It's just the angle of the camera.
Of course the court has the same lenght comparing to other ones.

It is wider too. Didn't you notice.
Every court is different. Some courts have grass on one side and clay on the other. :worship:

First, I thought they were only slowing down courts so that Rafa can win. Now I realize that ATP is also resorting to shortening and widening the courts. They really will stop at nothing:fiery::mad:

They're widening and lengthen automatically to keep Federer's shank forehands in.

I like the courts with big gardens on the perimeter so you can run from corner to corner without having to worry about colliding with anything :yeah:

Seriously though, the camera angles used can/does make it look quite short, I've thought about that with the courts in Paris as well.

I thought Bercy was the one with the abyss at the service line to prevent people approaching the net. But that could just be the camera angle...

great thread. It reminds me of trying to watch Monte Carlo so many times and not being able to see the ball at all (TV/live streams). I wasn't aware that you can play tennis without the ball. Now I realize that tennis court size/length/girth does matter :).

This is due to the camera being installed in one of the bushes at the edge of the seating area. The camera climbs higher once the bush is watered thus making the court wider and wider as the week goes on.

Camera angle and lens makes such a difference!

One of the things I prefer about the Australian Open over the US Open is the camera settings and position.
