:woohoo::).....Where can I find the career best entry ranking btw?
I cant find it any other place than ITF Men, but you have to search the names......
Ever since ATP trashes it:rolleyes:, it doesnt seem as important anymore.
Still, job well done:worship:, good job reaching top 10, esp. with a gold.

Marat moves up by default

Houston may still be a possibility.

I really don't understand how can Marat still be on top ten Indesit and even move up to 12 in ATP entry ranking with his crappy results...amazing!!!
I don't know...maybe top players around him have crappy results too this year :o ;)

That, and Nalby and Ferrero had massive points to defend from last year's USO (semis and finals, respectively). Plus, the players behind Marat aren't doing enough to move ahead.

Chile's second top ten, hope he can keep it, but he has a hell of points to defend the rest of the season but anyway it was one of his goals this season, well done Nico

FInally. He's only been on the brink all season. Remember when Gaudio shut him out at RG? Ouch.

Anyways, it may be short lived since he defends so much at Madrid, but we'll see. Either way, he accomplished it :)

I heard commentators discussing how it is a shame no top 10 players were in the olympic final

Chloe le Bopper

None were ;)

True but the way they were discussing it is Massu/Fish are the type of players who will be lucky to break into the top 50

Chloe le Bopper

Yeah, I understood. I was just being difficult :D

I'm not surprised. Commentators blow. Since there was an American in the finals we didnt' get that so much over here.

After Madrid points come off.:bolt: I doubt he'll be a consistant top 10 player, and next year he has absolutely no shot of defending his Athens points so he'll drop even more. He better start padding his rank with some solid results from now untill summer 05.

Maybe...

but.. he dont have to revalidate too many point in the first half of the next year..

and now that he has reach one of his goals .. he will start playing much better..without pressure

Massu just got a wild card into TOP 10 or what?

relevant bump seeing as massu recently lost his worst top 10 player of the last decade to monaco.

Massu is better than Boredo IMO. Olympic gold with everyone taking part is easily better than the Hamburg 500 Boredo lucked his way to.

Did Troicki get in? He's as bad too if so.

I'm no Robredo fan but he's been a solid player at the slams throughout his career.

17 fourth rounds and 5 quarter-finals

Massu:

1 fourth round and zero quarter-finals.

no comparison there at all.

And no, thankfully Troicki never made it.

For those wondering what Massu is up to these days, he's doing commentary on Telemundo during the Olympics. Also, he cut his hair

The way in which he faded away was amazing and tough to match, I mean he's not even that old and has been losing to Challenger and Future level players for the past 5 years or so.
