Gilles Simon is meant to be going (http://www.brisbaneinternational.com.au/2009/11/gilles-simon-adds-his-name-to-the-list).

it's a news from two weeks ago : since then Simon said that it depended on the evolution of his injury (he might even miss the Australian Open).

Here you can see he's not on the entry-list : I think it means he doesn't have good news for his injury and doesn't expect being recovered to play Brisbane.

If ever he was recovered he could ask for a WC, maybe.

Ouch! Thomaz only one position for getting a seed. But hopefully he'll be here and not on a Sao Paulo Challenger. Any news if Querrey confirmed that he will be good for this tournment?

The organizers are desperate for him to be here and miss Brisbane, using the fact that if he is champion, probably will be in the top32 to the AO.

Monfils is so athletic and strong. If he just stopped doing ridiculous slides on hard courts he might be able to make it through a season OK for once. He had an excellent Doha last year (upset Nadal in quarters).

Excellent :)

IMO Kubot won't play here anyway! He prefers Doha and he is not on a Doubles Entry List!
However in a interview for TOK FM he said that after Christmas he is flying to Australia. So maybe he will play in Brisbane. I think that the field in Brisbane, although in Doha they have Roger and Rafa, is more dificult. I would play Doha.

Talented Queenslander John Millman's excellent form this summer has earned him a wildcard into next month's Brisbane International tennis tournament.

Tennis Australia's national selectors granted Millman and Davis Cup regular Carsten Ball wildcards into the men's field leaving just one wildcard remaining, which is expected to be announced this week.

Shame that Zeballos pulled out of this tournament. Does anyone know why? He needs to play on ATP tournaments as much as possible. And as he like hard courts it was a good chance to earn good points and play in these level of tournaments.

Baghdatis is winning that.

He really has the potentials. He was interviewed 4 days ago by a Greek-Cypriot newspaper and he stated that from now on he will go in every tournament and fight for it. But he will not get disappointed if the good results dont come early... This is good for him as he will not get frustrated if australia journey will not give me a lot of points.

I think that Infantino is so close to him that he really boost his confidence and if you ask me i really believe when it comes to technical abilities he is a top 15 for sure..

p.s marcos has a lot of Greek-Cypriot and greek migrant fans all over australia...just remember australia open final in 2006:):)

yeahh mate and you have to considered that he played nalbandian just after 3 hours he beat monaco..

i will tell you this...marco's mind was lost for a year or so after those injuries...he came to a point that he really believed he couldnt return..

but somehow after july davis cup he realised one thing...his return would be made via challengers and not by wild cards cause he had to make some continuing victories to boost his ego...

and he started from vancouver then st remy, tashkend and proved him self a little bit in stockholm.....BUT the match that really turned his mind was that beijiing match with rafa...when you come so close to beat no.2 (even not at his best) you really start to believe in your self again
