Btw - one day I will really lose my temper with certain people on MTF (no Jase - not the person you think :p ) - and it will not be a pretty sight

And believe me Jase - you would have to go a long way and change an awful lot to stoop as low as some people on this Forum :p :D They always say women are way worse than men for bitching and being unpleasant, - and they're probably right.

:rocker2: Yes baby yes!!! And well i would never change an awful lot and stoop as low as those people :D.

 I agree, women bitch too much :p

Yes indeed they do - evidently according to one particular one, I talk about the man I live with too much  Well I guess at least I have one :p

But anyway - serves me right for "lurking" - someone told me I should have a laugh and read some of it - and it was definately quite funny - but I won't waste my time again. Talking to you here is way much nicer.

As for Alex - yes - he keeps me sane (well sort of :o ) and stops me being bored enough to search MTF for 4-5 year old posts to bitch about :D Still - as I said - enough :p Or we'll get as bad as them :tape:

The board has changed ownership since then. That was back when Tangy called Rosie a ****. One of my fond board memories. :) :)

Dirk was (is) a very disturbed person. I worry about his mental health when his adored ninja retires. Oh. All this was before my time. Sounds like it was an...interesting place back then.

Sorry to interrupt.

I have just read this

Blog - Groovin' to the beat
One way to find out what kind of guy your favorite player is to take a glimpse at their musical taste.

During the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Hinal here in Barcelona the players walk on to the court to music of their own choosing. Curious as to what each player wanted for their introduction song. Wonder no more – here’s the list.

The Spanish team:

# Rafael Nadal asked for “Live is Life,” the biggest hit from the Austrian band Opus
# David Ferrer rocked out to “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC
# Fernando Verdasco selected Dixie Rock in “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon
# Feliciano Lopez went for “Peter Pan” by El Canto Loco
# And captain Albert Costa was apparently expecting to feel lightheaded from a victorious weekend, so he picked “Vertigo” by U2.

The Czech team:

# Radek Stepanek walked on court to “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor
# Tomas Berdych has edgier taste with “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns & Roses
# Jan Hajek went to the court to face Nadal to “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay
# Lukas Dlouhy was all about “Numb” by Linkin Park featuring Jay Z
# And captain Jaroslav Navratil chose the darker “Streets of Philadelpia” by Bruce Springsteen

Betty, it's from PD. Of course many people can't understand it. Why bother? I think he likes it like that.

Indeed, the uglification of the ACC is one of the world's greatest travesties. The process of making the ACC ugly is one of the world's greatest...hmm...travesties...shams/grotesque similarities/distortions, etc. I don't know if that's much help. :o

Which one, the swords and sandals masterpiece, or one of Sylv's outstanding 90s actioners?

The moment when I knew it was great was when they're reviewing old footage of Spartan's life as a cop in the 20th century, and they see a clip of him carrying a little girl on his shoulder as he walks away from a burning building. Journalist: "John Spartan, do you really think it was necessary to destroy a $7 million mall to rescue a child whose ransom was a mere $25 000?" Little girl: "Fuck you, lady!" Firstly, Linda  sorry to hear about your loss

She is. She is above everything.

But seriously I liked her better when she was sniffing Nalby's underwear and bashing anyone who dared like Hewitt or Roddick than I do now when she is so weird about Miljan and Alex and is it Tursunov? Yeah. I think so. Oh, and Nole could put an ax in someone's head and she would say that we can't really criticize him because he works so hard and he deserves to let off steam etc. etc. /rant

Why do you think I hang out here? :rolls:

Alo :wavey:

So, what have I missed? I've been a superhero the last few days :D so much so I treated myself to a round of golf and a day at the beach yesterday with 2 Yanks here. Needless to say, I kicked their asses :sport:

Did I really lose in the ACC already? WTF?

What else have I missed? How is everyone here? :wavey:

Adam :worship: :worship: I have a dilemma. I realize you went to Africa so that I couldn't send you a Hanukkah card, because you hate cards, blah blah blah. BUT I HAVE A HANUKKAH CARD FOR YOU ANYWAY :( So my options are either to mail it to your house and it will be there waiting to brighten your day when you return home :worship: or... actually that's the only option. SO LOOK FORWARD TO THAT. :)

As if I would even lurk in a chat thread where she posts. I tried the Djoko blog chat for a time because I like some of the posters there, but  I couldn't take it. I never go there anymore.

The AI thread will be making a comeback soon, that's where all the best Nole people chat anyway :)

I only go into the secret chat thread to close it when it gets to 5000 posts, say you're welcome when they all say "Thanks Jess :worship:" and then I leave until time to close it again :p

i like it Sjengster, you come in here and find a way to mention one of Nadal's most famous roastings - with star here ;)

rampant Fedtarding

Rafa fangirls don't care about the Tsonga match given what happened in the rest of 2008, and at AO 2009.

Time is a healer, Mikey.

tbh the match that really enrages me from AO '08 is MonoFed's loss to Nole. Mind you, without that loss, the year's worth of joy I got from Haha Nole and My First Grand Slam etc would not have come to pass.

Laconic, it's iconic! Well, not really, but I just wanted to say that.

None of the movies since Gladiator have been successful in doing classical stories, the greatest ever line from a film review was about Oliver Stone's Alexander, which said: "There are many highlights in this movie, unfortunately they're all in Colin Farrell's hair."

The Gladiator wasn't all that successful either if you are just talking about history. I guess it was popular.

I have trouble with historical movies.

You know, thinking about it, there are few matches that stick in my mind as heartbreaking over all the years I've watched tennis.

With Rafa, I always feel that he's won so much and given me so much joy in watching him that the disappointment of any one loss wears off quickly. I would be sad if he were to slip into a mid level player right now, but I've had plenty of fun anyway.

Ah, Alexander Dumbass (as described by an illiterate inmate in The Shawshank Redemption). I must read those, I enjoyed the Ladybird version of The Three Musketeers greatly when I was a kid. The books are quite tongue in cheek and very funny -- esp. the first one. I can see what he (Lester)was going for because some of the book is nearly slapstick, but he overdid it. It's hard to get the right combination of archness and tragedy. The latter ones are less light hearted. Maybe it's because the musketeers got old.

I don't have Kris's album, and apparently no one else in the world really has it either. I read an article that it had the worst first week sales of any Idol winner ever. :tape: I find it hard to believe he sold less albums than Fantasia or Ruben Studdard or Taylor Hicks :tape:

Yeah. Our lab is in Flagstaff. I talked to the administrator today, and she said half the staff was gone. It snowed here in the afternoon. I expect it to be worse tomorrow, and I have to drive 55 miles up to a town that's at 7000 feet. I hope it's not too bad. The snow was very, very dry. Like styrofoam.
