Was the first episode the Simpson's Christmas special? I remember watching that (and loving it) with my family. Who would have known that the show would become so significant?

sorry for my ignorance, i like Simpsons a lot, but i just watched it recently, but this show doesn't seem fit for kids (many violence scenes as dolphins killing human, Simpson's baby used her milk bottle to attack people), is it for adults only :confused::wavey:

I think the Simpsons was always intended as a cartoon for adults (or at least teenagers). Much of the humor goes over the head of younger children.

the dolphins stuff was hilarious, and I think it was an Halloween episode, which would explain the killing and the blood.
