The tournament is still promoting Haas's participation.
The press release announcing the field mentions two available wild cards so maybe the other already went to Haas.

Haas gets a WC and will be first seed, let's see if that motivates him...

I'd like to see Haas, Blake, Dent and Gulbis in the semis (considering the other players they really have no excuse not to get that far... well Dent could and probably lose to someone before then, so if he does I'd like to see Fish in his place).

I've never seen much of Chardy playing (and I won't for a while cause this tournament won't be aired on TV here).

How does Spadea get a WC at this stage of his career?? Anyway, if Harrison makes it in I'd bet on him getting one for IW.

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-tennis-rafter-022110,0,6552472.storyRyan's hope; Levine injured

Another Aussie hopeful Carsten Ball was dispatched by blossoming American teen Ryan Harrison, 2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in a second-round qualifying match. If Harrison defeats Izak Van der Merwe Monday he will earn one of the four spots open for qualifiers.

Harrison, 17, actually turned down a wild card from tournament director Mark Baron because the Louisiana native wants to get in on his own merit.

"Wild cards are gifts. You didn't earn your way in,'' said Harrison, who trains at Bollettieri's in Bradenton. "It could be helpful at times but for me right now it's important for me to play matches. I'm confident I could make it through qualies.''

Harrison's made it through to the main draw in Memphis last week at the expense of Boca Raton pro Jesse Levine, who had to retire early in the third set because of a partially torn groin.

"It's not serious and I should be fine for Indian Wells, Sunrise and Miami,'' said Levine, ranked 117th. "Ryan's a great player with a big serve and great volleys who works really hard.''
