts of statements about your dad--he's probably in his fifties, and you've only known him for half his life or whatever.

I originally had a question about your sister, but I thought you might think it was a bit much. :o That's why she got the most lighthearted one.

I should probably ask Matty some questions in this post.

1. When was the last time someone used some sort of sexual term/slang in your presence of which you did not know the meaning? What was it? How did you learn the meaning of the term?

2. When was the last time you were asked to define a sexual term/slang? What was it? Were you embarrassed?

3. Which do you think is funnier--"romp in the sack" or "roll in the hay"? I think I prefer the latter a bit more. :D You have 14 days to use both of these phrases to refer to sexual intercourse in a "real life" (i.e. in-person or by phone) conversation with someone other than Jess. You can't use both phrases in the same conversation, and you can't use both phrases with the same person. YOU HAVE TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE AND ACT LIKE THE PHRASE IS PERFECTLY NORMAL. I will ask follow-up questions in two weeks.

1) On a scale from 1-10 rate the following things about your appearance/personality :p

a) Hair

Anywhere between a 6-9, it depends on the day and how it is cut etc, I am very self conscious about this actually :p

b) Ability to trust others

7.5, I am definitely above average but I definitely have reservations sometimes.

c) Trustworthiness

I would say about an 8. I've broken people's trust in the past (nothing major) so I'm not perfect (I don't think anyone is though).

d) General appearance

I would say a 7!

e) Confidence

I am generally pretty confident, I again am not perfect here so I would say an 8.

f) Style

I think I have a good sense of style, I think I'm generally a bit lazy with it though. 7. I could put much more effort/money into it.

g) Sense of Humor

This is a strong point of mine! 9! :D

h) Eyes

I missed out on the blue eye gene, I have average green eyes. 5!

i) Intelligence

I think I'm quite intelligent (doesn't everyone say that?), in school like most things it always more about the effort that wasn't there. I adapt well and pick things up very quickly I will say 8.5.

Scrabble ability

10. NID.

2) Would you rather jump out of plane or have to eat some sort of animal testicle Fear Factor style :P

I would probably eat almost anything before jumping out of a plane :rolls:

3) Have you ever touched a snake? Would you ever? Do you mind creepy animals like snakes?

I have for sure, but on like school trips etc. I would never like, touch a random snake in the grass or something though. I don't mind them.

4) Are you afraid of any animals?

Umm, I don't *like* a lot and find a lot annoying, but in terms of afraid... probably anything that can eat me! Sharks! Lions!

5) Why aren't you coming with me to Wimbledon this year? Do you remember our slightly tipsy conversation about this massive trip we were going to take together this year that involved going to Paris, London, Ireland and Spain? :rolls:

1. I like it, but I don't live for it. I think it's nice, but it's not amazing, but I also don't think it's stupid and pointless either like people. So I fall right in the middle :D

2. Well, the obvious choice is Christmas - it's just a really "special" day and just generally feels all warm and fuzzy still to this day. Plus, I love the buildup to it, the decorations etc.

My #2 would actually be Labor Day I think - I just associate it with a really, really lovely time of the year. Day off, holding onto the last bit of summer, BBQs, TENNIS, etc.

Interesting to me, but nothing worth sharing. But it seems like my family was on Dynasty or something, they are ridiculous :rolls:

I forgot to mention, perhaps a better example (as I've been doing my taxes for several years) - when I picked got my prescription for tooth meds, it was the first time I ever used my health insurance from work, my health insurance card etc. I was waiting around and there were lots of elderly people around. I felt very adult :awww:

Chuck - Never seen it.

Hi Matt :hearts
1) As a No Doubt fan, what would you say if I suggested that Spiderwebs was their best song?

I would say this is a good choice! This was the song that got me interested in them and made me buy the album etc. It's definitely in my Top 5 of all time to this day, so approved!

2) Do you know how many times I was on the verge of tears during the 3rd set of the Muzza-Fed match? :bigcry

Yes, that was.... not good. ; )I was going to wake up to watch it but 3:30am is crazy. I woke up at 6-something and it was already over. I think Andy will get there someday, he has youth on his side, someday Grandpa Fed will not be there to bitch slap him

3) Speaking of waterworks during Murray matches....do you remember his match against Melzer on Armstrong we went to? Do you recall my t-shirt gradually becoming darker? How many Olympic sized swimming pools do you think I could have filled with my sweat? :

OMG I do, it was SO FREAKING AWFUL OUT, are you mad at me for making us leave (did you leave with me?). I despise Meltzer. And that was when Andy had hair that needed a weedwhacker to cut it :rolls: I think you could have filled 3!

4) What are your favourite and least favourite 24 storylines?

I loved the mole in Season 1 with the big payout at the end, I was genuinely shocked at that. I also loved a bunch of seasons ago when Tony, Michelle and Chloe all banded together to save Jack and get him out of CTU for whatever reason, it was very satisfying and a FIST PUMP MOMENT. I live for fist pump moments in life almost as much as I live for moments that make you say OMG. I also love various Sherry antics, including but not limited to killing that old man by not giving him his medication and the Season 2 finale where she went out in the field with Jack : D

Least favorite is the Audrey Chinese nonsense, I didn't love the drug stuff in Season 3, and the Kim-Cougar storyline. The amnesia was pretty weak too, I agree with you on that.

5) Have you bought an apartment yet that I can stay at in August? :aww:

Not yet! Give me time man! I am trying to save the big bucks right now!

6) What is it that makes you like Lindsay so much?

Umm, I just find her to be a very real and relatable person. She was somebody who wasn't really supposed to amount to anything - awkward looking, overweight, unconfident. People in the locker room used to call her "dump truck" :spit: I like how she gained self-belief gradually, got motivated, proved the haters wrong, got in shape etc and became so successful. It's more inspiring to me than someone naturally athletic winning 22 slams. I feel like she worked harder and overcame her personal limitations to be a success! She was also very human wherein if she would lose a big lead or whatever and she'd get all mopey and go "fuck this" and tank. I think we all do that.

7) If Lindsay was hot, do you think I'd have been a fan?

She's not hot? But yes, if she met your criteria for hot, I think so. Are there any hot players you don't like?

8) If you had the choice of making Lindsay look like Kiri or her having 2 extra slams, what would you choose?

Two slams for sure, Lindsay already has the husband, the kids etc, she doesn't need the looks, the only thing missing from her life are a few more slams to make her a more respected and remembered champion. Her career stats are among the greater players of all time except for slam titles won.

9) How did you break the news to your family about your sexuality? Was it a big deal for you? How did they respond?

Ummmmmmm would you be surprised if I said this news bulletin has not been broadcasted yet? It's a big deal to me and I don't think they would respond well so that is why I am not there yet! Most of it is probably in my head, but I do know it would be super uncomfortable/emotionally draining so I'm kinda avoiding it until I have to (i.e. when I have a serious relationship while in their vicinity). I would absolutely do it at that point. Most of my friends have responded well, I did have 1 and a half bad experiences though

I mean, going ahead to question #10 below - even though it may not have been obvious to you upon meeting to them, I really do think they do or should know. It's probably just a matter of confirming it.

I am open to tips on how to do this though. I know I should get on it...

10) Most gay people that I know are huge extroverts. I would not say that you are. In fact, I actually didn't even realise after we met that you were gay, it was only later on. Would you ever consider acting/dressing/speaking in such a way that it would be 100% obvious?

Yeah, I would agree I'm not a huge extrovert, I mean I guess #9 above goes along with that. No, I don't think so - not because I would be embarassed by it, but because at the end of the day it's just not me, you know? I have a crazy accent/way of pronouncing things as it is, I do not need to make it any worse  I do wonder if over the years I've subconsiously adapted to become more of an introvert here though, it's an interesting thing to think about.

How did you realize it later on?

11) Would you rather go on a date with a gorgeous girl or an ugly man?

Well, if this were a true date date and I was looking to get romantically involved, I would have to choose the ugly man! Tsk tsk Adam, let us not judge those books by their covers! I would know that there's 0% chance of the date with the gorgeous girl going anywhere relationship wise (those there's the chance of becoming BFFz) so I would not waste their time or mine. Not fair.

Now, whether I would like, go hang out with one or the other may be a different question!

12) Who do you think are the 5 prettiest WTA players?

1. Kirilenko
2. Ivanovic
3. Dementieva
4. Sorana
5. Dulko

I think Flavia would be #6.

13) When are you getting an iPhone?

Possibly April - it's a potential birthday present if I want it. My phone contract is up in May, so if I get an iPhone, it will probably be in April. If I don't, I'll probably upgrade to something with Verizon. It's only difficult because I really don't want to switch phone carriers and change my phone number.

14) Would you quit your job for one which you enjoyed far more but paid $10,000 less per year?

Yes, for sure. The only way I wouldn't is if I actually couldn't live my current life (fixed bills, food, maintaining my subscription to the Official Lindsay Davenport Club 4 True Fanzzzz etc) by taking that paycut. Right now and when I lived on my own anyway I can/could've survive on 10k less.

15) Would you ever want to adopt children?

Ever? Definitely... but obviously not anywhere in the near future. It's not something I've really thought about much in the past, but slowly and surely I think of it every once in a while. I think now that people I know are having children, it's right in my face!

16) If you could change your name, what would you change it to?

I like the name Patrick, I chose it as my Confirmation name. But I really like my own name and have no desire to change it at the same time.

17) What are your 3 worst bad habits?

1. I crack my knuckles ALL the time. I know it is supposedly a medical myth that this causes any type of damage (thanks Jess!) but I think it's a bad habit.
2. I get really annoyed at slow drivers/walking pedestrians in front of me. I had one person give me a "HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME" look as I went to pass her a few weeks ago after tailgating/flashing lights etc, I felt quite bad (but she 100% deserved it)! I think I am generally a pretty calm person but those of those can make me quite angry and become very, very impatient.
3. BEING INDECISIVE :p

I can also hold grudges, i.e. you think things are fine and dandy and in my head I'm going EFF YA'LL : rolls:

18) Please put these in order of which upsets you most ---> least:
a) Lindsay being more interested in babies than slams.
b) Our lack of contact on msn.
c) Being underappreciated by James in WTA TT.
d) Homophobia.
e) Long days at work.

1. Homophobia
2. Our lack of contact on MSN :awww:
3. Lindsay being more interested in babies than slams. I'm kind of at peace with it though, life goes on especially when MK makes slam QFs to fill the "break my heart late in slams" void Lindsay has left!
4. Long days at work. This is so temporary that I feel like a long day can't upset me much in the long run. If it was a long stretch of long days (i.e. 2 weeks in a row), it may be #2 : lol:
5. Being underappreciated by James in WTA TT. His loss if he under-appreciates me!. I don't live for him.

19) When was the last time you made a decisive decision?

Today at work, someone asked me what to do and I told them! I also quickly decided what I wanted for lunch at Cosi today!!

20) Do you feel that given the fact I opened this thread, I should have asked more questions to you?

No, because I know that you are not on the internet that often right now! I may think otherwise if you were back to your 20 hours a day on the internet semi-limited internet time back in the UK.

21) Other than OMG, are there any abbreviations/internet slang that you actually say when speaking?

I say LOL and LOLZ as jokes to make fun of people, not as like serious speak. As in someone tells me something that isn't funny and expect me to die of laughter I may reply "UH LOLZ" with a disapproving face :D I do say BFF. I don't think there's anything else though. I also say "Eff" as a a deliberate abbreviation, not because I don't want to say Fuck. OMG OK I keep adding to this as I answer other questions, I also say Whatevs

22) If you could have a photo with any 5 active tennis players that aren't in the top 10 (male or female), who would they be?

Mel C, Mel O (even though she's bugging me lately), Clijsters, Sharapova (I don't like her but it would make peeps jeal to the max) and I would have said Cilic but he's #10 now, I will say Haas. We need some dick up in here (is that extrovert-ish enough for you? )

23) If Alisa Kleybanova hired you as her personal trainer, what would your plan be?

I'd pump lots of Big Macs, practice sprints to and from the ice cream truck, and do 30 repetitions of severely awkward head/neck moments when hitting a ball : D

24) What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

"You can lead a cow to the pasture, but you can't make it eat the grass" :rolls:

I also regularly live by "You might think this is bad, but you could be living on a dirt road eating pebbles for dinner" :D

25) Why do you think ITZ was scared to meet Jess and I at the US Open?

Were you very close to him then? I think he just didn't think he knew you guys well enough at the time. Also, I think it is kinda stalker-esque to randomly approach you and be like HEY ADAM AND JESS I WAS WATCHING YOU AND COULD TELL IT WAS YOU : rolls: This year!

26) Please order these in terms of enjoyment for days at the USO:
1) Qualifying
2) Practice day
3) Grounds pass for day 1 or 2.
4) Good Arthur Ashe ticket for R1.
5) Arthur Ashe ticket for R4 up in the sky for a night session.
1) Grounds pass for Day 1 or 2. So many options, so many good names on outer courts, lots of bang for your buck!
2) Arthur Ashe ticket for R4 up in the sky for a night session. I had a really good time at my night sessions and they were high up, it depends on the matches you get though, so this one is very hit and miss. This is based on a quality experience.
3) Qualifying - I live for bitches losing 7-6 in the third and heckling them when they start sobbing because they can't pay for their flight back home
4) Practice Day - MK stalking : inlove: Just not quite enough action.
5) Good Arthur Ashe Ticket for R1. This is the only one I haven't experienced, so I can't really comment. I generally don't have an interest for Ashe for R1 anyway, who wants to see Serena def. Kvitova 6-1 6-1 up close and personal? : rolls:

27) Why are America still unable to produce any good chocolate?

I don't know, it's quite shocking. I don't live for chocolate though so I don't really notice too much. You'd think there would be a market here!

28) What are the 3 things you dislike most about being American?

1. I hate how big it is and how you can't easily experience truly different cultures by traveling between States. In Europe, it's quite easy to go from one country to the next and I wish I could drive 4 hours or take a train and end up in a new country. Instead I end up in Pennsylvania. :o
2. It's not being hated by the rest of the world! Don't judge me since I didn't vote for Bush and don't live in the South! I am lovely!
3. Insert generic Health Care complaint here

29) If you could change nationality, where would you be from?

Hmm, just nationality, but not living there, yes? I guess Canadian. It's a fairly inoffensive country, still close to here etc.

30) On average, how much sleep do you like to get?

I do like to get 8, because all those studies say how you will get diseases/live 30 years younger/die 10 different ways/fall asleep during a Lindsay Davenport match if you get any less. I generally get 6.5-7 during the week, and it varies on the weekend depending on what I'm doing/how late I'm up. I don't like getting more than 8 though because then I feel like a waste : lol:

31) Why do you find it so hard to say goodbye to people? (the trinity farewell, letting me go to bed on msn... )

Time with you is precious! I wasn't sure if I'd ever see you again during the Trinity farewell :sobbing: And we talk so infrequently (and so little when I do catch you on MSN) that I need to hang onto every last Adam morsel!! I think I'm generally fine with saying OK BYE to everyone else in my life :rolls:

32) How much do you know about the Jewish religion?

My best two friends are Jewish, so a bit! The area I live in has a large Jewish community, and I went to college where there are a lot of Jewish people as well. I love them :hearts:

33) What's the most amount of money you've spent on an item of clothing?

Umm, not that much, I think I spent $300 on a suit or something a while ago. I generally buy stuff $100 and less.

34) Am I pushing my luck by asking this many questions? Are you going to give short, uninteresting replies?

I like them!! I think they are interesting! I hope my answers have satisfied you!

35) What do you want to have achieved in life before you die?

OK, you should have quit while you were ahead, I don't like this question :p Umm, I would like to have found love and made lots of money (7 figures at least y'all) and own a yacht :D I can't think of any concrete life achievements i.e. I would like to win 7 speedskating gold medals or invent the iSlam (it's an app to make your favorite player win the current slam. Use of this device is only limited to me) or whatevs.

No questions, just reactions.

Ummmmmmm would you be surprised if I said this news bulletin has not been broadcasted yet? I'm surprised, Matt. You seem so open about it here.

3. Insert generic Health Care complaint here I just said something like #1 to someone else on MTF the other day. I at least could end up in the US after four hours.

Hmm, just nationality, but not living there, yes? I guess Canadian. It's a fairly inoffensive country, still close to here etc. :rolls: Thanks, Matt. I appreciate the...umm...compliment? to my country. (I'd most likely choose American if I had to choose another nationality for pretty much the same reasons.)

I should HOPE ITZ would come say hi if he sees me and Adam at the USO ever again now that I have met him. I mean, otherwise, HOW RUDE! (Imagine that said in a Stephanie Tanner impersonation please!) :p

I am not surprised  you only told me a month ago, though I already kinda knew, I was still glad you felt comfortable telling me. I mean, even though we were drunk and all, I'm still glad :smooch:

Ummmmmmm would you be surprised if I said this news bulletin has not been broadcasted yet?

I for one would be very surprised if you had said that you had already come out to your parents. You are not nearly as "out" on MTF as you could be. You've passed up several opportunities to use the "G" word. (This is in no way a criticism.) It's definitely made me reconsider asking questions I might have otherwise asked.

Okay dude, you wanted proof of my bad style/total ugliness in high school? YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET IT.

I'll go through them with you in order and list the offenses (in my eyes). The first problem with most of them is that I was not a hot blonde. Anyway:

1) This is a group picture of my junior year English class after the girl holding the flag got back from winning a medal at the Paralympics (she would later go on in her life to win many medals and be nominated for an ESPY last year). Besides the cute wholesomeness of this picture, what stands out to you? Is it the girl wearing a shirt that says SECURITY across the front? I bet it is. :tape: And the sad thing is... I LOVED that shirt :rolls: Horrible.

2) This one is from my senior year. I don't even know where to start with this picture. Now, I did not lose weight since high school, in fact, I've gained maybe 10 pounds since that picture. You know I am still thin now. So, the question Matt, is WHY THE HELL DO I LOOK SO CHUBBY? Oh wait! I know! It's because I felt the need to layer now one ill-fitting t-shirt, but TWO. Not to mention that shape of glasses was hideoussssss on my face, they shine because of the flash, my hair is a mess. The pins on the backpack :bigcry: My jeans look like freaking MOM jeans. This is just painful.

3) This was AFTER graduation. The summer right before college. :tape: My face looks awful in this picture, let's ignore that. But... the Ramones t-shirt? :tape: I was a very big "band t-shirt" wearer. I used to wear this Ben Kweller t-shirt all the time, and I had a Hey Mercedes one too, and of course I had a Saves the Day hoodie that I *still* have, but it makes me feel 15 and emo again to put it on. Anyway, I think this picture speaks for itself!!

4) This was from sophomore year on our chorus trip cruise to the Bahamas :D Where am I... OH that pink blob with the big boobs in the middle! Why am I wearing such a long skirt? I look so matronly, and omg too much pink.

5) I don't think this needs explanation. The braces. The bandanna. My eyes shut. The bandanna. Did I mention the bandanna? I mean, in 1999-2000ish, I maintain that this *was* in fashion, but :tape: what a horrid fashion trend to follow. The only redeeming quality of this picture is that it was orange. Even the boy in the picture turned out to be a jackass ;) Oh yeah, I was a sophomore in that one.

6) This one is from freshman year. Over-sized Adidas jacket that I wore nearly EVERY DAY. :tape: It's like a freaking dress on me.

7) This picture wouldn't be so awful if the dress was not so totally ill-fitting and BORING and shapeless, and my hair was awful and boring and shapeless if my high school BFF to my right did not look so freaking GORGEOUS in this picture :rolls: It is a perfect example of hot vs. not hot. My dress is again so LONG. What an awkward length for a young girl. It is not flattering. If that dress was about 4-5 inches shorter and actually FIT me, it would have been a big improvement :) This is homecoming of my junior year, btw.

8) Here I am in the studio of 94.5 WPST :hearts: with BBMak who I loooooooooooooooved. And what do I choose to wear to meet these sexy British studs (because OMG Christian who was right behind me was sooooooo hot. They were all really nice too, I must say). I choose, THIS outfit. This is just... UGH. Ignore that my face still has braces and still was not ready for this to be taken. The tube top that is too short. Oh my god. The bandanna. I look so white-trashy :bigcry: and like, I'm not :rolls: So much misery looking at this picture.

9) Homecoming of my senior year. As you can see, THANK GOODNESS the braces are off. And also THANK GOODNESS my face has decided to be less ugly. If I were to photoshop off the still awful glasses, I would look fairly decent in this picture. However, the dress still doesn't fit well :rolls:

10) In chorus class senior year, someone decided to take a picture of me mid-song. I have a suspicion this may have made its way into the yearbook :tape: Um, of all my looks this one is not TOO bad, but as you know, it does not meet my current standard at all. I would never be caught dead in that outfit again

There you go :)

The guy is in California. And according to his Facebook is living in San Francisco. I haven't talked to him in like... 5 years though so no, he's not why I want to go to California either :rolls:

Does he list where he works in the city? PM me his name and a picture. I could probably track him down for you. :D

Matt would advise me to go to the library to save money :D He is trying to get my spending under control

ORLY? I have a suggestion...STOP GOING TO STARBUCKS!!!! Make your own coffee. It's awesome and you'll save about $100 a month. :D

I love LOST! In a self-inflicted mental anguish type of way. I wish I had a LOST party... none of my friends at home watch it  We used to have them in college, though.

Someone printed out pictures of the faces of various Lost characters, attached them to toothpicks, and stuck them in each and every one of the appetizers they brought. Good God. The pictures were very high quality, though--I'll say that much.

I usually feel pretty dumb when I watch it -- but I always have to remember nobody really understands what's going on. For such a convuluted show, I'm surprised it's lasted this long and been so successful.I don't feel dumb when I watch it because I understand when/how everything resolves when it resolves. The deferred gratification is :retard:, though.

I don't know how anyone can watch this show on a week-to-week basis. I think I'll just wait until the season/series finishes and then watch all the episodes over a weekend or something.

1) This is a group picture of my junior year English class after the girl holding the flag got back from winning a medal at the Paralympics (she would later go on in her life to win many medals and be nominated for an ESPY last year). Holyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitho lyshitholyshitholyshit. The WTF "SECURITY" shirt was the first thing that stood out to me. It made me laugh out loud. :haha: :haha: This was before I realized that you were the one wearing it. It took me a long time to realize it was you because SECURITY Girl's face doesn't really look like yours.

5) I don't think this needs explanation. The braces. The bandanna. My eyes shut. The bandanna. Did I mention the bandanna? Bah, I don't like my own coffee though  Starbucks is a necessary luxury :D

Someone printed out pictures of the faces of various Lost characters, attached them to toothpicks, and stuck them in each and every one of the appetizers they brought. Good God. The pictures were very high quality, though--I'll say that much.

Oh. my. gosh.

Holyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitholyshitho lyshitholyshitholyshit. The WTF "SECURITY" shirt was the first thing that stood out to me. :rolls: :rolls: I know, the shirt is ridiculous. And YAY for my face not looking like that anymore :D

How was he a jackass? Did you think he was hawt? Did he "get fresh" with you? :D

Oh gosh, I could write a novel on this boy. I did think he was hawt :p I had a thing for him for a good four years. Over the course of this time, since he knew I liked him and we were somewhat friends, he managed to completely destroy my self-esteem and he was able to manipulate me quite easily, and I ended up kind of losing myself. Oh, and then also when I went to college, he offered to build me a computer, because he was techy like that. I thought, great, I'll get an awesome custom made computer. LITTLE DID I KNOW that he had installed in it, some sort of server and he was using my university's high speed internet connection to distribute bootleg movies. I mentioned wanting to see a certain movie and he was like, "It's on your computer" and I was like "HUH?" Because I had no idea. :tape: Oh, also supposedly he got arrested for drug dealing, but I am not 100% sure about that rumor. What else can I say about him... ummm he used to tell me I was fat all the time which is probably why I *still* look at myself and think I'm fat. Basically to sum it up, probably about 95% of any regrets I have from high school can be traced back to him somehow.

This one is my favorite.

That is by far the best example of tragic style.

I would be a bit...freaked out I think  Did you eat Claire? :spit:

I don't feel dumb when I watch it because I understand when/how everything resolves when it resolves. The deferred gratification is :retard:, though.

I just have this constant feeling when something new is introduced of "Am I supposed to get this BECAUSE I DON'T"

I don't know how anyone can watch this show on a week-to-week basis. I think I'll just wait until the season/series finishes and then watch all the episodes over a weekend or something.

So you just go to premiere parties but don't actually follow the show? I will say in recent years it's become very compelling where I *have* to know what happens next. I almost gave up on it during Season 2. I absolutely cannot wait until the last season finishes so I can watch all the seasons in a row. I think it'll be a lot easier to catch things and piece all the hints/clues together... I think it'll have a lot of replay value, unlike, say, 24.

I must comment on each of these however :D With the caveat that I will point out someone who is CLEARLY WORSE THAN YOU in each photo!

Where did you get the SECURITY shirt? Were you a HALL MONITOR?! Anyway, who is the half-cut-off dude in back of you? He seems scary looking  Were you there as security to keep him in line?

This was before college? OMG you look so little and young there. I must give you credit now for totally getting your hair-did in a much better manner. You know, I was going to jokingly ask if you wore band t-shirts a while back :haha: Anyway, I think Sunburn Sally two away from you looks far worse! She looks like she was working on a farm all day!

4) This was from sophomore year on our chorus trip cruise to the Bahamas : D Where am I... OH that pink blob with the big boobs in the middle! Why am I wearing such a long skirt? I look so matronly, and omg too much pink.

OMG that girl all the way to your right -- her arm is the size of your head :o The girl to her left looks like Super Dweeb too (I hope these aren't like, your two best friends everrr or something).

5) I don't think this needs explanation. The braces. The bandanna. My eyes shut. The bandanna. Did I mention the bandanna? OH GOSH I remember the bandanna phase, JP was actually into them but I think well before '99 - did the girl phase come after the boys? You look like you're ready to go Spring Cleaning here :D Anyway, JerkyMcJerkson can stop posing with his Quiksilver gear : lol:

6) This one is from freshman year. Over-sized Adidas jacket that I wore nearly EVERY DAY. : tape: It's like a freaking dress on me.

This one was my favorite, I started laughing outloud at work and had to close MTF  Not you, but how the sleeves are like HUMONGOUS , like how could you walk around in that without tripping over your arms? Anyway, the girl all the way to the left looks like a tree. And the difference is that she cannot take THAT off like a jacket! Also, I happened to notice the other girl's Tommy Hilfiger shirt, I remember the days when Tommy was the *it* brand to have on :D

7) This picture wouldn't be so awful if the dress was not so totally ill-fitting and BORING and shapeless, and my hair was awful and boring and shapeless if my high school BFF to my right did not look so freaking GORGEOUS in this picture : rolls: It is a perfect example of hot vs. not hot. Where is YOUR corsage? :awww: Anyway, you certainly look better than the girl on the other side of you, she does NOT LOOK HAPPY TO BE THERE. She looks like someone from a Robert Palmer video :haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcATvu5f9vE

8) Here I am in the studio of 94.5 WPST :hearts: with BBMak who I loooooooooooooooved. OMG there is one BBMak song I absolutely love :o I think "Outta My Heart" :haha: I cannot BELIEVE your mother let you out of the house baring your mid-riff like late 90s Britney based on the other outfits you've shown us  At least you do not have a funny eye closed thing going on like the girl next to you!

9) Homecoming of my senior year. As you can see, THANK GOODNESS the braces are off. And also THANK GOODNESS my face has decided to be less ugly. If I were to photoshop off the still awful glasses, I would look fairly decent in this picture. However, the dress still doesn't fit well : rolls:

It might just be the picture, but I don't think you look bad here! You can't reallyyyyy see an ill-fitting dress there, maybe it's hidden well? More distressing is the Charlie's Angels pose AND THE GIRL WHO CANNOT DO IT PROPERLY IN THE MIDDLE

10) In chorus class senior year, someone decided to take a picture of me mid-song. Half-full for sure. I know I'm like 500x hotter than this now!! Actually when I look at these I cannot even believe that there were boys who had crushes on me when I looked this crappy. It was probably because I'm like, a really nice person and all, but like... I know boys liked me and I look at these and wonder wtf WHY?

The girl in the gray that you are dissing was one of my BFFs :rolls: we still somewhat speak too, but she grew into herself too ;) The girl all the way to the left WAS one of my BFFs and like, we are Farmville friends ( ) but we do not talk ever. We had a big falling out. She's getting married soon.

OH GOSH I remember the bandanna phase, JP was actually into them but I think well before '99 - did the girl phase come after the boys? You look like you're ready to go Spring Cleaning here : Anyway, JerkyMcJerkson can stop posing with his Quiksilver gear : lol:

I should show you some other pictures of him :p He stopped looking like this and soon become Mr. Punk Rock.

This one was my favorite, I started laughing outloud at work and had to close MTF :hug Not you, but how the sleeves are like HUMONGOUS , like how could you walk around in that without tripping over your arms? :lol Anyway, the girl all the way to the left looks like a tree. And the difference is that she cannot take THAT off like a jacket! Also, I happened to notice the other girl's Tommy Hilfiger shirt, I remember the days when Tommy was the *it* brand to have on :

You keep picking on Kristen :rolls: She's the girl in the gray from the other picture :rolls:

Where is YOUR corsage? :awww Anyway, you certainly look better than the girl on the other side of you, she does NOT LOOK HAPPY TO BE THERE. She looks like someone from a Robert Palmer video :haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcATvu5f9vE

I did not have a date  :rolls:  at the Robert Palmer video comment.

OMG there is one BBMak song I absolutely love :o I think "Outta My Heart" :haha I cannot BELIEVE your mother let you out of the house baring your mid-riff like late 90s Britney based on the other outfits you've shown us :lol At least you do not have a funny eye closed thing going on like the girl next to you!

Those girls were annoying. They didn't even LIKE BBMak. I was all like "OMG MY FAVORITE SONG IS GHOST OF YOU AND ME." and was like.. talking to them about THEM, so the three of them mostly just paid attention to me. I told them how like, 2 weeks later I was going to see them with Destiny's Child at a fair and the other girls were just like, "Um can you guys get us Britney tickets?" And BBMak was like "no, so what's your favorite song from our album?" and they were like "umm well we really want to see Britney" :p

The glasses are pretty bad. Adam would never have sold me those!

I think it's the fact that the Jeans are all the way at Urkel-esque heights here, yikes. What is with the PREP shirt in back of you? Is girlfriend trying to steal your SECURITY thunder?

That was like back in the day when people actually wore jeans that went to their real waist ;) Like, that is where my waist is :rolls: And ew that chick totally is.

I would be a bit...freaked out I think  Did you eat Claire? :spit:

I didn't eat of those appetizers--on principle.

I just have this constant feeling when something new is introduced of "Am I supposed to get this BECAUSE I DON'T"
I learned long ago to accept that I would not get stuff right away.

So you just go to premiere parties but don't actually follow the show?
I follow the show. I've seen every single episode exactly once. I typically download five or six episodes at a time and run right through them over a weekend. If I feel like I've forgotten major plot elements, I read summaries of previous episodes on Wikipedia.

I am not accustomed to watching one episode, waiting an entire week, and watching a new episode. That's not very satisfying. I think I'll wait several weeks before watching the show again.

I will say in recent years it's become very compelling where I *have* to know what happens next. I almost gave up on it during Season 2. I absolutely cannot wait until the last season finishes so I can watch all the seasons in a row. I think it'll be a lot easier to catch things and piece all the hints/clues together... I think it'll have a lot of replay value, unlike, say, 24.I am not one of those viewers/fans who has to get every single thing out of a show. It's not worth it for me re-watch some of the earlier seasons. There are some truly  characters--Shannon, Boone, Charlie (Drive Shaft = :retard:), Claire, Rose, et al.

I can pinpoint the show's zenith: Sawyer calling Hurley "Grimace." :haha: :haha: :haha:

Or how about Michael? I can't believe I forgot to mention him. "They took my son!...They took my son!...THEY TOOK MY SON!...THEY TOOK MY SON!...THEY TOOK MY SON!!!!!"

Calm down, jackass! We get it. We all fucking get it. You lost a son you never really even liked. We all got problems, FFS! Jack has an out-of-control messiah complex, Sun is stuck with a husband she wanted to leave, Hurley is morbidly obese, Claire's a single mother whose best romantic prospect is a drug-addled asshat, etc.

Okay Matt, on a scale from 1-10 please rate the following YouTube video. All you need to know is that I watched this live on TV when it happened, so we will pretend you were living in my flat with me and my roomie and were watching our like 3 channels on our TV that got horrible reception, and you saw this. Rate it and give me your reaction please :D

Do you have keychains on your keys? How many? What are they? :)

I will watch the video when I get home, but this one I can answer -

I have 4!

-I have my Stop & Shop discount card
- I have 2 Toyota-related things on it. The first is a Toyota City Advantage Discount Card that you use when you go to the dealership to have service/work done. I almost never go there, I have a local mechanic I go to for everything. It came on the keys when I got my car.
- I have a Red plastic "1" key chain, also from Toyota, with the name, location and phone number of my local Toyota where I bought my car. Again... not something I really need, I guess I kept them on out of habit.
- Last one is a SF Giants Spring Training keychain. When we went to Arizona in 2008, we went to a bunch of Spring Training games - the Giants play in Scottsdale. It's round, and is black and orange for their colors and says "Spring Training - Scottsdale, AZ '08''. As you know I'm not a Giants fan, but I love this keychain and it reminds me of the awesome trip.

02-05-2010, 12:23 AM
Fastforward four or five years. Your sister is now a twentysomething student at Swarthmore or NYU or Amherst or wherever. She has a serious romantic partner. Who could they be? :D I will include pictures to show what her romantic partners might look like....

(a) Omar Sabzevary – 23 year old graduate student studying International Relations at your sister’s college. He is an Iranian national. He loves America and wants to remain in this country, but he worries that his visa will not be renewed after he finishes his degree and he will be forced to move back home. Omar’s parents are devout Muslims. He observes many Islamic customs and traditions, but he is not that religious.

http://www.payvand.com/news/09/mar/Iranian-man-in-Dubai-by-Mahtab-Farid.jpg

(b) Jonathan Laurent – 21 year old college student from West Virginia. John’s biological father has been in prison of all his life (robbery and murder convictions). John’s stepfather is a coal miner and his mother is a housewife, and they’re dirt poor. In fact, John’s family is, for lack of a better expression, white trash. John speaks with a heavy drawl and sounds like a rube, but he’s like Good Will Hunting when it comes to math. He got a full ride to your sister’s university.

http://i.ytimg.com/vi/JQf7O3GeHVk/0.jpg

(c) Chet McMasters – He’s 22 year old college student from Rhode Island, and his WASPy family is loaded. His hobbies include yachting and tennis. He’s tall, good looking, and you get the distinct impression that he’s something of a womanizer. It’s obvious to anyone who spends time with both Chet and your sister that Chet is only nominally interested in your sister.

http://www.dragonmojo.com/uploaded_images/stangable-720989.jpg

(d) Kim Yi Jin – South Korean student studying abroad of indeterminate age. You can’t tell whether he’s 20 or 30. His English is very, very limited.

http://img2.scoop.co.nz/stories/images/0712/9ed7678b20ed611df827.jpeg

(e) Aaron Glickstein – 25 year old man who works at his stepfather’s chemist’s shop in London, England. He hopes to inherit the business one day. His family is Jewish, but he’s not that observant. He likes most sports, particularly football (“soccer”) and tennis. His fashion sense is extremely dubious, but he is congenial and kindhearted. He met your sister when she studied abroad in London. Aaron has expressed a desire to live in England all his life, so, at the moment his relationship with your sister is very, very ‘long distance.’

http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/8034/copyofadamcrocs.jpg

(f) Dontrelle Johnson – 22 year old black student at your sister’s college. He gets exceptionally high grades, and it is likely that he will attend a prestigious law school within the next two years. He is well-mannered, well-spoken, handsome, charming, etc. He was raised by his late grandmother.

http://static-p3.fotolia.com/jpg/00/09/51/78/400_F_9517875_Okwmuhkk43mljzvn9ejniClLikjCxOdB.jpg

(g) Mark Oswald – 24 year old white guy. He works at Best Buy. He has a somewhat slovenly appearance and his five favorite things in life are: Call of Duty 4, anime, getting :retard: tattoos, listening to shitty music like Linkin Park, and repeating the latest South Park catchphrase. He has very, very little ambition and direction in life.

You don't need a picture. You know the type.

(h) Lisa Fisher – 21 year old Women’s Studies major at your sister’s college. She’s intelligent and nice.

http://www.southcountry.org/highschool/images/NewsReleasesImages/Champlin-CoVal-BHS09%20-CoVal.jpg

(I found that by googling "college valedictorian lesbian." :haha:)

(i) Claudette – She just has the one name because she’s enigmatic and pretentious. She’s a forty year old French sculptress who is financially secure and likes to smoke those long Cruella De Ville cigarettes. She divides her time between her home in Nice and her loft in Manhattan.

http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i49/blondeheroine/Cruella-De-Vil-B-web.jpg

(j) Tiger Woods – He has an open relationship with his wife, Elin. He obviously has no plans to marry your sister. Your sister is fine with this because OMG IT’S TIGER WOODS.

http://thefastertimes.com/famehype/files/2009/12/tiger_woods.jpg

(k) Alex Rodriguez – He’s giving your family badass Yankees seats while he dates your sister.

http://cdn.faniq.com/images/blog/166986e8075e1010a5b8e2adb8dffda3.jpg

(l) David Ortiz – Yup—of the Red Sox. He just broke up with his wife.

http://ladiesdotdotdot.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/ortiz1.jpg

(m) Rex Ryan – The enormously arrogant coach of the New York Jets. Let’s say he recently divorced his wife.

http://www.waltsense.com/storage/articles/20090612_rex_ryan.jpg

(n) Jesus Christ – Your sister wants to become a “bride of Christ” (i.e. nun).

http://krbi.org/images/Jheals.jpg

(He's the one in white.)

(o) Jesús Perez – 31 year old reformed drug dealer and former member of a Puerto Rican street gang. He has turned his back on his once lawless lifestyle, found Christ, and he now makes his living by speaking to inner city youths about avoiding drugs and gangs.

http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2006/02/11/arts/Explorer184.jpg

(p) Gordon Gekko – Okay, not the fictional character—just some fortysomething “greed is good” Wall Street investor type.

http://wallscometumblingdown.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/gordon-gekko.jpg

Who would your parents most want to see your sister seriously date out of everyone on this list? Please rank them from best to worst (from your parents’ perspectives), and give reasons for your rankings. Don’t waste your time thinking about how realistic it is that your sister would actually date any one of these people. Just assume that she is crazy about them.

3. Velma - You are not a cartoon character. Your name is not Adam, you do not love orange. You do not have a bowl-haircut

My Parents:

1. Dontrell Johnson. Are you kidding me. Smart, great future, and my mom would LOVE him and be charmed by him and talk about his Grandmother non-stop with him  I don't think they would care at all he was black, which is what I think you were looking for.

2. Aaron Glickstein. They wouldn't really care he was Jewish I don't think. The only concern would obviously be the long-distance thing, and they would definitely speak their mind to my sister on that, but that wouldn't stop my parents from approving of him. He seems like he would fit in well with our family, have a lot to talk about/in common etc :p

3. Chet McMasters. I think he would charm them! It depends on how receptive they would be on his "image" that you mention though (i.e. womanizer, not really interested in her) but I feel like they would liek him and approve, at least initially.

4. Alex Rodriguez :haha: I think my parents would not like her dating someone much older, but I think they would get over it for A-Rod and we would love the seats :D

5. Jonathan Laurent. I have gone back and forth on this one, because my brother had a white-trash girlfriend and I feel like my parents initially did not give her a chance (they ended up being right about her, she was awful and psychotic etc) but it makes me hesitant to rank him higher because of that experience. They would definitely judge him initially, but as opposed to some of the options left, would approve quicker than them.

6. Kim Yi Jun. Don't think they would like how mysterious he was and that it's so hard for him to communicate with my sister (and them). However, it's probably something that can be improved, so he gets #6.

7. Mark Oswald. They would not like his lack of direction and think he was weird. Based on your description alone, I can't evaluate other merits and rank him here.

8. Jesus Christ. I think they would be confused but at the end of the day they would respect this life decision and support it.

9. Lisa Fisher. Well, I don't think they would approve, but this is more a "not as bad" choice in their mind compared to the rest of the choices. I think they'd rather she get involved with a normal girl, than say, an ex-drug dealer.

10. Omar Sabzevary. They would worry about his motives (the visa thing) and probably think he was a terrorist at first :rolls: JUST KEEPING IT REAL. I do think they would warm up to him with time.

11. Gordon Gecko - I think they would think he was a creepy middle-age dude preying on much-too-young girls and would keep telling my sister that and not let it go

12. David Ortiz - See above, but with ex-wife baggage drama too  They would clearly tell her she was just a rebound :)

13. Rex Ryan - See above, just no points for celebrity.

14. Claudette - They would think she was mean and too old! Plus smoking = not hot.

15. Tiger Woods. They would not like the open relationship aspect and worry about her since Tiger will sleep with 24 trashy hookers at the same time.

16. Jesus Perez. Just no. I know you should give people the benefit of the doubt and that they change etc but I think my parents would be terrified and it would be nearly impossible for him to overcome his past to them.

I will do mine for her in a bit :p

I don't know what chalking an ID is either. Tell us, Matt.

You basically take colored pencils and change the identification numbers (year of birth etc) on your license so that it looks like you're born in a different year. I have no idea how many State drivers licenses you could do this for (I know you couldn't for NJ because they were laminated) but you could do it on NY ones until they changed their design mid-way through last decade.

3. Aaron Glickstein: He's not hot enough for her :p The distance thing is a bit worrying but I still think he is a solid option. My sister would no doubt shape him up in the fashion department too.

4. Alex Rodriguez. SORRY KEEPING IT REAL I WANT THOSE TICKETS :rocker2:

5. Omar Sabzevary - I feel bad for him :awww: I would try not to stereotype him but it might be hard at first to be honest. The visa thing would probably make me suspicious.

6. Kim Yi Jin - I would like him to turn out like Jin from LOST and learn English and become awesome :yeah:

7. Lisa Fisher - I obviously would have no problem if she started a lebsian relationship, but I would rather she selected from the man pool of this list first to avoid the drama.

8. Chet McMasters - Yuck, sleeze bag, but not as bad as the rest of the options.

9. Gordon Gekko - TOO OLD

10. Claudette - She seems crazy but at some level I think she would be fun to hang out with

11. Tiger Woods - Well, at the end of the day it's still Tiger.

It just so happens that I have some questions for you!

I have been at a seminar for two days. We had to do several "icebreaker" type activities. I would like you (and Jess - I've already posted them in her spotlight - and maybe Adam) to do them as well.

The first one is easy.
1. Choose an adjective starting with a "m" that describes you. Follow it with your name. (i.e. M____ Matt)

The second one has two parts. Here's Part A:

1. What is your favourite animal? Include three adjectives to describe the animal.
2. What is your favourite colour? Include three adjectives to describe the colour.
3. Picture a white room. It's totally white without doors or windows. Describe the room with three adjectives.
4. Picture a road. What three adjectives describe the road?
5. What is your favourite body of water? (It can be a river, sea, your bathtub, anything like that.) Include three adjectives to describe the body of water.

I will ask Part B of this question after you answer Part A.

That's it for now.

SO, I did use "Roll in the hay" last night :rolls: After most of the people left, it was about 2am or so and there were like 6 of us and we moved to a different room. Two of the people are a couple, and we sort of realized they were missing so someone goes "where did x and y go"? and so I go "Maybe they went to go have a roll in the hay  "

Mind you, I was so wasted, but I was SO EXCITED TO THROW THAT IN THERE :D It didn't like...set the room ablaze in mass hysterical laughter or confusion or anything but the others knew what I meant and totally agreed :D

As for the sexual term I didn't know, we played a naughty version of Apples to Apples and played in teams. On one of our cards was a random word that I didn't know and I was again SO EXCITED TO BE EDUCATED AND SHARE A NEW SLUT TERM WITH THE GROUP but it turns out it was like, a Jewish food item :rolls:

Nice. Did anyone crack a smile at the remark? What made you go with "roll in the hay" first?

I want to see if it really sounds like it could be a slut term. :p

Was it "kugel"?

Jess: That girl totally dresses like a kugel!
Pumpkin: Well, I do hear that she's always good for a romp in the sack.

It fits perfectly.

Nice. Did anyone crack a smile at the remark? What made you go with "roll in the hay" first?

Yes :D The one person I really said it to totally smiled so it was worth it :D I felt like it was more appropriate at that time, because the general feeling in the room at that time was that if they are going at it, it could be anywhere, so I didn't want to limit it to the sack :D

Who is this person? Is this someone with whom you'd want to make sexy time? OMG, how awesome would it be if "roll in the hay" started a conversation that led to hayrolling?

Hello Adam! Welcome back :wavey: :woohoo:

a) Whilst watching Elena Baltacha play in the US Open qualifying, could you ever imagine she'd be closing in on the worlds top 50?

To be honest, I imagined she would be ranked #1 by now, I guess she has had some injuries or something to slow her down! I'm glad she's finally become consistent ;)

b) Have you been following Elena Baltacha's recent form?

Actually I have, I don't think YOU were refreshing the Midland website every 60 seconds for updates now were you?

c) Do you think it's possible Elena Baltacha could remain unbeaten for the rest of the year?

Possible? Isn't this a sure thing  Well, now that Keothavong is back, I guess Elena is at risk of losing a match :(

d) Maria Sharapova has won 1 match this year. Elena Baltacha has won 14. Would it be fair to say that Elena Baltacha is 14 times better than Maria Sharapova?

Yes, and Maria Kirilenko is 10x better than (Elena Baltacha + Maria Sharapova) for beating Sharapova  Didn't Baltacha lose to Dokic this year though? :spit:

e) How many fistpumps would you estimate Elena Baltacha dished out in Midland last week?

Final = 5-7 6-2 6-4, 17 winning games for Baltacha x 3 fistpumps a game = 51 :D

f) Do you think Elena Baltacha has the fiercest and most genuine fist pump in tennis?

You clearly did not see Kirifierce pump and roar in Melbourne:

And a USO 2009 classic:

Elena is #2 though!

g) If you put a steel ball in the way of an Elena Baltacha fistpump, do you think she would feel pain?

No, but the ball would when it is broken in half :D

h) Who would you say the ATP equivalent of Elena Baltacha is?

BRB, scanning the ATP rankings for a loser Brit wonderfully hot, chronically injured but most talented Brit

i) Where does Elena Baltacha rank in your favourites list?

Somewhere below MK and above Justine Henin. Interpret that as you wish :rolls:

j) How much would you cherish a photo with Elena Baltacha?

I'd rip down the poster I made of me and MK from my wall and replace it!

k) Out of 10, how do you rate Elena Baltacha's looks? :inlove:

10, I'd go straight for some Elena!

l) What do you think of the nickname "Bally"? Can you come up with anything better?

Bally is OK, I would say ChaCha is ultimate fierce. Although it makes her sound like a dog. :o

m) Do you think this is the most extensive Elena Baltacha questionaire that has ever been produced? :sport:

No, I'm sure the LTA is actively working to gain public opinion of one Ms. ChaCha by sending out surveys so that when she is seeded at Wimbledon they can give the public what they want!

Did you write Asian Anne's Wikipedia entry?

Anne's greatest strength is her powerful forehand which she uses to try to dominate play from the baseline and she adds as much topspin as possible to increase the probability of the ball landing in court.[16] As well as her forehand, she can rely on her first-serve to get her some easy points as she often has a high first-serve percentage and usually wins the majority of points on her first-serve. She rarely has a match where she serves no aces at all and in her second round match at the 2008 US Open she served a total of seven aces throughout the match. These factors all combine to give Anne an advantage going into every service game.

She had an ace against Sprem :rocker2:
